1. Luke Davies-Uniacke (MID, $920,000) could be the under-priced option for our midfield if you’re looking to find that 90-guy (88 to be exact) to take it to 100. Can he make this happen? Surely at some point it does for the 26-year-old. Will Sheezel get the attention that LDU has copped in the past which is his biggest flag? He scored 124 (34d, 6m, 6t).
2. Tom Blamires (MID, $230,000) only made it onto North’s list last Wednesday via SSP. In five days, he has become their 5th highest scorer in a game with 92 points. Taking 6 marks to go with his 24 touches, the 23-year-old came from Frankston where he won the Fothergill-Round-Mitchell Medal. Geez… can North pick him for us? Would be a gift for M10!
3. Lachy Dovaston (FWD, $290,000) might be a bench forward for us as it is a position that is looking light on for cash cows. His scoring will be sporadic, but it was impressive to see him lay 6 tackles and boot three goals for 81 points.
1. If you put a team on the park like this.
2. There isn’t much we can read into it.
3. You lost to North Melbourne. Bring on Opening Round Cheat Code.
1. Josh Lindsay (DEF, $278,000) just locked himself in our teams at D6. His 76 was the third best for the Eagles. It was built by 22 disposals, 5 marks and a goal. He’ll be playing round one.
2. Deven Robertson (MID/FWD, $232,000) was shaky early but finished on 73. Quarter splits of 7, 13, 14 and 39 wasn’t pretty viewing/reading, but knowing that he was the most used Eagles at CBAs with 80% is a big tick along the way.
3. Willem Duursma (MID, $350,000) is going to need to be in our squads and we’ll have to wear it on the bench. He managed 67 points from 15d, 4m, 3t. He missed a couple of snags, so not a bad effort really. We can take that if he’s doing that week-to-week (but will he??!!).
1. Zak Butters (MID, $1,047,000) was always going to be in our teams, but now every man and his dog will be on. He’s not getting a free ride… think about that opening run of Roos, Dons and then he gets Eagles again before Tigers and Saints. Could we see another 152 or two in there?
2. Connor Rozee (DEF/MID, $1,092,000) played majority of his time through the midfield as he hit 80% of Port’s CBAs as he racked 33d, 9m, 8t and 149. Does it matter where he plays? Not really… lock and load.
3. Todd Marshall (FWD, $394,000) is playing down back. He took 10 marks, 5 were intercepts, on his way to 82. Hmmm…
