Shags’ Watchlist

Another week another debut. I’d have thought they would have dried up by now, but there are a few more this week, one being Alex Keath (Def $150,000) as a replacement for Jake Lever. As such I don’t think his Job security is great, and he is a key position defender. Interesting back story for Keith as his is a convert from Cricket former Melbourne Stars player.

Shags’ Watchlist

Whats this? Another Roos rookie! Nick Larkey (Def/Fwd $150,000) comes in for an injured Mitchell Hibberd. As such there is actually a chance he could keep his spot as Hibberd is out for awhile. Another tall key position player so I cant see big scores. But its always worth keeping an eye on this new debuts.

MILESTONES: Charlie Dixon – Playing 100th game

Shags’ Watchlist

The Chad, Chad Wingard (Fwd/Mid $547,000) has played some huge games through the mids recently with Port with 136 and 141 in 2 of the last 3 games. He definitely has a high ceiling. Problem is his floor is low (the other score of the 3 was 66 as an example). However his role and scoring at the moment is high enough for you to take note. All he needs is some consistency.

Jarryd Lyons (Ankle), Steven May (Hamstring), Gary Ablett (Hamstring)
Jack Scrimshaw

Shags’ Watchlist

Jack Scrimshaw (Def $238,000) is expensive for a rookie. So why do you choose him? He’s pricey because he is a top 10 pick, and he is a top 10 pick because he is good. He is listed as a Defender, but he’s likely going to have a midfield role, and although very tall falls into the category as very mobile. This all screams potential to me. problem is at this awkward stage of the season most teams are looking to complete teams and his price is awkward, and if he plays well round 1, he will already be $250k+. Definitely worth keeping an eye on though.

Rowan Marshall

Shags’ Watchlist

There are debuts galore this week, and we get a ruck rookie too boot. Rowan Marshall (Ruck $150,000) is an option for those with cash on their ruck benches. He is a mature age rookie, and although a ruck status is more of a utility player with stints in both Defense and forward and a standout in the VFL this year. If he can hold his spot in the team, he could be decent ruck cover.

Conor Glass

Shags’ Watchlist

Its a rookie bonanza this week. Yet another with Conor Glass (Def/Mid $150,000) . Another Irish recruit hailing from Maghera in Northern Ireland.
This strikes me as a true blooding, since he is relatively new to the game, but was a really talented Gaelic Football player. He is also only 19 years old. However as we all know, he could have a great debut and be a star and keep his spot in the 22, especially since hawks are now in rebuild mode this year.

Will Setterfield, Isaac Cumming

Shags’ Watchlist

Stephen Coniglio (Mid $608,000) is a gun and has been sorely missed in the GWS midfield this year. He just has had a terribly injury plagued season this year. Only playing 2 games this year for 115 and 82. But this is even more reason to keep an eye on him. He cold be that premium midfielder that finishes the season strong and is a POD for your team. With a BE of 134 definitely don’t pull the trigger this week. however he could be a sneaky last mid upgrade for you if he shows enough this week.

Shags’ Watchlist

Is this this week Harry McKay (Fwd $150,000) debuts? He’s made the Sunday extended bench, and there is a bit of hype about that which is usually an indication he will get a game. Im backing him in, but obviously check 5pm tomo before trading. There is a lot of fuss about McKay for a reason, he has been a goal kicking wizard for Northern Blues this year and was pick no. 10 for Blues in 2015. This could be the week.

  • Who to trade first?
    Newman or Greenwood??

    • Greenwood. Newman has been a solid contributor all year and is a lock in the Sydney team. People are forgetting that he has a 5 game ave of 91… for an F6 that is good!

Greenwood will average 60-70 for the rest of the year and might not find himself in their best 22 come end of the year. Just my opinion though

  • Are we looking at another Yonnut. If so goodbye Yeo, hello Steele.

  • I know its probably the wrong thread, but Thouy-doc or Nank-sidey?, I like the fact nank could go back to R2 if disaster happens, but cant see him in my team come finals.

