Why should I pick him?

When at his best, Gibbs has proven he can match it with the Fantasy elite, twice averaging 107 during his nine year career and reaching triple figures on three occasions.

Gibbs is massively under-priced after falling victim to Mick Malthouse’s real life version of Space Jam where he played himself as a Monstar and sucked all the ability out of the Blues best players, leaving former stars of the game looking so lost you would swear they have never played the game before.

This resulted in Gibbs dropping his average by 20 points per game from the previous season as Micks stranglehold  tightened.

Despite only playing ten games last year, Gibbs has been an extremely durable player over his career, including six years where he has not missed a game.

From all reports, he has enjoyed the fresh start and pre Christmas program driven by new couch Brendan Bolton and he will flourish in the new improved environment.

Why shouldn’t I pick him?

I would be lying if I didn’t admit there was some concern over Gibbs playing the lowest number of games for a season last year, as well as recording the second lowest average of his career, falling well behind all but his debut season.

Although I am excited by what a change of coaching staff will do for his role and ability to recapture his best form, there is no guarantee that Bolton has Gibb’s Fantasy scoring at the forefront of his thoughts and priorities.

He has a man bun and wears long sleeves sometimes.

KING – I don’t throw terms like ’My Boy’ around very often, and Gibbs was my original (Before unfaithfully disowning him under the Malthouse regime following the growth of his ponytail). I am 100% committed to jumping back on this season and I have complete faith his ability will return (as it did for Charles Barkley) and he will cut his hair.

It’s a real ‘bite the index finger moment’ for me… welcome back Gibbsy.
