Hard to understand the shade thrown at Short, and not just from Roy.
A proven top tier defender with a clear 10ppg value, and a history of being able to score well even when not on ball, which is a big positive, especially when considering Richmond’s slide and the likelihood of the ball being in their backline more than other lines.
And all that without getting into a discussion about paying a few hundred K extra in order to not have to deal with the nightmare that has been D5-8 defenders like everyone else.
Calling Short a terrible pick is itself a terrible call. There’s more to the game than Vanilla Cookies.
