  • Smedts, Big O, Hargraves, and the most useless cash cow ever Guthrie, who gets a game every week, but only misses one for the Byes.

Almost glad I lost my Eliminator last week, cos would have lost this week.

    • baahahha exact same here. lost my eliminator last week by 1 point. would have been ashamed to go into eliminator with my team for this week.

and yes guthrie what are you doing. plays every week, except for the bye round. Brilliant really…

  • Def: deledio, goddard, Waters, Suckling, Duffield, Hargrave, Darley (Townsend, Shaw)
Mid: Ablett, Pendlebury, Watson, Mitchell, Ebert, Shiel (Williams, Jmac)
Ruck : Ryder, Giles (Redden Stephenson)
Fwd: Franklin, Beams, Sidebottom, Robbinson, Dangerfield, Martin, Zorko (porps, Hall)

Really confused at what to do at the moment.
Originally was going to do shiel to Swan and Hall to Chapman but now with all of the people I have out what should I do?
I think I will still get chapman but what about my defense?

  • 4 donuts for me this week for me this week. Unless Pendlebury, Big O or Townsend are late in’s who aren’t on the EMG list’s

  • Hargrave – Grimes this week
    Clarke – Carrazzo next week
To complete my defense. Good idea or not?

  • FAARRRRRK I have had this shit Redden Giles Hargraves Shaw Smedts Stephenson iam surprized Zorko got a game.. Iam looking at 9 donuts lol hahahahah lol Gee Whizzzzz whats a person to do FMDT

  • Lucky I planned for the bye rounds..

    • Yeah me too – and I have 3 donuts.

      Pendles, Hargrave, Stephenson.

Bringing my total for the MBRs to 8 – which is too damn many.

      Stupid game.

  • 11 trades $279,800 in the bank.

    Horse out Gibson in
    Jmac out Beams in
Stephenson out campbell ( for cash)

    thoughts..?

  • Ellis to Carrots
    Gravy to Suckling/Birch

    next week.

Team is then set with 8 trades to go

  • 2 trades this round:
    Treloar to Swan
Hargraves to Grima. Somethings really up with Hargraves if he’s had 3 shit games, has the bye, has the week off then is the emergency……

  • Anybody care to hazard a guess as to what par will be this week? I’m predicted for 1837…..which admittedly tends to mean bugger all in the normal rounds but predictions have been more accurate over the BYE rounds

    • A lot of people are going to get a lot of donuts. Should result in a lower par than last week.

  • Def: Goddard, Delidio, Heppell, Birchall, Waters, Hargrave, Ellis (Bootsma, Darley)

Mid: Pendles, Boyd, Ablett, Thompson, Mitchell, Swan (Shiel, Zorko)

    Ruc: Goldstein, Giles (Stephenson,Redden)

Fwd: Sidey, Buddy, Robinson, Zaharakis, Martin, Sexton, Dangerfield (Hall, Trealor)

45,000 in the bank 8 trades left

I was looking at getting in Beams, Carrots and Cox as my last upgrades and leave the team as is with 3 trades left.
I have to keep Hargrave and Zaha on the back of other injuries this year.
    Thoughts??

  • Hargraves you are a weak prick…..Very very soon Carrazzo in ( round 15), Hargraves gonesky for ever….

  • gonna be wet at mcg???

might be safe for an ethiad captain in boyd!!!!

  • If you had to pick one, who will it be?

    Kade Simpson (CARL) $406,300
    Callan Ward (GWS) $412,000
    Matt Priddis (WCE) $411,600

    Who would you pick???

  • I reckon this has finally confirmed it for me that planning for byes is a massive waste of time!
Better to just aim for the best team you can, as quick as you can and just roll with the punches when they come.

  • Thoughts on N.Grima?

  • OK guys – if you had a gun to your head and had to choose between M. Johnson and J Grimes who would you choose?

  • My fwds are

Beams, Sidebottom, danger, chapman, Franklin, whitecross, zorko,(sexton, peifer)

Is it worth uprading peiffer this week and have zorko on bench the rest of season

or leave it cop a conut and keep zorko as a F7 for the season saving me a trade?

    l

    • If you absolutely need to win your league this week, then you’ll need to upgrade 5fer. But if you don’t need to win, or will win without trading, then save the trade. Most are planning on using Zorko as F7, at least for the next few weeks.

