Now for my best and sneaky best options for today…
Nathan Freeman (MID, $4,800)
He’s expensive for his first run, so lets just hope that turns a few people away from him today.
The feel-good story of the year is finally happening and this guy isn’t in the team through sentimentality (good word Cal) but he is there off the back of some ripping VFL form that has seen him score 139, 117 and 100. LOCK! And good luck Nath!
Dayne Beams (MID, $9,400)
He will be one of my big boys today that I’m happy to pay up for.
Beams scored 137 against the Roos earlier this year and could even be better on his home track today where he has scored 5×110+ scores in his last six games, with 133 in his last.
Beams scored 129 last week and is one of my first selected midfielders for this Saturday Special.
Paul Ahern (MID, $5,100)
He just might ton-up again today.
Fresh off a huge 118 last week, Ahern is in some hot form and with Higgins on the sidelines, his midfield opportunities increase massively.
He debuted against the Lions who he meets today and on that occasion he had 29 disposals and 92pts.
The writing is on the wall today for another awesome score and at his price, you can’t really go wrong.

Josh Dunkley (FWD, $7,900)
Roy’s new crush.
But with scores of 116, 104, 99 and 109 coming in his last four games, Roy’s love for this man is very warranted.
The thing is, Jack Steele will run with Macrae tonight and this will free up Dunkley more than ever against the Saints who are not much chop at the moment.
As a forward he is Moneyball Gold… So I’m with you on this one Roy.
Jarrod Lienert (DEF, $3,500)
We have to run with these rookies today for multiple reasons.
1 – I want some of these big guns, and to get to them, we need to save money.
2 – A guy like Lienert is the perfect man to do it. Coming off scores of 72 and 79, he plays his first Showdown and in recent weeks Short (108) and Hurn (99) didn’t struggle against the Crows coming off the back half.
Brodie Grundy (RUC, $10,400)
After telling everyone to go with Grundy as their captain this week ahead of Tom Mitchell… I need Grundy to be huge today.
Not only to ease the stress on my Twitter account but for my own personal health as well.
Grundy WILL be big today. Over the last five weeks, ruckmen have had a field day against Sinclair and the Swans, averaging 108.
Now, Grundy is not like other rucks. He’s a ruckpig and is averaging a huge 118 this year.
Last time he played the Swans in 2017, he had his second biggest score for the year of 133.
Grundy is in wicked form coming off a very impressive 147 last week which consisted of 23 touches, 3 marks and a huge 10 tackles.
Mark my words… we have a 150 on the cards right here.
