    • Kelly for me, I just think Dusty could have a slow start with a Premiership/Brownlow/Norm Smith hang over.

Saying that thou both will be in many top teams by seasons end!

      Good Luck™

      • In the event that Dusty can remove the odd 60 or 70 could average 118+. Could simply come down to which one provides the best bye structure.

        • I agree he will feature in the top 10 midfielders I was just saying his head maybe still a little large from last seasons achievements and could be a little slow out of the starting gate.

          Good Luck™

          • I concur with your philosophy – my hypothetical was more hope as I am likely going to start with him.

  • Welcome again to another year of Dreamteam Football…

  • Very interested in feedback from my first crack at a 2018 team:

B: Yeo, Ellis, A.Brayshaw, Bonner, Keeffe, Doedee – EMG: Johnson, H.Goddard

M: Mitchell, Dangerfield, Heppell, Bontempelli, Armitage, O’Meara, J.Smith, D.Barry – EMG: Ahern, Wigg

R: Gawn, Naitanui EMG: McInery, English

F: Menegola, Barlow, Smith, Parish, Lobb, Higgins EMG: Ryan, Kirby

    Cash leftover: $11k

    • Love the menegola pick Matt I can see you have been doing your research about him spending more time in the middle. With that you arehalf way to receive the car keys from Roy at the end of the season. He has been a lock for me since day one. Keeper and top 3 forward/mid by seasons end.

  • Update on HIGGINS (Richmond)

Lets gt one thing clear this guy has been drafted by the AFL reigning premiers and he is no walk up, he may get games later in year with poor form or injury.

Obviously if he was drafted by the ADELAIDE CROWS he would be a walk up first round possibly even captain

  • Thoughts on this team?

DEF: Laird, McDonald, Sicily, Brayshaw, Coffield, Doedee, (Murray, MIrra)
MID: Titch, Kelly, Rocky, Coniglio, Blakely, JOM, Brayshaw, LDU, (Freeman, Ahern)
    RUCK: Gawn, Bellchambers, (Frampton, Cameron)
FWD: McLean, Walters, Robinson, Ah Chee, Christensen, Venables, (Rioli, Keeffe)
    $29k remaining

Only change I’m looking at is upgrading Blakely or Coniglio, but I think they are both underpriced and have the ability average 110.

Also, I hear Heeney is back training? Would it be worth downgrading Christensen to Rayner/Stephenson and then upgrading Walters to Heeney?

    • Too many mid priced players for my liking, Could pay off but is very risky and if it doesn’t pay off then you will spend 2018 planning for 2019!

No punch in the Midfield most coach’s are going with 5 Quality midfielders or 4 at worst you have 3.

      It Needs some work Champ.

      Good Luck™

      • Following ‘most coach’s (sic)’ won’t win you the title. Blakey and Coniglio could be huge this year and differentiate your team from the pack. Personally, I don’t like the bellchambers selection. I’d swap Christensen or Ah Chee to Raynor and upgrade Bellchambers to Jacobs

  • Greg, i love that you never reveal even half your squad prior to round 1, but could you help me out and let me know who currently is your F2? Not your F1 or F3, just your second forward. Everyone is struggling there But id love insight more so based on how much you are spending down there.

  • Filling Fanatic Leagues.
    Fantasy: Z3U2FZLP.
RDT: 810535 Guroos. and 387442 Get Real.
    Thanks Guys.

  • I hink I have just made my best team!

    What do you guys think?

Def: Laird, crisp, McGrath, Brayshaw, O’Shea, Mirra (doedee, Murray)
Mid: titch, zerrett, m crouch, rocky, redden, jom, ldu, kelly (freeman, Ahern)
Ruc: Gawn, Nic Nat (Cameron, franpton)
Fwd: Billings, heeney, Robinson, Sicily, setterfield, Venables (keefe, Rioli)

    $3k left.

  • Looking for really good AFL Fantasy players to join the following private leagues:

    1) I’ve added Warnie as an automatic league inclusion in this league, code is UPWLSJJ7

    2) I’ve added Roy as an automatic league inclusion in this league, code is YEA6EM54

    3) I’ve added all three of Roy, Warnie and Calvin in this league, code is 9ASLTMF7

  • JOM or Prestia at M6?

    • JOM. He’s gonna have a full pre season for the first time in a while and priced at 62 (I believe), represents a ton of value and could average close to prestia. Don’t think Prestia is worth 140k more (I think) than JOM.

  • DEF: Yeo, Simpson, Hibberd, Brayshaw, Coffield, Mirra
MID: Titch, Kelly, Merrett, Conigs, Cripps, JoM, Dow, LDU
    RUC: Gawn, Ryder
FWD: Heeney, C.Curnow, Young, Christensen, Venables, Keefe.

