AFL Teams 2016: Round 6

No Late changes to tonights game. Lockout at 7:50pm. Good luck!

No Late changes to tonights game. Lockout at 7:50pm. Good luck!

Sunday extended benches are in. Craig Bird (Mid/Fwd.) is out with a quad injury. We get a look at Jonathan Simpkin (Fwd/Mid) and James Polkinghorne (Mid. $226,000 AF $130,400 DT) at the Dons.

NEW UPDATE: Taylor Adams (Mid.) is a late withdrawal with a knee injury.

Teams are in ! Rookies galore on the ins with known debuts Petracca, Keays and Aliir, and now also other rookie inclusions Connor Blakely (Mid. $137,000 AF $157,700 DT), Kieran Lovell (Mid. $163,000 AF $130,300 DT) and return of Jade Gresham (Mid. $201,000, 20 be AF. $148,300, -15 be DT), Dougal Howard (Fwd. $135,000, 8 be AF. $128,200 DT). As confirmed Brett Deledio (Fwd.) is back, and with Fyfe out, Freo needed the David Mundy (Mid.) is back.

Those who pulled the trigger on Tom Lee (Def) last week will be disappointed he is omitted. Annoyingly another def rookie Tom Ruggles (Def) is being managed.

No truth to the rumour of Lachie Neale (Mid) being out. Yet. Put him on your late withdrawal possibility list as he is battling calf and thigh soreness. Added to Gaz who is already a concern with his injury last week, and also Montagna with his Hamstring.

Round 6 Teams to be named at ~6:15pm tonight. Some early ins and and outs already, with many debuts. Christian Petracca (Fwd/Mid. $238,000, AF. $128,200 DT) set to make his long anticipated debut. Aliir Aliir (Def. $125,000 AF $128,200 DT) to debut for Sydney to much fanfare.  Ben Keays (Mid. $176,000, 32 be AF. $121,300 DT)  who has been ripping it up in the seconds also gets to finally debut. McKenzie Willis (Fwd/Mid. $125,000 AF $121,300 DT) hot off the press just announced to debut for the suns.
Brett Deledio (Fwd.) Looks an almost certain in, but early reports are that Robbie Gray (Fwd/Mid AF Mid DT) and Lachie Neale (Mid) could be an out. We already knew Suckling and Fyfe out unfortunately due to long term injuries.

Sunday game, but calling this one early. Confirmed to debut this week is Ben Keays (Mid. $176,000, 32 be AF. $121,300 DT)  is another anticipated debuttant. The kid has been smashing it up in the seconds, and surprising he hasn’t played earlier with the lions outs.

simmo
Kade Simpson (Def. AF $483,000 RDT $482,000 AF) been doing his thing, averaging well above 100 if not for his 1 spud game of 57 against the suns. He could rip it up against Bombers this week, and is a worthy contender for top 6 defender (especially in RDT).

sidey
Steele Sidebottom (Mid. $570,000 be 77 AF $ 603,600 be 68 DT) had the ANZAC medal lined up after the first half last week, and he smashed it. with a low BE this week, he looks like he could be an Uber premium this year. I’d have him short listed for pig contention. He doesnt play Dons every week however.

boyd
No new rookies to trade in, so making one of my all time favourite DT royalty Matthew Boyd (Def. $521,000 be 96 AF $549,800 be 104 DT ). He is the absolute epitome of consistent getting 92 four weeks in a row followed by a 108. Main reason people didnt start was his price, now he has dropped to about what he is averaging no reason not to upgrade your defence. Surely he is a top 6 defender in AF, and certainty in RDT.

pet
Do you get any more hype player than Christian Petracca (Fwd/Mid. $238,000, AF. $128,200 DT). Arriving just in time for culling some of our cash cows. Comes at a steep price for a rookie, but his JS is good, and he could well live up to the hype.

barlow
Well, havent the tables turned with a huge 138 last week. Is he back? Michael Barlow (Fwd/Mid. $475,000 AF be 61 $ 508,800 DT be 68) With Fyfe out, and Injury affected Mundy and Neale, surely he will gets lots of mid time, and he is cheap with a low BE. If you want to take the punt that he is back to his best, this is the week.

P.S. Keep an eye on Connor Blakely (Mid. $137,000 AF $157,700 DT) making his debut.

lov
Some young hawks fan was telling me that Kieran Lovell (Mid. $163,000 AF $130,300 DT) was a gun and was smashing it in the seconds. Looked it up, he kicked 5 goals last week for box hill hawks! This is the hawks, so his JS is a bit iffy. At the very least chuck him on your watch list.

how
Dougal Howard (Fwd. $135,000, 8 be AF. $128,200 DT) wasn’t that impressive in his first game a few weeks ago with a 46. Then again he wasn’t playing as ports main ruck! Obviously had enough of Lobbe as the main ruck, they are giving the rookie an initiation of fire. Maybe seeing how he can go against out of form Ivan Maric this week. A handy fwd/ruck status could be on the cards if he can hold this spot.

Jelwood
I think it is fair to say that Joel Selwood (Mid. $515,000 be 66 $ 555,500 be 76) is DT Royalty, since he often has injury affected low scores, always seems to find himself as a fallen premium at some stage, and he is underpriced for what he can potentially output. And what he can output is 134 like last week. If you think he is top 8 midfield material and like his value, this is the week to snaffle with his low BE.

A windy cold day in 2015, I was bored, sick with the flu, and decided to start a blog about Teamsheets. I was immediately recruited by Warnie and somehow am now a DTTALK author. NOTE; Im Back in 2022! woooo Twitter @shagbags2023 ~REMEMBER: Friends don't let friends DT TEAMS become ghost ships.
