DT TALK Live: Round 4

Well, thanks to all who tuned into our first go at making a ‘professional’ DT TALK Live episode. It has recorded beautifully, so you can catch it all here now. Thanks to all who joined in the chat and tweeted us questions. Seeya next week at 6pm AEST!

Here is our first real go at making a ‘professional’ DT TALK Live episode. Some stuff worked well, but some was pretty awful! Haha. We will get better – we promise! Have a look below from what we started recording at (after the intro). Enjoy!

So, what did people think? I know the lagging was an issue… hopefully that was better towards the end. The recorded version is absolutely fine. So, fingers crossed that will work alright again next week. Tune in at 6pm next Thursday!

yea started out horrible then got better as the show went on, didnt lag at all for the last 30 min and the video only lagged after about 10 minutes and the audio was fine

Thought the live stream was pretty good. Although there was a 10-20 second lag in video every few minutes, the audio never broke up, so there were no problems following the feed.

Funny shite, as usual, especially Calvin’s ‘tockle’ comments!! :-)

+1. Loved the roll of tape to prop up the football!
And chop was at his very best with the “I dont care if you goy knocked up,” bit!
But early on you accidently referred to our boy Brodie Martin- geez, 2 Brodies in the same team!
I know you were referring to B. Smith, (& not the one from the 80’s tv series “Prisoner.”) hahaha.
      Excellent vi ew ing! (oops, sorry about the lag- viewing.) (-;

Went well. Great effort lads. Once piece of advice: if you get corporate sponsorship, it’s probably a good idea to make sure that particular brand is shown clearly at all times. In tonight’s show, I just couldn’t tell which beer brand you guys were backed by. Probably need a few extra stubbies on the table, maybe. Burp!

Sadly, I think that’s because 1). We enjoy our BOAG’S DRAUGHT… and 2). We are lazy and didn’t clean the studio after last week! Haha. Recycling night tonight… must remember to get those in the wheelie bin!

Great show boys. Just a bit of constructive criticism.

    1. Echo in the audio. Need to soften the room up a bit to get rid of the echo. Furnishings and curtains will do this, or mike yourselves up.

    2. Tablecloth – hope that was not the Australian flag you were using as a beer coaster.

    3. Boags bottles – good to acknowledge the sponsor, but perhaps a few too many bottles. Maybe a sign on the front of the desk or a professional DT Talk banner behind you sponsored by Boags.

Fantastic episode – keep the good work up. No sidewards trades – only used by The King Of Losers.

That’s where you are wrong my man! There is a Chopper – he has had that nickname for years (his ears look like Chopper Reed’s, but not as bad). Haha.

You might see more of a similarity to the artist formally known as “Vin Twin” or “Ronie”. He is a real person. His involvement with DT TALK has been cut back (because of work)… but we will see some cameos from the legend!

Can’t wait for the next live show and the Easter Bunny will be kind to us by giving all of us a partial lockout- Brisbane and St Kilda players first, followed by a FULL lockout at 1.10pm Perth time on the 23rd of April I believe.

Just on the downgrade discussion there boys, I went Goddard down to Curnow before round 3. The way I look at it, I make 80k or so due to the price drop, I pick up who looks like being the cash cow of the season, and I also have a big chunk of change to spend on upgrades in a few weeks, which will reduce the amount of culling I have to do in order to upgrade.

Is it possible that trading for no financial gain can be worth it?

Love your work boys. I assume this format is replacing your weekly episodes of the past. I like the idea of the live interactive format but would still love to see some of your pre-recorded stuff (maybe one or two skits a show including Albert Lord PHD, ‘Don’t Go There’ etc.).

    Keep up the good work
