I just hate the idea that AFL Fantasy doesn’t start when the season starts. I’ve been playing fantasy for 15 seasons, and enjoyed it immensely, especially after I got moderately good at it. It just adds so much to watching a game of AFL. But it’s time to move on from AFL Fantasy. Supercoach is apparently playing Round 0, best 10 scores count. I like that way more than just skipping Round 0, so I’m switching to Supercoach this year. Best of luck to those who stick with AFL Fantasy.

Warnie, every year I look forward to participating in the fantasy survey and there is one suggestion I put forward each year.
I would love to see a cap on the number of players we can pick from each team. This would help to keep our teams a bit more unique. Four selections from each team would be reasonable.

Wouldn’t that just make it even more similar as the best options from each team are pretty similar?
I don’t think putting limits on how many players you can pick from a team would have the intended outcomes or actually make a difference in uniqueness of teams. To be honest, it would nearly work the opposite way…

Yep, so is a game based on making a pretend team of your own based on some stats and other made up rules.
My view is that the truly ridiculous thing in all of this is the AFL deciding doing the draw like this is somehow sane let alone q good thing for the competition.

So are eight rounds of byes, but you know, we have to deal with it in some way that doesn’t completely ruin the experience of the game without shooting ourselves in the footy for sponsors and those very simple KPIs of getting as many bums on seats as we can!

after 20 years of fantasy football this year could be first to have a rest total balls up
Imagine playing 20 years of Fantasy Footy and throwing it in because of a challenge. If you played through 2020, this is a walk in the park.
