  • Zerrett and Coniglio
    Kelly and Cripps?

  • Stringer fans:
Merrett just said according to aflratings
“It would be great to have him around the midfield.. for 5 to 10 minutes per Qtr” ~ Zach Merrett.
    Thoughts guys?

  • Thoughts on team:

Def: Laird, Lloyd, Crisp, Sicily, McGrath, doedee

Mid: Titch, Danger, Rocky, Parker, Omera, Brayshaw (freo), LDU, Kelly

    Rucks; Gawn, Nic Nat

Fwd: Billings, Heeney, Petracca, Lobb, Higgins,Ahern

    • Fantasy man just a couple to look out for. Billings has done a hammy and Lobb still has groin issues. In an interview with Hardwick he doesn’t think Higgins will be able to force his way into the premiership team until mid-season. Cheers

      • I gather that statement is more to decrease the expectations from supporters.

It will depend on Higgins preseason and whether Rioli is fit for Round 1, which would be very unlikely considering the conservative approach RFC is taking.

        • Higgins wont play early. Saw a media thingo from Dimma and he pretty much said he wont play early on, but would be disappointed if both draftees don’t put their hand up mid way through the year.

          Drowngrade target.

          5:00 – 5:30

          • They are more likely to pick a Shai Bolton or Tyson Stengle, Richmond are big on their system now. Donna said these ping guys will take some time to get used to the system and AFL load. And yes I am a Tiges supporter

        • i think you are Higgins father. Go to tigers web hardly a word spoken about him sorry even the AFLX here is no mention of him – give it up dude or put him and put the big ‘C’ on him

  • Beams or Cogs and spend the 70k somewhere else?

    • Beama

    • As much as I hate to say it, I can’t trust in Beams body and wont pick him because of it at this point.
      Cogs + 70k.

    • Beams for me. Despite his injury history i just can’t not pick him. His ceiling is too good to pass on for mine. Though having said that he is out of my side at present, only cos I’m only running with 4 premo mids. If i go back to 5 then he’ll slip back in

    • Cogs plus 70.

No preseason last year and discounted due to injury and games played.

      Averaged 115 in finals.

Beams has a discount due to a 5 in his average. He did have quite a few 140’s last year and I’m not sure he will replicate that. If teams tag Beams and Zorko, then there is no one of note left to get you.

  • Alrighty change up the team:

Def: Laird, Hurley, crisp, Brayshaw, O’Shea, keefe (doedee, Murray)
Mid: titch, zerrett, m crouch, rocky, cogs, jom, Brayshaw, ldu (kelly, freeman)
Ruc: Gawn, Nic Nat (Cameron, frampton)
Fwd: Devon smit, Robinson, Sicily, stringer, setterfield, Venables (Ahern, Rioli)

    $0 in the kitty

  • How are we looking here fellas?

DEF: Laird, Simpson, Ellis, Brayshaw, Murray, Doedee (Keefe, Goddard)

MID: Danger, Titch, Kelly, Fyfe, Cripps, JOM, LDU, T Kelly (Ahern, GEE Fogarty, Holman)

    RUC: Big Sauce, Gawn (Cameron)

FOR: Heeny, Walters, Sicily, Christensen, Setterfield, Higgins (Starcevich, Garlett)

Just couldn;t justify not having Danger in my team! Who thinks he is worth the money?? Forward line could probably use some improvement and not many POD options in my team is a bit disappointing. Would be stoked with any feedback at all

    • Got Danger in my team. He is always a lock despite his price, you don’t pick him to maintain or increase his price, you pick him for the points!

    • I put Danger on hold last year thinking he would come down in price after a few rounds. That move cost me half a season in my comp

  • simpson laird brayshaw doedee o’shea cumming (murray mirra)

zerrett titch crouch kelly rocky fyfe JOM LDU (brayshaw wigg kelly)

    sauce gawn (english)

heeney robbo sicily ahchee setterfield higgins (stephenson ahern)

  • Hibberd (melb) and zerrett
    Dusty and Hurley?

    cheers lads

    • Dusty and Hurley.

      • Very close. 1 for me just

        • I’m personally not a fan of Merrett.

          • I on the other hand am lol

          • Scott I have noticed you are nothing but full of shit. You seem to be happy that you think you know everything which you don’t but your not happy when someone disagrees with you.

          • What is it with you and Merrett anyway? He bang your mom?

