- $50,000 Saturday special – 5 games
Bombers v Swans, Suns v Tigers, Crows v Power, Dogs v Cats, Dockers v Eagles
Andrew Gaff MID, $10,100
Has a history of dominating the Derby, as you can see by his last five in this matchup with scores of 109, 114, 120, 109 and 134 in his last five. Before a ‘poor’ game at home in his last appearance there where he scored 92, he was on a run of 15 triple figure scores and looks a sure think to get back to triple figures, even with the likely treatment from the Freo crowd.
Nat Fyfe, $9,700
Speaking of loving the Derby, someone you can guarantee will step up is the Docker skipper. He is in great form with a score of 133 last week and has eight triple figure scores in his last nine games with the arch rival. He averages 118 in his last five at home and Mark Hutchings is out so the tag concern is lessened.
Jarrod Witts RUC, $9,000
The Tigers have been leaking huge points in the ruck department and the in form Sun is just the man to take advantage of it. Marshall and O’Brien have been huge the last couple of weeks with 128 and 146 respectively with Soldo only playing against the Saints. Ironically, history says no in his individual matchup but surely he goes 120.
Tom Rockliff MID, $9,400
The Pig has a history of going nuts after coming back from an injury layoff and his numbers in the Showdown are mouth watering. Not to mention he eased his way back into footy with a lazy 203 in the SANFL from 57 possessions, so I think he is ready to go. In his last three vs the Crows, he has demonstrated the ceiling we need with scores of 149 and 127.
Travis Boak FWD, $9,800
This is a great opportunity to fill a fwd spot who plays mid against the team giving up the most points to opposition midfielders. He scored 113 on them in his most recent matchup and has been in sensational form at home with an average of 118 this year while not dropping under triple figures. He looks set for a big one.
