My Team 2019: Version 2.0

The first week of the JLT Community Series calls for a new My Team post.

AFL Fantasy is here for 2019! The JLT Community Series is here and we’ll be playing with our teams more and more up until that full lockout at 7:50pm AEDT on Friday 22nd March.

All prices can be found by clicking here. Below is how initial prices have been calculated.

  • $12,800,000 salary cap is projected.
  • Players are priced based on their output last season. eg. 2018 average x magic number (approx 7142 for 2019).
  • Players who missed a full season receive a discount of 30% on their 2017 average.
  • Players who have missed two or more seasons received a discount of 35% on their last available average.
  • Players playing less than 10 games receive a 3% discount on each game under 10. eg. Play 5 games in 2016, then they receive a 15% discount. This is applied to the higher of their season average from the last two years.

Don’t forget to read the targets by Pete from aflratings.com.au on each club where you can also listen to the podcasts and download a printable pdf. Click here to access the articles. If you wish to continue using DT Live’s Drawing Board, click here to access Chad’s masterpiece.

Correct – however to be fair to OP not too many of these guys weren’t on all our radars pre-JLT.

I’d be careful about the roles of some of the rooks as others come back into sides (Butters/Hately/Balta)

Not sold on Worpel with O’Meara, Shiel etc set to come back in.

Love Cogs and Laird as picks.

Zac Clarke the biggest worry for mine especially as he changes your entire structure.

  9. The Chosen Juan

    March 4, 2019 at 12:40 pm

If English is selected R1, can it be justified selecting Jacobs over him for R2? Jacobs average dropped from 99.4 in 2017 to 81.5 in 2018 (22 games played in each season), only tonning up four times last year with a season low score of 57. JS aside, are people comfortable spending an extra $145k for a regressing big man? Especially with the ability to (somewhat) downgrade English -> Mumford after round two should be scoring poorly/is dropped.

    Thoughts?

Yitzhak Rabin (/rəˈbiːn/;[1] Hebrew: יצחק רבין, IPA: [jitsˈχak ʁaˈbin] (About this soundlisten); 1 March 1922 – 4 November 1995) was an Israeli politician, statesman and general. He was the fifth Prime Minister of Israel, serving two terms in office, 1974–77 and 1992 until his assassination in 1995.

Rabin was born in Jerusalem to Ukrainian-Jewish immigrants and was raised in a Labor Zionist household. He learned agriculture in school and excelled as a student. He led a 27-year career as a soldier. As a teenager he joined the Palmach, the commando force of the Yishuv. He eventually rose through its ranks to become its chief of operations during Israel’s War of Independence. He joined the newly formed Israel Defense Forces in late 1948 and continued to rise as a promising officer. He helped shape the training doctrine of the IDF in the early 1950s, and led the IDF’s Operations Directorate from 1959 to 1963. He was appointed Chief of the General Staff in 1964 and oversaw Israel’s victory in the 1967 Six-Day War.

Rabin served as Israel’s ambassador to the United States from 1968 to 1973, during a period of deepening U.S.–Israel ties. He was appointed Prime Minister of Israel in 1974, after the resignation of Golda Meir. In his first term, Rabin signed the Sinai Interim Agreement and ordered the Entebbe raid. He resigned in 1977 in the wake of a financial scandal. Rabin was Israel’s minister of defense for much of the 1980s, including during the outbreak of the First Intifada.

In 1992, Rabin was re-elected as prime minister on a platform embracing the Israeli–Palestinian peace process. He signed several historic agreements with the Palestinian leadership as part of the Oslo Accords. In 1994, Rabin won the Nobel Peace Prize together with long-time political rival Shimon Peres and Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat. Rabin also signed a peace treaty with Jordan in 1994. In November 1995, he was assassinated by an extremist named Yigal Amir, who opposed the terms of the Oslo Accords. Amir was arrested and convicted of Rabin’s murder; he was sentenced to life imprisonment. Rabin was the first native-born prime minister of Israel, the only prime minister to be assassinated and the second to die in office after Levi Eshkol. Rabin has become a symbol of the Israeli–Palestinian peace process.

OK guys time to see how much (or little) you know your players:
Which forward averaged 98.3 after his bye (he played every game after the bye), but averaged 80 before the bye? You would think that lots of people have picked him as he is in Top 6 forward contention, but only 0.51% of players have jumped on him (and no he isn’t injured or anything). He didn’t play JLT1 because of soreness (late change) but that shouldn’t affect the % anyway as the website hasn’t updated from before JLT.

Priced at 88 which is already 10pts above his previous best season.

Also only 2x 100s against top 8 sides last year and starts this season with Col, Mel, ADE, GWS, Hawks.

      Think that covers things. Pass

Howdy all. I’d like your thoughts on this, my current RDT team. I’m pretty happy with it overall, but if anyone has any better suggestions for R2 I’m all ears, because Clarke/Smith seems like a really dodgy combo.

    Team Name: The Harlequins
    Cash Remaining: $7,100

    Def: R.Laird, J.Lloyd, L.Whitfield, A.Witherden, J.Clark, J.Scrimshaw (C.Burgess, M.Hore)

    Mid: J.Macrae, S.Coniglio, P.Cripps, A.Treloar, R.Sloane, J.Caldwell, C.Constable, W.Hayes (N.Hind, B.Bewley, M.Gibbons)

    Fwd: P.Dangerfield, S.Menegola, T.Boak, T.Greene, W.Setterfield, M.Parker (W.Drew, N.Balta)

As always, the rookies are subject to change, but I think I’ve picked a good group that are likely to get games in Round 1. Any and all advice is appreciated.

      Over stacked defence.

No Walsh could miss out on good cash cow, Three midfield rookies not a fan of this.

I think we all hope Zac gets a game.

Greene’s chances of playing round 1 are very low and if he does hes under cooked.