          • Someone did disagree with me, but I didn’t sulk about it or get angry, all I said was that I wasn’t a fan of him. I had no issue with someone saying they preferred the Merrett option. Is he your man crush? Sorry to burst your bubble.

          • And Matches, I just don’t think he is a very good player yet he is hyped up so much. He just roams around the ground picking up cheap possies and that type of player isn’t necessary for AFL football. Don’t worry I’m not clueless, it’s great for fantasy but pointless for the game.

    • I personally think Scott is equally knowleagble as a year 8 version of Hawk.

Hibberd is going to be more consistent with scores compared to Hurley, Dusty and Merrett are very similar, but i feel like Dusty will be the stronger performer of the 2 this year.

I’d go a combo and hit up HIBBO AND DUSTY, either or, go Hibberd and Zach,
I personally believe with Docherty out, and Hibberd in his second year at Melbourne, i think he’ll be top 3 Defenders Between: Laird, Simmo, and himself.

  • Crisp or McDonald?

Little thing to be noted, Crisp has gone at 91.4, 84 & 88.3 the last 3 years while playing every single H&A game.

While McDonald had a breakout year, going from 50’s – 60’s in first 3 seasons to 85 average while playing all 22. Can he step it up again?

    • A strong choice can be made for either player.

I have considered both for my team, but currently have Crisp.

The only real reason is he plays in a more DT scoring friendly side.

    • similar price from memory 603 v 622k

i would go crisp as more consistent over a longer period, but you need to probably look at changes in each team this year

Pies have wells back, pendlebury fit etc, check rest of team and Nth got nothing

  • DEF: Laird, Crisp, Sicily, Brayshaw, Coffield, Murray (Doedee, Mirra)
MID: T.Mitchell, Merrett, Kelly, Rocky, Blakely, O’Meara, LDU, Kelly (Worpel, Poholke)
    RUC: Jacobs, Gawn (English, Cameron)
FWD: McLean, Robinson, Ah Chee, Christensen, Setterfield, Venables (Ahern, Rioli)

    feedback would be great, cheers.

    • Quite a nice looking team.

May be a bit skinny in the forward line, but every team has risks in it at the start of the season.

  • WAIT A SECOND, lets rewind a few comments……

Scott:” He just roams around the ground picking up cheap Possies and that type of player isn’t necessary for AFL football…. Pointless for the game”
    That being about Zach Merrett.

You are officially dumber than hawk, like jesus f**king christ,
You literally just stated that Zach Merrett, is useless besides the fact that he collects disposals and does nothing else. If you had actually tuned on the AFL app or YouTube or even watched a Bombers game, you would see that he actually uses the ball better than 98% of the players in the league. He tackles, goal assists’ and is a game changer!

You claim to have all this research and then you make a dumb c**t comment like that ^^^. You sir sound like a bloke who bases all his thoughts off of stats and not by actually paying attention to how a player goes on the ground with your own eyes.
    Fuck me,

    • If you think Merrett is a game changer then you are dumber than you think I am, you crack me up. I’ve watched plenty of Essendon games and Zach is a useless player, he’s just an accumulator at best.

    • +1
zerrett is a gun, titch and zerrett are the next swan and rocky for fantasy scoring in the next 5 years, zerrett however uses the ball a hell of a lot better than titch and is becoming a genuine superstar

  • Scott …. you have officially been promoted to a squeezer. Congrats

  • Hey all,
Thoughts on team please. Starting to settle on a structure I like.

Laird, Crisp, Shaw, Coffield, O’Shea, Murray (Doedee, Keeffe)

Titch, Zerrett, Kelly, Rocky, Jelwood, JOM, LDU, Kelly (Barry, Freeman)

    Sauce, Gawn (Frampton, Cameron)

Heeney, McLean, Robbo, Christensen, Higgins, Ahern (Rioli, Venables)

M5 is still up on the air between Cogs, Parker, Fyfe, Neale.

I believe Selwood is at least 10 points underpriced as was ave 100 if you take out that 2 laast year. I think he can 106 again this year. Therefore is a bargain IMO.

    • Anti you have a really solid line up now mate. Personally I have Neale at M5, I don’t like Cogs purely because he is in too many teams now. A POD like Neale/Parker/Fyfe can win you games. I also like the Jelwood pick, he is a little up & down but he can still deliver some monster scores.

