im in a bit of a pickle.
which of these 2 would be the best option, not just round 1 but long term.

petrie and murphy looks better long term i reckon. but youll have to live with petrie not playing early. murphy is an absolute star and should lift his average over 102ish after having a full preaseason.

It depends on your strategy…I would go Cox Houli… Cox is in top shape and will challenge for no. 1 ruck IMO… and if you pick him would be a keeper!

IMO I would rather Cox as a keeper. Rucks are unique! I also think Petrie and Faser are risky… My rucks are Sandi and Cox with 2 rookies on the pine… in the end it comes down to your stategy!

yeah im leaning towards Cox and Houli
as i wont have a 0 round 1 also with Petrie or Fraser out
i will be going the Sandi Cox combo.

I’ve got this guy in at the moment but I am still not sure about him.
Doesn’t seem like much of an accumulator from what i have seen thus far.

well i wanted 2 bench rookies to DDP with, Heppell is my backline DDP with Hibberd in the middle. Do you guys not rekon this is a good idea?

whatever fits your structure, but i only have a def/mid rookie in the mids.

I’ve thought about it but I think the DPP value is in the mids/forwards, Im happy that my three bench defenders will be able to cover outs. Will look to pick up ben jacobs once he’s recovered from glandular fever and get him into the mids before his price rise to give dpp into the backs later down the track. Looks so far like Hibberd doesn’t score that well and am also unsure on job security.

all depends on wether he plays round 1 or not.. but i think just having heppel in your mids is enough to give u the link with god, gibbs and lids..

Just incase everyone was wondering, Jacobs is back training with the team, still not on full bore, but he’s over the worse of it in anycase. Shouldnt set him back too far, but I reakon he wont play till round4-5 now at the earliest

What are peoples thoughts on Sandilands this year given the sub rule?
Obviously if he plays entire games out he will be the premier ruck again given he gets 40 points in taps alone but i am very concerned about him being subbed off.
The facts are freo will again play finals. Sandi last year was a big contributor to that buy him taking almost the entire ruck duties. This had a telling effect on his body come finals. I dont think Harvey will allow this to happen again and i can just see if freo are in either a telling position or losing badly he will get subbed off in the last quarter, having major effects on his scoring.
Is anyone else thinking this may be the case?
