Hawks having the early bye make them a tricky team, especially as there will be no rookies coming through for them that are of much interest. Will Day is a buzz name to keep an eye on as he has 20 points upside. James Sicily named on the wing is interesting. He’s a big watch as he was in defence last week, but with the injuries to some key forwards, he may have to spend time up there.

Of course we are checking out our boy Ryley Sanders. With Libba and Bont back in, he will get plenty of midfield clock while Ed Richards (calf) and Adam Treloar (calf) are on the sidelines. The latter will miss a few weeks while Richards is still a chance for round one. Marcus Bontempelli is having a great pre-season and offers value. He may not have much FWD time with the two other mids out. Joel Freijah racked up in praccy game and should do the same in the absence of Dale. The cash cow that matters here is basement priced Sam Davidson.