    • Nank – Sidey! I’d feel pretty good doing that trade. I wouldn’t want to depend on Nank during finals. Tuohy will at least be a top 10 defender

      • cheers for the response, you actually have me leaning toward sidey now, and with the $$ saved, I may yet still get doc later (fingers crossed)

  • Best mid to get for Ablett?? Already have danger, titchell, rocky, Merrett, Kennedy, hanners, sidey.

Is gibbs worth getting over Kelly??

  • Glass or keath?

  • No bench cover across 3 positions worrys me.. (Thanks Ryan and Cox for getting on the piss) with the ‘general’ hitting this time of year too.

    Ryan- Glass
    Mountford- Selwood

Stuck with Stef, hopefully he can play his way out of his form slump.

  • Ryan – Deluca
Tuohy – Any mid under 620k
Thinking Treloar, J Selwood or Rocky

    • Murphy, Sidey (Then can throw him fwd eventually) or selwood for me. Don’t get on rocky until he produces something that is expected.

  • Treloar v Jelwood and 100k?

Treloar been in average form but feel he’s a 10 point better average prospect

    • I have Trelaor and hes been shit the last two weeks. Anyone help on what effect Pendles injury will have on his scores?

  • Kelly and dusty or Kelly and Blakley for Ablett and greenwood?

    • boy oh boy. I’d go Kelly and Dusty

      • Yeah I was thinking the same but will dusty struggle against GWS?? Either way blakley or dusty will be coming in next week

        • I think/hope dusty will be fine, gws aren’t in the best form and don’t tag often from what i’ve seen.

  • Connor Glass or Lewis Young through DPP? Replacing Eddy either way

  • Shoutout to Sheuy for coming in for me after his bye and averaging 85 over the last month after purchasing for 600+k

    Absolute disgusting – cya

    • 86 average for rocky over last 6 weeks for 723k hurt me :(

      • Same same on both fronts for me too, also managed to snag Treloar around the same time and then Zorko the week he decides to hide in the corner…

  • Bloody hell. Ryan and Cox out from my bench. Ruining all trades planned.
That means Ryan to Glass and Mountford to Jelwood. Witherden to M9 for cover for Danger

  • DEF: Docherty, Adams, Laird, Lloyd, Newnes, Witherden (Ryan, Smith)
MID: Mitchell, Danger, Merrett, Dusty, JPK, Treloar, Rocky, Mountford (Hibberd, Willis)
    RUC: Grundy, Stef (McInerney, Cameron)
FWD: Macrae, Heeney, Dahlhaus, Nank, Miller, Greenwood (Zurhaar, Polson)

    Got 168k in the bank.
    1st trade Stef > Darcy, leaving 326k.
For second trade do I go Hibberd/Willis > Joel Selwood (M8) Leaving 55k/48k
This brings mountford to M9, cover for danger, thoughts? cheers legends.

  • I am so stuck on trades, any help is much appreciated !! Must win league match to secure top 4 in my cash league.

DEF: Docherty, Adams, Laird, LLoyd, Witherden, Ryan* (Willis*, Nielson)
MID: Titch, Danger, Merrett, Treloar, JPK, Rocky, Hanners, Jelwood (Lloyd*, Hibberd*)
    RUC: Kreuzer, Darcy (Soldo, Cameron*)
FWD: Macrae, Heeney, Yeo, Menegola, Sheed, Dahlhaus (Eddy*, Pickett*)

Having 1K doesn’t make it any easier.

    Was thinking of something like this;
    Ryan – 150k Rookie
    Dahlhaus – Sidebottom

    • Could go Lloyd > Deluca or Glass, this will cover danger incase he’s a late out. You can field nielson at D6 for a week. Then go pickett > lewis young. This will leave you with 100k ish for next week.

    • Dahl to young and Ryan to blakely

  • Whitfield-titch or Newman-Kelly/Martin

  • Connor Glass or Josh Deluca? Need one of the two for bench cover in midfield

  • Getting in Sidey for Nank.
    Other trade not sure:

    Glass for Ainsworth?
L.Young for Roughhead? (means I’ll be playing JKH on field)

(should I keep Roughie for another week?)