  • Look its a tad harsh to compare Scott to Hawk, Scott is an average Fantasy coach with limited knowledge of the game, So to compare him to Hawk is not fair for Hawk!

    Good Luck™

    • Cmon boys don’t be too harsh on Scott, I think he is just a young high school kid who gets ahead of himself. Who cares if he’s made a few silly comments, comparing him to Hawk is just cruel..

      • You are Right Andy, To compare Scott to Hawk was a little over the top for this I sincerely apologise, Scott is still an average Fantasy coach with limited knowledge of the game but he is a few rungs above Hawk on the Fantasy ladder.

        Good Luck™

      • Wow you really hit the nail on the head, just came out of high school. But to be fair to myself, I’ve made a lot less stupid comments than half the people on here.

  • I would really recommend not putting Higgins in your team.

5:00 mark. Mid year downgrade targets lads.

  • Jacobs and Coniglio
    Nank and Rocky?

    • It’s going to have to be Nank & Rocky because imo Rocky is must have.

      • It’s the only real way I can fit Rocky in. I think Nank has upside though and can go 90+. Grundy has the Cox effect, Stef has Archie, Kreuzer is bloody expensive and Sauce has no real upside. Not too many safe bets so may be worth looking at a Nank type

  • Fellas I am feeling the love a bit I appreciate it but I must confess. I am Scott too 😈😈 sorry about not leaving a bit of advice or comments lately. I am currently over in Hawaii living it up on my 3 weeks off. So much beer and ass on tap here.

  • Thoughts on my team are appreciated, looking a little different at the moment.

Def; Lloyd, Crisp, Sicily, Coffield, O’Shea, Doedee. (Murray, Smith)
Mid; Titch, Treloar, Crouch, Beams, Rocky, JOM, Brayshaw, LDU. (Kelly, Worpel)
    Ruck; Gawn, Sandi. (Cameron, Frampton)
Fwd; Billings, McLean, Smith, Christensen, Rayner, Stephensen. (Venables, Ahern.)

Will need to see Billings is fine, don’t like soft tissue worries this close to R1.

Rookies subject to change. Smith JLT role watch. Sandi JLT watch.

    • For me its close to the best team you have posted!

      Good Luck™

      • Close to the best isn’t reassuring, I would hope my team gets better as we get closer to R1!!

      • i notice few teams gone back to playing 3 rookies on field in def, what re your thoughts on that? seems little risky to me giving low JS for defenders

        • Three rookies on any line is dangerous, Seen it before teams spend every second week sideways trading to avoid donuts instead of using those trades to improve the team.

          Good Luck™

          • fair call and guess why your response above was ‘best team you have posted’ not ‘this is a good team with no room to improve’

    • Sandi hey,i dont have to tell ya wat i think of that

    • I’m seriously considering Sandi as well. If he and Sean Darcy are named r1 then I may have to take Sandi. With the thought of with Darcy playing forward while Sandi rucks he will drop in price while Sandi at least holds his price. Then if Sandi gets injured I can trade him to Darcy who by then will hopefully be a downgrade from the big veteran.

Now, I may be crazy or onto something. Hmm which one…

  • Draft league and looking to pick up a backman – which one:

  • Zerrett,Treloar and 28k
    Kelly,Adams and 11k?

    • Super tough. On the basis of me liking money in the bank going into round one, I’d take Merret and Treloar.

Honestly though, there isn’t a wrong choice here.

  • Thoughts on Nankervis and what he can average? Last 5 of 96, could be upside there

    • Don’t think he goes any better than last season, pass for me. You’re basing “value/upside” based on the last 5 games, out of a 22 game season, when we’re in a completely new season with new players coming back from injury? Eh.

      • Just saying that he got better as the year went on and could take that into a new season and it could be the norm for him as he’s still young

    • Well that’s weird, I didn’t even know Nank averaged that over his last 5 but that’s exactly what my prediction is of what he will average this season. 96

      • As a Tigers supporter the only thing throwing me away from Nank the fact that he may not e sole for for some games, Hampson may push up forward but has been on a modified program for his back. Simms has also said that Chol and Soldo have trained well and could fill that role!