  • If I decide to just go for the league win, and my league is pretty crap, I should just conserve trades right.

    I have $325900 and 9 trades left.

Only need 1 mid premo and 1 def premo to “complete” my team, (will need 1 more downgrade)

But I cant help but feel 6 trades to sit on for half the season is far too risky. My team is already far more advanced than my closest competitor, so surely the best strategy for a league win is to sit, play zorko as my 5th Mid, and Porps as my last fwd. Make one upgrade, the shithouse Guthrie to Carrots to make my Def ok (except for carrying Graves, but I was going to do that anyway).

Is 6 trades left enough for half the season too risky?

I’m out of Elim, and just above 4000 in total standings so I reckon out for overall.

    • Save your trades for when someone irresistible comes along, like carrots in 2 weeks time. 6 trades is just enough as long as you don’t get hit by a large number of injuries.

      • I was going to get Beams in my centre. Also I have Horse to trade out. If I hold my trades I can get carrots in and keep 8 trades for rest of year.

So I could use 1 trade and get Carrots in a couple of weeks, leaving me with 8 trades.

or 3 trades and get Beams/Watson/Stanton in now and then Carrots in. leaving me with 6 trades.

        I’m leaning to option 1.

        • I agree it’s tempting to get Beams in this week. In fact, I am making this trade, but I need to in order to win my league match. If you’re going to win without Beams, then wait until later in the season, and then you can always bring Beams in then, if you have spare trades up your sleeve.

          • You have convinced me ;)

My league match has only 5 players on the field this week.

hes a Hawthorn fan who doesnt know much about dreamteam lol

I can win without beams ;)

  • What are people’s thoughts on Nathan Grima?

    • Just saw someone asked the same question

    • Has injury history. And does pump out low scores when given lockdown roles, but could be a good POD when the roos decide to chip it around

  • Crozier or Dell’olio?

    • Neither mate, unless you really really need to downgrade, they’re both as dodgy as each other.

      • I really need to downgrade to get in Sidebottom if u can believe I havent had him all year… in that case which one?

        • In that case Crozier, because he’s named on the field this week, and Dell’olio is named on the last bench position (possible sub), and Freo have a couple more injury concerns which might see Crozier get one or two more games than Dell’olio.

    I have $514k

    • You have to think about what will be best for your team in the long run. Next week, Duffield and Hargrave will probably be back. So I’d probably take the donuts this week.

I wouldn’t go Hall to Chapman this week, unless you really need to win your league. Chapman’s price isn’t going up, and you already have a strong FWD line already. I’d work on your MID and BAC, which are your weakest areas. Shiel to Swan is good, and then in 2 weeks time, hargrave/darley to carrots would also be good.

  • Def: Goddard, Delidio, Broughton, Waters, Adcock, Hargrave, Ellis [Darley, Shaw]

Mid: Ablett, Stanton, Boyd, Pendlebury, Rockliff, Zorko [McDonald, Williams]

    Ruc: Cox, Giles [Redden, Stephenson]

Fwd: Beams, Sidebottom, Franklin, Robinson, Zaharakis, Martin, Dickson [Smith, Treloar]

$360,000 in the bank, 11 trades left. Sitting 1st/2nd in all 5 of my leagues, ranked ~5000 overall.

    – Keeping Pendlebury
    – Think I’m going to keep Zaha but this one is doing my head in! Tough to get an injury update on him.
    – Need 3 more premiums to finish team, 1 each in DEF, MID and FWD. Giles might be an upgrade target too. Reverse trade button is getting a massive work out!

    Latest thinking is:
    – sub Zorko to FWD, Treloar to MID
    – downgrade Treloar to Gibson for the cash (1st trade, lose my DPP link)
    – upgrade McDonald to Swan (2nd trade, mids finished)
    – upgrade Smith to Chapman (3rd trade, forwards finished)

Leaves $86k and 8 trades. I want Carrazzo in my DEF in two weeks time which will probably cost two trades to upgrade Ellis.

Would leave a finished team (once everyone is back from injury) with 6 trades left and Giles still on the ground.

If anyone made the effort to read all that would please love an opinion!

