AFL Teams 2016: Round 22

Sunday extended benches in. Look for late changes in tonights game,

6:00pm Friday 19/08/2016

Sunday extended bench selections are in. The big news is Jimmy Bartel is out being managed. Jarrad Jansen, Archie Smith didn’t make the cut.

6:30pm Thursday 18/08/2016

Round 22 Teamsheets are in! DT Gods have mostly been kind this week. Sam Jacobs is back, at rookie bench cover Reilly O’Brien’s expense, and another ruck option Kurt Tippett (Ruck/Fwd) is back for Sydney (lessening Naismiths potential).
Biggest out is Taylor Adams with an ankle, and one or two may have had Chad Windgard as a POD, out with a hammie, and Matthew Suckling is out with an achilles injury again. A few new rookie priced options being played late in the season with Callum Moore (Fwd $125,000 AF $ 116,300 DT), Todd Elton (Def $125,000 AF $128,200 DT), Brayden Fiorini (Mid $166,000 AF $139,300 DT). and Josh Clayton (Def/Mid $125,000 AF $128,200 DT) confirmed to debut.

nicnat
Nic Naitanui (Ruck $404,000 AF be 84 $410,300 be 79 DT) comeback game last week was sensational, indeed match winning! That last snap alone makes him worthy of a watchlist nomination, and hes super cheap too boot. Could be a nice POD for a finals match up this week and cheap price might allow you to fix up other areas.

tip
Another big comeback very important for the Swans is Kurt Tippett (Ruck/Fwd $465,000 AF be 133 $476,800 be 129) as much on the watchlist for diminishing popular rookie ruck Naismiths point potential, could also be a good POD as his form before injury was very solid.

moore elton

Double up up this week with two rookies from the Tigers.
Debut for Callum Moore (Fwd $125,000 AF $ 116,300 DT) to give us a cheap forward option, and inclusion of Todd Elton (Def $125,000 AF $128,200 DT) to give us a cheap defender option. Do we know how well they will go this week and if they have good JS? Well it likely doesnt matter as you are likely trading them in solely for the cash to upgrade elsewhere.GWS Giants v Fremantle at Spotless Stadium (4.35pm)

neale
Found this a difficult match to choose for, so just going by the numbers Lachie Neale (Mid $526,000 be 105 AF $556,400 be 135 DT) with Freo as a whole having a poor season, he has held his own 8th best average in the league and somewhat a POD with only 13.28% ownership, low for his numbers, you wouldnt be questioned too much if you sideways a lower performaing mid premo or making a last upgrade to him.Collingwood v Gold Coast Suns at Etihad Stadium (7.25pm)

fiorini
Suns have decided to blood another youngster this week in Brayden Fiorini (Mid $166,000 AF $139,300 DT) who is a high draft pick at 20 (the sunds first pick that year) and classy outside midfielder by all reports. He is slightly more expensive then the other dirt cheap rookie options, but also the sort of rookie that has a high chance to bang out a decent score. Cashcows no longer relevant, but bench cover could be.Port Adelaide v Adelaide at Adelaide Oval (7.40pm)

laird
Rory Laird (Def $491,000 AF be 85 $518,100 be 87) has been incredibly consistent recently, 3 round average of 109.3, and cementing himself as a top 6 defender premium. If you need a last upgrade or want to sideways an under performer, and you don’t have Laird, he is a great option.Sunday August 21Carlton v Melbourne at MCG (1.10pm)

Dees are playing great footy at the moment, are still a slim chance for making finals so they will likely try to play out of their skins this week. Bernie Vince (Def/Mid $426,000 AF DT N/A) only relevant for AF, has had a few poor weeks in a row and hence is fairly cheap, he busted out a solid 110 last week and would be a prerade or sideways for say a Bartel.

A combination of cheap price, playing bombers this week and freo next week, scoring 112 and being a proven premium has put Luke Dahlhaus (Fwd $424,000 AF $434,400 DT) as a very popular pick up in your forward line if you need a last upgrade or move on an under performer.