      • Nanks 3 round average of 109.7 was the best of any of the ruck (exclude bellchambers who only played 2 of last 3)

        scors were 70 / 140 / 119

    • Nank is only like not even 24 – 23 years 186 days – Rucks apparently dont really mature until around 24-25

This was his first ever full season of AFL now coming into second previous 2 seasons % & 6 games resepctively

He just seemed to be getting the idea as the season went on, i recon he is good for easy 90, possibly 95 now im personally not prepared to pay an extra $136k for a ruckman Grundy who may or may not score at 106 like last year or a Kruzer who scored at 104 – to many variables with rucks

I cant see tigers playing both hampson and nank, personally

at worst he is a place holder who will get you 85-90 points avg and you use the $136k to spend on a mid player who will score you more points and maybe if you have to come back later in year and upgrade nank

  • Simpson and j Higgins
    Sicily and stringer

  • What do we see Cripps averaging? Looks good value

  • Kelly v Zerrett? Just can’t split them. Kelly went at like 118 over his last 13-14 games, absolutely love him as an option, but Zerrett may go to another level also

  • Please leave comments

Def: Laird, Simpson, Mcgrath, Brayshaw, O’Shea, Doedee (Smith, Murray)

Mid: Titch, Danger, Rockliff, Cripps, Coniglio, JOM, Dow, LDU (Wigg, Garlett, T.Kelly

    Ruck: Sauce, Gawn (Cameron)

For: Billings, Heeney, Robinson, Lobb, Christensen, Rayner (Higgins, Ahern)

    • Great team, going for value…Simpson could be a little bit of a POD. Only thing I can say is Wigg won’t play till the end of the year and is a downgrade target. Try and go Brayshaw over Dow, seems to be traveling better then Dow. I take it this is RDT so Rayner is worth it in that format, just watch is JLT and see how he is getting around the ground.

  • My team…
    Backline: R.Laird – L.McDonald – J.Sicily – N.Vlastuin – N.Coffield – C.O’shea
    Bench: T.Doedee – S.Murray

    Midfield: T.Mitchell – A.Trealor – D.Beams – T.Rockliff – J.O’Meara – A.Brayshaw – P.Dow – LDU
    Bench: T.Kelly – N.Freeman

    Ruckman: S.Jacobs – M.Gawn
    Bench: T.English – D.Cameron

    Forwards: J.Billings – T.McClean – K.Lambert – A.Christensen – W.Setterfield – J.Stephenson
    Bench: W.Rioli – D.Venables

With Broad our for the first few rounds I see Vlastuin pushing up the ground as well as floating around the halfback like he did when he came back from injury towards the end of year. Lambert will see more mid time with Cotchin to see more forward time with Dusty as well. I am a Tigers supporter so they have been the team I have been focusing on. Fell free to critique!

    • Thank f**k something different, looks alright mate

    • Who is..

T McClean not sure I see him on my list and what’s his average.?

      Good Luck™

      • McLean your sarcastic dick muncher, acting like there isn’t spelling mistakes done by you before. Use some common sense and see who would be placed there and for that price. With a name like chosen one I thought you would know how to use common sense? Oh yeah and Good Luck

        • Because you cannot spell I’m a sarcastic dick muncher, Ok I see how that works.

          BTW its Chosen Won*

          Good Luck™

          • Have some common sense, if it bothers you that much MCLEAN!!! MCLEAN!!! MCLEAN!!! Have some common sense you f**king idiot! And I know it is Chosen Won, I prefer to say one because I like to boost up your ego to make you feel better about yourself, cause you life must be boring enough to focus on little spelling mistakes. Plus I don’t think I will be saying Chosen One at all this year in the league! Oh yeah Good Luck!

          • You mean the league I run that I am going to kick you from just before lockout?

            Good Luck™

          • Would seem like a pussy move tbh, and you keep saying btw it’s Chosen won, okay Chosen one all I got to say is Good Luck!

  • Robinson for Lambert, and then Vlaustin for Andrew Mcgrath

  • I think I’m set with this team going into JLT and Round 1

DEF: Laird, Simpson, Ellis, Brayshaw, Doedee, Murray (Keefe, Mirra)

MID: Danger, Titch, Kelly, Fyfe, Rocky, JOM, LDU, T Kelly (Ahern, Fogarty GEE, Barry)

    RUC: Witts, Gawn (Cameron)

FOR: Heeney, Walters, Sicily, Christensen, Setterfield, Stephenson (Starcevich, Ryan)

Any feedback at all would be much appreciated!!

