Round 14, the last of the multi-bye rounds and thank goodness for that. The last couple of weeks have dished out some real curveballs for coaches to deal with; thankfully this week appears to be much smoother sailing for the fantasy community. Slight hiccups for the week include the injury blow to Jack Macrae which sees him sidelined for 3-4 weeks and the omission of rookie Charlie Spargo; let’s crack into all the key INs and OUTs for the week!
INs
Captaining our list of INs this week is Giants on-baller Stephen Coniglio, who returns following a concussion suffered before his bye. Joining him in this week for the Giants is forgotten rookie sensation Jeremy Finlayson, who delivered some handy cash to coaches throughout the earlier parts of this season. The Dees have opted to recall tall forward Tim Smith for their clash with the Power on Friday night. Smith has a break even of only 3, paired with a three-game average just shy of 80 points, leaving him primed to increase his value from his current $323,000 price tag. Making his debut this week is Suns rookie Jacob Dawson, whilst Pies midfielder Brayden Sier has been named on Collingwood’s extended bench for Sundays clash with Carlton.
OUTs
Leading the OUTs this week is none other than Jack Macrae, who is set to miss between three and four weeks with a grade one hamstring tear. This comes at a shocking time for many, with coaches jumping on board the high scoring midfielder following his bye, only to cop a 44 and a forced trade, cheers Jack… Breakout rookie Charlie Spargo has been dropped by the Dees this week, as has tall forward Cam Pedersen. Rory Lobb will miss this week through injury, as will luckless Pies winger Daniel Wells and Suns rookie Jack Bowes.
As aforementioned, this is the last of our multi-bye rounds for the 2018 season, meaning we’ll be back to best 22 on field and nine games of footy next weekend! Goodluck fielding a strong 18 as the Crows, Dockers, Cats, Tigers, Saints, and Swans enjoy their week off. Send through any questions in the forum below, or you can contact me on twitter @JelmsDT