    This is my team V2.30
Thoughts or suggestions good or bad very welcome.
    Cheers Lads and Ladies.

  • Thoughts on a forward line of Heeney, McLean, Devon Smith, Rayner, Setterfield and Ahern… A bit of a readjustment with Billings’ hamstring strain and Jack Higgins on the outer

  • DEF: R Laird, J Crisp, J Sicily, C O’Shea, S Murray, N Coffield (T Doedee, D Mirra)
    MID: T Mitchell, J Kelly, A Treloar, M Crouch, T Rockliff, L Davies-Uniacke, T Kelly, A Brayshaw (D Barry, P Ahern)
    RUCK: S Jacobs, M Gawn (D Cameron, T English)
    FWD: J Billings, I Heeney, M Robinson, W Setterfield, C Rayner, D Fogarty (D Venables, W Rioli)

Thoughts? I’ve got 84k left in the bank to play around with the rookies depending on who’s named for round one

  • How many rookie priced players (Rayner is $270k, so $270k and under) do people have starting on field in their current lineups?

I have seen some posts saying coaches have too many rooms on field.

Unless you start with 20 mid pricers, then we are all bound to have rookies starting on the field.

  • Afternoon lads. Got 119k itb and don’t know where/how to spend it. Advice wanted.

    Squads as it stands:

DEF: Laird, Lloyd, Brayshaw, Hibberd (North), Doedee, Murray (Goddard, Mirra).

MID: Titch, Adams, Crouch, Beams, Coniglio, Blakely, LDU, T.Kelly (Moore, Wigg).

    RUC: Grundy, Gawn (Cameron, Flynn).

FWD: Buddy, Robinson, Lobb, Rayner, Stephenson, W.Rioli (Ahern, Venables).

  • With lack of FWD options, could Mclean, D.Smith and Sicily be a viable option at F1-3? Would rather have a Hibberd for example instead of Heeney, by swinging Sicily forward

  • D: Laird, Lloyd, Sicily, McGrath, M.Hibberd, T.Doedee – EMG: J.Smith, S.Murray

M: Mitchell, Kelly, Beams, Rockliff, Blakely, O’Meara, A.Brayshaw, LDU – EMG: Freeman, Wigg

R: Jacobs, Gawn EMG: Cameron, Frampton

F: Walters, Robinson, Stringer, Ah Chee, Stephenson, Ahern EMG: Venables, Rioli

    Cash leftover: $60k

A fair chunk of cash left-over but not sure where to upgrade. Obviously place would be FWDs although not sold on anyone. I think there are strong cases for everyone in my team.

  • Laird (D1), Treloar (M2) and McEvoy
Hibbo (D2), Beams (M3) and Jacobs

  • Call me crazy, but i’m excited for AFLX. Mostly because we get to see the rookies play in somewhat a step up from junior footy.

  • Yeo + Ryder
    Crisp + jacobs

  • Hey Scott (dude who has a photo of Toby Greene and guaranteed a lemon) I take up your challenge of competing against you this year. How bout we spice it up with a bit of a wager. Don’t mean to scare you because your still a minor and a primary school lad but I did finish in top 200 last year.

  • Draft question: Whats the consensus; it best to have restricted free agent Yes or No ?
Filling Fantasy DRAFT: LYWYDA47. The draw is this Friday 5pm.

  • is pendlebury an option or am i just being biased coz he is my fav player. Picked him from the start last year and he never let me down and was in my team till his injury. Reasons for picking him – Will get an average of 106+ like he has done for the past EIGHT YEARS, POD – only 2% ownership, extremely conistent (90+ almost every game) which i believe is key in fantasy, should play 22 games, wont get too many tags with explosive players like Treloar around him. Should i pay up for consistency and durability or am i being stupid?
PLZ help i am stuck, sorry for the long as reply :D
Current Midfield – Titch Zerrett J.Kelly M.Crouch Rockliff Coniglio JOM T.Kelly

    • SHHH. You don’t have to start throwing his name around. Just let us few pay for his consistency and have the others scramble to get him in later when he hopefully starts dominating.

  • Thoughts on Brad Crouch? No talk of him at all. Averaged 114 from his last 12 games last year (including finals) priced at 102

    • I rate his brother more than him to be honest. But hey, he is owned by less than 2%, he is a keeper, has a Fantasy game about him, go with your instincts and pick him

      • Only went above 80% TOG 3 tines last year, a few games in the 60’s too. Once he gets that up consistently in the 80’s he’ll get more points. Being criminally under rated whilst everyone frothes over the same 4-5 premos. Brad is better than Matt too

  • @The Chosen Won and others, going for something a little different, thoughts?

