Just wondering Warnie, where is ur league ranked?
League ranking sucks (if you looked at the scores of some of our dudes in the +4 post, you’ll see why!). We’re ranked 254th.
However, I am in the league ranked 5th overall (I’m 3rd last on total points in that – sorry boys) and also our cash league is 97th.

My league is 16 overall and we average 2088

my leagues are ranked like 10000 and shit and next year i wanna be in a proper league ranked something like top 200
My league ranked 16 overall began with mates 9 years ago…
About 5 years ago we introduced a relegation system to help get rid of mates that quit coaching their teams half way through. Each year we’ve improved and now all 16 are trying with the relegation fight reaching all time highs!
Its the perfect way to improve your league!
we also have a second league where the winner moves up to the A league. Thats 107 overall..
That next year will become the cash league too!
yeah unfortunately i dont have 15 mates that are good at dt lol, and all of my leagues get dragged down by 1 or 2 massive spuds

ROY i feel sorry for you mate. i thought kade simpson looked like the best pick aswell. but everytime i trade someone in they play bad so it was kind of expected.

Speaking of which, thanks for the chat before the show on Thursday night Warney- your advice on Chappy with his DPP eligibility hit the spot for me (even if I did miss out on Boyd’s massive 142!). Will give me options in the future if Chappy’s hamstrings decide to twang, but just as long as its not in the next couple of weeks with Barry Hall missing a couple and Brown dog coming back/not coming back/who knows!

Interesting injury news this week. Brown and Maguire could both be coming back in (test). Not liking Goddard’s TBC on his illness. Hopefully he will pull up.
Goddard is instantly in the saints side: In the mix afl round 16.
Diddys quick goal scoring spell on the weekend was excellent! Usually they get a spell on the sideline if they kick a goal, but, diddy was left out there. He was on fire and a few more goals came from him in quick succession! I have always questioned this. IMO when your hot your hot!!! Why do coaches take them off when players kick a goal? What are the benefits?

Maguire, Ladson (defence cover both likely to not play)
Sam Mitchell, with Davis and Gysberts as cover (all a chance to not play)
Hille in ruck with Lobbe and Warnock as cover
Hall, Brown with fyfe and playfair as cover
I have THREE trades left lol and no cash in bank
obviously the rest of my team are all healthy and SHOULD play out the rest of the year
Carazzo looks good and so dose riewoldt in a couple weeks

Slighty stuffed mate, by that i mean not much you can do with only 3 trades as you will probably need them for LTI’s.
Brown and Maguire chance this week but personally not expecting them to make trip as the game is in Tassie.
Mitchell will rest another week cause they play Lions and can/will win without him (Boyd had pretty much same thing and had 2 weeks out).
Fyfe and Leon Davis should be back.
Any thing is possible with Warnock and Lobbe given the poor efforts of Port and the Blues recently.
But in 2 or 3 weeks you could have most of them back and ready for DT finals and thats when it matters.

Hope i’m wrong re Brown and Mitchell mate, i have both but fortunately have cover. Also I’m welcoming back Waite……………would be nice to have a full strength side.
Nice.. I have been planning to get Waite in now for 3 weeks.. back from suspension and i am trading out medhurst for Waite as I have some cash banked. He will then be a DPP for me interchanging with Phil Davis DEF/FWD. He will strengthen my backs and give me some room to cover when players r rested during finals!

Think he is good chance to play all remaining games as he said the other week, being suspended twice this year has really let the team down.

Too true!! I went to trade him in the week he got suspended last, but was 2k short! S didnt get him in. Made no difference though as Medhurst ( who I was trading) has been in VFL.. Looking fwd though to get Waitey in my team!
Good call from blue boys! IMO Save your trades if you will make top 8 in your league too.. Otherwise I suppose you would have to trade as best you can to get into final 8 in your league

Alright, im toying with the following idea. Is this suicide?
FYI – Currently ranked 380th, 1st in my league 1 game clear. 5 trades remaining.
Im thinking of trading Webberley to Smith which will make me 106k, i then have 40k in the bank so all up i will have 146k. I understand smith might not have huge security but my 8th back is phil davis to supply cover.
Then with that money i upgrade hitchcock to goodes. Given goodes new role for most likely the rest of the season i want him and want him bad!!!! His price will soon skyrocket
That will then make my forward line; Chapman, O’Keefe, Buddy, Gia, Higgins, Pods, Goodes, Rockliffe.
Meaning i get to decide who will be my 7th forward each week.
The rest of my team is set and it will leave me 3 trades for finals.
Thoughts? Or should i wait 2 weeks for riewoldt and just dot he same thing with him?

Tough one but i think you should hold Webberley.
Trading would give you great options up forward but not sure it will gain you many points unless someone gets injured in forwards.
Also think Davis as 8th fwd is not real good cover, where as Web has ability to score well (as long as he keeps playing, on last weeks form he should). Still $$$ to be made in him too!!!
Waiting another 2 weeks and you will know if any further injuries to your side. If you double trade this week, you are down to 3 and in some danger if injuries hit.
Like you say waiting 2 weeks and Riewoldt will be ready for not much more (which will be covered by increase in Webs price). Pav is another option if needed, not likely to change much next week.

No worries mate. I have put some thought into those type trades recently. I have Webberley (8th def) and Davis (9th fwd/def) and similar fwd set-up with Rocky and Pods.
7 trades for me but still holding off.
Hoping to get Ablett next week, will finish my side…………..up until finals at least!!!!!

Goodes is a no brainer at that price and I agree he’s going to pump out some big scores and if you don’t get him now will be too late.
