Port Adelaide averaged 395.1 Disposals in 2019 (Rank 2) recording 400 Disposals or more in a total of 10 games (Rank 2), the Power averaged 411.4 Disposals from winning games & 378.9 Disposals from losing games.
There was a shift in game style controlling the ball more often last season, Port Adelaide averaged 375.5 Disposals in 2018 (Rank 10).
Port Adelaide played several high draft picks in 2019, the direction to play talented youth was very evident last season and could very well be the plan again in 2020.

2020 Potential Targets:
Dan Houston DEF/MID $596K
Ken Hinkley made the move last season playing Houston through the midfield, he averaged 80.3pts in 2019 which included an average of 103.2pts from his final 5 games.
If the midfield usage is forecast to be high for Houston in 2020 then he should be a decent consideration as a starting defender at Round 1, the Power have a good depth of players that can play through the midfield which could limit the opportunities over a full season for Houston.
Scott Lycett RUCK $619K
The Ruck situation at Port Adelaide was a mess last season, Lycett wasn’t preferred late in the season due to the log jam of Paddy Ryder & Peter Ladhams.
With the departure of Ryder the Ruck situation becomes a touch clearer for Lycett in 2020, the threat of Ladhams sharing ruck duties is still real and must be considered prior to Round 1.
Lycett averaged 101.3pts from his final 7 games of 2019, he represents significant value if Hinkley decides to use him as solo Ruck.

Travis Boak MID $784k
The midfield usage for Boak increased significantly last season and as a result of the change his average did so as well, after averaging 87.3pts in 2018 playing a split midfield/forward role Boak increased his average to 105.7pts in 2019 playing as a pure mid.
Boak averaged 112.9pts between Rounds 1-15 in 2019, he was a late withdrawal in Round 16 (Back) and returned in Round 17 to average 91.3pts for the remaining 7 games of the season.
The price tag & MID only status will deter quite a few from selecting Boak at Round 1 this season, if his midfield usage remains high his average will likely remain quite stable.