  • Thoughts on these trades ?

Ryan – Duggan (D6) New role and a bit of cash to make.
    Lloyd – 150k Rookie

Would I be crazy in doing this ?

  • Why is adams I/C maybe omitted. What did I miss?

  • Ryan and Cox to be back next week?

  • Got some cash in the bank for a mid upgrade.
    Do I go:

    Mountford > Sidey
(to move to FWD in future) but have no Mid bench cover just this week (with Gaz out again)
Cousins > Wines (or another 580k mid) and keep mountford for bench cover and fattening up

    Thoughts appreciated

  • would it be mad to trade Stef to Rowan Marshall seeing as I have Darcy and need money?

  • 159k in bank and 2 trades this week, who do I do

Doc, laird, roberton, newnes, Newman, Stewart (nyhuis, Ryan)
Titch, danger, zerrett, dusty, Adams, rocky, treloar, witherden (deluca, hibberd)
    Martin, witts (2 x 150k rooks)
Yeo, Macrae, Heeney, menegola, Dahl, WHE (JKH, beech)

    Option 1
Stewart and beech out for jelwood and glass (start of week option)

    Option 2
Stewart and rocky out for Blakely and jack (Tuesday option)

    Option 3
Ryan and Stewart out for Blakely and glass (latest option)

    Option 4
    Is their any more

  • trade shaw or newman?

  • dusty, jelwood, duncan, gaff, jpk, murphy or jack steven, need to pick 2 to go out for ablett and greenwood, cheers for the help

    • dusty and murphy for me are the best but if you need cash get jelwood instead of one of them

    • Cant go past jelwood at his price. Murphy 2nd for me by a nose over Martin.

  • Hi Guys,

Thoughts on Danger and Ryan to Jelwood and Blakely?

If Danger plays mainly forward I cannot see him going massive again.

Ryan is currently D7- so this moves Witherden to D7 (if I hold Ryan then I will have no defence cover)

Other option is Greenwood (F7) to a 150ker and then Tuohy to Doc

  • Pendles to Murphy, Beams or Jelwood?

    • jelwood would be best, as there is potential with him and also cheap as chips and plays the crows who are his favorite team to play, please help above thanks

  • Dusty or Sidebottom?

  • Who to trade out between Nank and Steele?
Also bring in Jelwood for Pendles, allows me to bring in Kreuzer?

  • Ablett – what a fucken soft cock. Playing every second game is one more reason not to award pig status.

  • Rocky and Jeremy Cameron to sidey and jelwood or Jeremy Cameron and Parsons (Bench) to sidey and young (Bench)

  • Need help have a $200 bet on with a mate this round and hoping to give my best shot any advice on what my 2 trades should be

    Bank $7k

Def- Doc, Hurley, laird, Lloyd, newnes, Witherden (Ryan, J.Smith)
Mid- Titch, Danger, Merrett, Shuey, Zorko, JPK, Murphy, S Selwood (Miles, Cousins)
    Ruck- Kreuzer, Darcy (Pierce, Simpson)
Fwd- Heeney, Billings Macrae, Higgins, Greenwood, Menegola (Jkh, B.Cox)

Looking on the team line up, I am thinking of trading Billings to K.Jack and Scooter to Joel selwood, any other thoughts on trades that could get me the highest score I am open, cheers

  • Looking at the final weeks who would be best to bring in

  • trade newman or shaw?

  • Field JKH or L Young?

  • Ablett > Jelwood or Rocky
    Stef > Blakely

    Or should I hold Ablett?

  • Never thought i’d ask this..
    1. Rockliff and Dusty
    2. Beams and Dusty + 70K which will allow me to get Sidebottom for Greenwood in FWD after a rookie downgrade

  • Trading out Shaw or Newman? Its trading out Shaw -No brainer
    1. Sydney have a easier finish to the season
    2. Newman has youth ( i bought him in rd 2 for 175k)
    3. Sydney are the form team expecting a big finish
    4. Newman is more consistent

I am chasing Connor Blakely expecting him to become the No.2 defender

  • Sell Cox or Ryan?
