Round three is upon us and team sheets are in. This week is arguably the first where we’ve faced carnage, with multiple popular selections missing through injury, suspension and omission.

Tom Scully succumbs to a broken ankle against the Pies.
Leading the OUTs this week is Tom Scully (Mid $539,000) who misses for the Giants after breaking his ankle against Collingwood on the weekend. Joining him on the GWS bench is Zac Langdon (Fwd $220,000) who is set to miss four weeks with a broken hand. This will come to an inconvenience to his coaches as he was providing handy bench cover for the 19% who selected him.
For the Crows, premium midfielder Matt Crouch (Mid $721,000) will be out with a hamstring injury. Crouch unfortunately went down against the Tigers after scoring just 33 points. Also out for the Crows is first year player Darcy Fogarty (Fwd/Mid $270,000) who has been omitted for the returning Tom Lynch (Fwd $640,000).

The reigning premiers Richmond have lost Josh Caddy (Mid/Fwd $552,000) to suspension and in turn have decided it’s time for Dion Prestia (Mid $577,000) to make his return.Joining Caddy in Michael Christensen’s bad books and rounding out the triple j special are resident bad boy James Sicily (Def/Fwd $534,000) and Jack Bowes (Def $380,000); all of whom are set to miss for one week.
Big man Matthew Kreuzer (Ruck $720,000) returns for the Blues, whilst dynamic midfielder Scott Selwood (Mid $704,000) has been named on the extended interchange bench for the Cats Sunday game against the Eagles. In terms of rookie selections, junior swine Jack Higgins (Fwd/Mid $238,000) has also made his way onto the extended bench. Higgins averaged 110 at TAC cup level and could be a handy cash cow if he can establish some decent job security. Also in line to make his AFL debut is St Kilda defender Nicholas Coffield (Def/Mid $256,000), who comes in after an abysmal team performance where the Saints went down by 52 points to North Melbourne. Joining Coffield coming in for the Saints is Luke Dunstan (Mid $617,000) who was a surprise absentee from their round one squad.
Keep watch as the Sunday extended benches will be finalised on Friday and we get a better idea of who made need to go! Feel free to ask questions and start discussion below or you can reach me on twitter at JelmsDT.