    • Like the Simpson and Ellis picks, Danger seems to be in very few teams. Got some picks here that no one may pick which could set you apart from thr rest or have you behind the eight ball. Overall Good team, just watch for the rooks over the JLT and rest of the Pre-Season!

  • G’day guys, heard my current version of my team, would love to hear your thoughts. It might be considered a little vanilla but I always find it’s the trades you make during the season that make or break your year. Cheers.

TEAM NAME: ?. (AFL Fantasy 2018)

    • I don’t like it there could b chance you beat me, Please delete and auto fill :)

My only issues is LOBB you have 2 rucks already so if you got him for his DPP status then I am confused, If you got him for value and to make money then I think there could be better options who can make more cash faster.

      Good Luck™

    • Cheers guys, I originally had Ryder in the ruck, therefore Lobb was there to cover the bye with potential DPP. Thanks for the feedback.

  • Def: Laird, Crisp,Sicily, Hibberd (NM), O’Shea,Doedee (Murray,Mirra)

    Mid: Titch,Kelly,Treloar,Rocky,Cripps,JOM,LDU,Kelly (Worpel,Freeman)

    Ruck:Gawn,Sauce (English,Cameron)

    For: Heeney,McLean,Devon, Christensen,Setterfield,Ahern (Rioli,Venables)

30k remaining, any feedback greatly appreciated

  • Hey guys, been out of action for a while but had a bit of a play around with my team. Gone away from the pure guns & rookies i was keen on but actually really happy with this team (pending JLT form & rnd 1 selection obviously!)

    Would love your thoughts!

Def: Laird, Simpson, Crisp, Sicily, Coffield, Hibberd (Doedee, Murray)

Mids: Titch, Merrett, Kelly, Rocky, O’Meara, Brayshaw, LDU, Kelly (Starcevich, Worpel)

    Rucks: Kruezer, Gawn (English, Cameron)

Fwds: Billings, Heeney, Christensen, Setterfield, Bennell, Venables (Ahern, Rioli)

    $4k remaining

    • Batting deep in defence maybe a the expense of the Midfield?

Running 3 rookie midfielder in the starting 22 can be dangerous with the lack of really good options bench cover will become very important for you to avoid sideways trading to avoid donuts.

Christensen at F3 for me personally is a little light on and Bennell remains doubtful for round 1.

      Overall some solid picks.

      Good Luck™

      • And there are solid Defence Rooks that will play besides Hibbered, Doedee, Murray and stretching it O’Shea and Cumming. Mirra won’t get a gig early, either will Guthrie. Backline rookies are more riskier this year then the midfield rooks!

        Good Luck

  • Simpson, Brayshaw, Brayshaw and O’Shea +7k
Michael Hibberd, Ellis, Tim Kelly and 170k on field +14k

  • Toby McLean, Devon Smith and Matt Crouch

Brendon Ah Chee, Zerrett and Barlow

  • Menegola (115+), would he be best suited at F1 or M5. ???? Thoughts homies

  • Cripps or Parker?

  • Thoughts on Clayton Oliver? Coming into his third year. Very consistent scorer last year and should naturally improve with another year under his belt.

    • If someone taught him how to kick and not handball he would average 120, Should be around the 105 range.

      177 Kicks
      482 Handballs

      That’s Putrid for Fantasy!

      Good Luck™

  • Kelly and Lobb
    Cripps and Devon Smith?

  • Looking over some teams, I’m still trying to work out considerable structure without altering my team too much.

At the moment, my current Mid is Titch, Danger, Kelly, Adams, Rocky, JOM, Andy Brayshaw, LDU, (Kelly, Freeman)

I’m toying with dropping Danger down to a forward or Defender Premium in order to strengthen on of those lines.

    My current squad is now:

DEF: Laird, Hibberd, Burton, Coffield, O’shea, Cumming, (Mira, Murray)
MID: Titch, Danger, Kelly, Adams, Rocky, JOM, Andy Brayshaw, LDU, (Kelly, Freeman)
    RUCK: Witts, Gawn, (English, Cameron)
FWD: McLean, Sicily, Stringer, Rayner, Setterfield, Ahern (Venables, Waterman)
    27k left,

Anyone got any specific worries, I’ve tried to not put in the overly popular mid priced guys like McGrath and Lobb but also trying to keep lines strong.

    • As I am reading it I’m thinking you have done well, Very well in fact then I get to the forward line…

Sicily F2, Stringer F3… Now that takes balls!

      Good Luck™
