Another week, another injury to a key player. This week is my M1 Skipper. Hard to pick up rookies for cash gen, or trade out failing value picks which you’re burning a trade a week to replace key injuries.

So, Steele needs to go. Bruhn and Flanders up forward aren’t doing much, but they’re not going backwards, so I can afford to give them more time. Goldy was the best I could get to last week after Xerri, but after watching him on the weekend, blowing like a tomato faced god of wind, he’s just not up to it any more. Just going to bite the bullet and wipe the slate clean. It’s a new season for me now.

Watching Ziebell take kickouts for North last week, and with the chippy chippy gamestyle they play, I think I’m going to bring him in via a DPP shuflle into the mids, and call him the Gobbledock. Haven’t watched the pod yet, but I reckon I’ll hear Calvin pulling this one out for sure. As for Goldy’s replacement, I’d love to just settle on a Set n Forget structure with RoMo and English, but seeing how half the comp has English, and being a fair way back on the comp at this stage, I’m going to have to take that counterlogical POD path to try and claw some ranks bank by taking ROB. He’s perfectly reliable at R2, gives me a great sideways/downgrade option to Gawn in a month or two when he’s back and dropped huge coin.

In the mean time, having that 250k left over will give me the ability to hopefully, injuries permitting, jump on whatever scraps are left over next week in the cash gen market, which is possibly going to be problematic given the shit scores by many of our rook picks.

Looking forward to giving the podcast a listen.

You and me both kitty, it’s a frustrating game with the difference between success and failure being decided largely on luck rather than bad decisions, seriously it’s about 10% skill tops then the rest is dumb luck.

I have 22 of the same players as the top team and my PODs from them are not bad either yet thanks to 2 premo injuries, 2 sub 100pt captain scores (one of them injury related too) and a few wrong on field rooks I’m already close to 600 points behind and basically at season over status ranked near 40k.

The worst part is my team looks good and I can’t see a way to do anything to rectify the ranking, I’ve got the rooks and will make plenty of cash for upgrades, should be full premo by around byes, my only hope is that the many teams above me get some bad luck that I dodge and I can claw back to top 5k, I feel that is my realistic best case.

Haha, Roy went to Darcy after the Xerri Bomb, when he had the cash to go up to English? RIP. Seriously though, you made a great play by giving yourself the cash to take your pick with your mid r1 selections, and then instead of chosing English, chosing life, you chose pain. Lolz.

Glad to hear I’m not the only person suffering alone on the Xerri pain train. You and me Roy, we go down together!

No, get in Callum Mills, Chad Warner is now beginning to get less cba’s and according to the sydeney coach, they don’t need chad Warner in the midfield as much anymore, and now this means Callum Mills is coming into the mid. We know he has the ceiling to, and with this job security, it is a must have pod in my opinion as last round he played majority midfield time and got a score of 109 in his first game back in the mid.

Giving everyone good advice is that right. For a start you guys told everyone not to pick D Cameron LOL. Last week you told everyone be careful N Daicos isn’t going to score well. You telling everyone to jump off the Dog Players in the mids. I’ll bet you MaCrae has a solid score this weekend. I’m keeping him LOL and that’s after 2 games LOL. Then Calvin tells everyone who is after a Ruckman to grab Grundy. Then Warnie argues its the wrong thing to do. Warnie your right as later in the year people might have other issue’s and if they follow Captain Blight they lose. Again What about he was saying and meant it. He was saying Trade out Laird LOL and I beat most kids who follow him Traded out Laird. No wonder these kids don’t win. Not only that LOL but he told everyone who had J Hunt last week “Trade Hunt out. (86) They went on about C Daniel getting time in the Midfield and didn’t know anything about it. Guess what I brought C Daniel into my side last week because I read somewhere that the Doggies will be playing Daniel more through the Midfield this year and I’m no expert. LOL. And the only Sauces I get are Tomato. I think it s about time you guys stop lying to these kids. TRY HARDS

Getting Ziebell & Setters in for Macrae & JHF. Gives me cash leftover, feel good about myself with these trades as it gives me +$100k and a similar output from two players.
