Only one game this week, but still plenty of cash up for grabs, so let’s do this!
Patrick Dangerfield ($9,900 MID)Â is now flirting with bargain territory given be is now a tick under 10K. Although we are not seeing the scoring we became accustomed to in recent seasons, he is still averaging 106 in his last six with a low of 96 which makes him a safe bet. Add to this he scored 130 and 114 against the Tigers last year and he is worth a punt.
Tom Stewart ($7,500 DEF) It is a great chance to chase a high scoring defender from the Cats given the Tigers are the 4th easiest to score against down back. This year Stewart has enjoyed a high scoring role, with plenty of loose man and switching in play. When he has managed nine marks this year, he has scores of 103, 110, 118 and 103 and I think he will reach triple figures again.
Jayden Short ($6,600 DEF)Â has embraced the opportunity to fill the boots of the injured Houli and his scores are reflecting that with 88, 104 and 100 in his last three while racking up off half back. The extra incentive here is that Geelong give up the fourth most points to opposition small/medium defenders this year.

Joel Selwood ($9,100 MID)Â has been in great form, averaging 106 in his last five which makes him a bargain at that price… But, this a buyer beware moment as his numbers against the Tigers are less than impressive with just one triple figure score in his last five. Those numbers make his a good reason to avoid in my opinion with plenty of star power available in the same price range.
Jordan Cunico ($5,800 MID)Â looks a nice spot to save some money on a one game slate. I like the fact he has a nice ceiling, scoring over 90 on three occasions this year and he has been in good form the last two weeks with scores of 84 and 96 coming from 24 and 26 touches respectively.
Gary Ablett ($9,700 MID) is the pick of the bunch in my opinion and will be first picked in my Geelong heavy team. He ticks all boxes with an average of 121 in his last three, coupled with the fact he loves to dominate the Tigers. He has not dropped under triple figures against them in his last five games and has a nice ceiling in that time with three scores over 120 and a high of 141.
Good luck!
Roy