    • Mate, I reckon I’d go Zorko to FWD and Smith to MID, then trade Smith to Gibson for cash, then upgrade McDonald to Swan, and sit on the cash. Chapmanls price isn’t going up this week, and then you can make the decision about Chapman or Carrots in a couple weeks time. I’m holding Treloar because I think he’ll recover this week.

      • Cheers mate, I actually don’t mind that thinking now I’ve had a play with those trades.

BUT, I am wary of Treloar’s impending price drop this week which could be significant.

  • Thoughts on Grima peeps?? Was going to get M.Johnson but would love the extra $$$.

Been racking up the possessions in a shit team. Think I might get him in.

Also Hargreve will be back. I’m keeping him.

    • Johnson is definitely the safer bet, depends how desperate you are for the cash.

    • He’s really only racked it up the last 2 weeks. He’s already priced at a 73 average – how much more do you think he’ll score on average until the end of the year? I doubt much more. On the other hand, MJ has proven to average in the high 90’s, but there is a question mark on his durability.

      • Fair enough then.

Who is best value for money.

        Waters
        M. Johnson
        Adcock
        Grima
        Hepple

  • Trade in Beams or Stanton?

    • Tough, I have both but Beams is currently in better DT form. If it’s purely the difference between a win or loss this week then go Beams.

    • Beams is more consistent, and shouldn’t get tagged out of the game like Stanton can.

    • yea true im still abit suss on stants so far its beams for me

  • Current backs: Delidio, Goddard, Adcock, Clarke, Hargrave, Bugg, Darley, Morris, S.Shaw.

    $260,000 and 11 trades left.

Shall I bring in Waters or MJ or Heppell this week?

    • Waters definitely! If you can do Morris to Waters, that would improve your team massively.

    • Waters easy! Averages 94.5 with an average of 105.67 in his last 3

  • Worth getting Tom Campbell in for Stephenson/Redden? If so which one? Roy reckons he’ll play abit. Only reason I’m contemplating is cause I’m copping a donut cause stephenson isn’t playing. Also downgrade cash of like 100k is pretty handy.

Although JS abit shaky, Ayce Cordy and Minson are probably better, not 100% sure….

    Thoughts?

  • I wanna downgrade Trelor to a FWD only (Want to keep my MID FWD link so can’t bring in Gibson)

Whats a better option – I don’t care about copping the donut – more looking to win my league GF! Im currently sitting on top of league undefeated.

    Trelor – Crozier
    Trelor – Couch

I have a gut feeling come finals Couch may be the better option – as surely he will be playing by then!!

    9 trades – 90k

FWD I have Sidebottom, Chaps, Dangerfield, Martin, Buddy, Pearce & Milera/Adams/Trelor

MID are: Boyd Thompson Swan Pendles Cotchin Abblett Marly Williams/Zorko/

ill probably swap ZORKO & ADAMS and play Zorko as my final forward for now.

    THX!!

    • i am choosing crozier because whoever i bring in this week with a downgrade is going to need to play this week and then warm my bench for the rest of the season.

  • my midfield is ablett, boyd, swan, mitchell shuold i get thompson and priddis or sidebottom and pavlich any suggestions? my forward line is martin, chapman, robinson, beams, franklin, and zaharakis who i am trading out as well as d smith in my midfield

  • This is my team just about completed..

DEF: Delidio, Goddard, Waters, Birchell, Hargrave, Darley, Sam Shaw, Townsend, Spurr

MID: Swan, Ablett, Stanton, Boyd, Thompson, Jmac, Horse, Sexton

    RUCK: Cox, Giles, Redden, Stephenson

FWD: Franklin, Sidebottom, Robinson, Dangerfield, Martin, Cloke, Zorko, Pfierrier, Black

i have 11 trades left with $279,800 in the bank.

    Trade options i thought of..
    Option 1
    Horse out Gibson in
    Jmac out Beams in

    Or

    Option 2:
    Horse out Gibson in
    Pfierrier out Dell’Olio in ( thoughts on Cory Dell’Olio ..? )
    Jmac out Beams in

If i do option 2 i will have 8 trades left and $395,00 in the bank
If i do option 1 i will have 9 trades left and about $256,000 in the bank

    Thoughts…?