DEF: Laird, Lloyd, Scharanberg, Coffield, M.Hibberd, Smith (Doedee, murray)

MID: Titch, Adams, M.Crouch, Rockliff, Blakely, JOM, Brayshaw, LDU (Worpel, Freeman)

    Ruck: Jacobs, Gawn (Cameron, Frampton)

FWD: Billings, Heeney, Sicily, Rayner, Setterfield, ahern (Rioli, Venables)

    • In my opinion the defence look a bit weak. What i would do is take scharenberg out (in know you want to be a bit different but thats a bit too far IMO), put sicily at D3 and get someone like charlie curnow who is a bit different (ownership of 2.77% in the FWD line). Then you have a bit of money in the bank to strengthen other areas.
If you go stringer instead of curnow then you have enough money to go from Blakely to Josh Kelly and you midfield and overall team starts to look really good.

      • One thing I don’t like is telling others to choose certain players over their own choices.
Blakely is a good pick, likely to gain DPP at some point too.
Stringer IMO will be one pick who takes you further away from the Hilux.

You’re pretty much telling him to choose the exact same players as everyone else, why?
Vanilla is good to a certain point, but there needs to be some sort of POD’s, and Curnow isn’t a fantasy relevant player (yet)

        • IMO Blakely is a great pick, however why not get him in round 6 when he is really relevant as a DEF, pay up. Jake Kelly is a gun and will go 115 at least this year and you don’t want him to be missing out on these scores. For me, there are just some players you just have to have come round 22 if you want to be successful, and Josh Kelly is one of them, so why not start with him and enjoy the ride, not scramble to get him in mid-season. I just don’t think Blakely can clog up a midfield spot, but hey thats just my opinion.

          • Say he averages 100-105 for the first 6 rounds (actually averaged 115+ at half back) then he will be almost 700k by round 6. Not going to be easy to find 300k to upgrade a mid pricer or 400k to find a rookie just to get blakely in.

          • As he’ll be more expensive by that point. He’s only going to be in the midfield for the 6 rounds, then he’s a DPP and swingman for some of those def/mid rookies, that may help with maximising scores.
Yes he’s a gun, and I think he’ll go around the same, but he isn’t in my team. I’ll get him after the byes, i’m starting with value for my midfielders, hoping to save money, and making it easier to get those expensive mids, while still fielding a solid team all around. I I think there’s other players cheaper than Kelly that will average around the same (Treloar, Crouch, Rocky, Beams). Hence why they’re in my team with Titch as captain.
Once again Blakely will do straight into def come R6, and you got him at a 90 odd average, and he most likely will be #1 defender. I understand what you mean, and that’s why I haven’t got him, I feel there’s just better options out there, but for those who do choose him, might be ahead of the pack come R6.

          • Yes it will be hard to get blakely in but that is the type of trades you have to make. What will also be hard will be to see Kelly pump out massive scores knowing that you were just about to select him while 20% of the competition sit back and enjoy his perfomances.

          • Im slowly starting to get tempted into picking Blakely haha, but na i agree with Buckz Boys, you just have to pay up to get him in RD6

      • Scharanberg was out of the game for over a year so had a slow first few games, as expected. Had scores of 98,96,95,97 before an injury affected 51 in his last 6 games. Curnow went above 90 five times in 20+ games. Seems stupid to me?

  • Billings or Coniglio???

billings will be a top fwd but cog will score more?

  • In my opinion the defence look a bit weak. What i would do is take scharenberg out (in know you want to be a bit different but thats a bit too far IMO), put sicily at D3 and get someone like charlie curnow who is a bit different (ownership of 2.77% in the FWD line). Mid: Titch, Merrett, Kelly, Crouch, O’Meara, Brayshaw, LDU, Kelly (Freeman, Ahern)

    Ruc: Jacobs, Gawn (English, Cameron)

Fwd: Heeney, Mclean, Petracca, Lobb, Rayner, Ryan (Rioli, Venables)

    12k left

thoughts greatly appreciated!!! What’s the go with Lobb’s groin injury? should I move him out and if so who to?

  • A.Brayshaw + Uniac + Billings

    A.Young + Rayner + Fyfe

  • Not many sides on this website have danger in there team far as I am concern titch and danger should be the first 2 in your side even if he plays forward at times he probably kick 5 and rack up 100+

  • Anyone struggling on finding Fwds and Def from WCE, bulldogs, hawks and carlton in the 2nd bye round?
What are peoples thoughts on sicily and dahlhaus? Or any other options i should be considering outside of simmo?
