McKenna is a wait and see if his named. Ridley at times in the past has been used as a close checking player, when freed up he can be good. Not sure how Scott plans to use him. Hopper won’t be a keeper so he needs to be able to make over $100k cash. Going on his highest average is in the low 90’s and that is when he attended bulk CBA’s at the Giants, I don’t think his worth the selection.

Geelong had the lowest pts.for out of every team in the practice matches
They were also SMASHED. That’s very interesting considering they were premiers last year
I don’t really see someone like Tom Stewart generating much – if any – value. Maybe I’m wrong

Other than that. Good team. I also want you to know I have Will Day on my team lol

Hey Guys, need some serious help here, stressing out since Yeo chaos.

Before:
DEF: Doch, McGrath, Yeo, Constable, Jones, Ginbey (Cowan, Wilmot)
MID: Laird, Brayshaw, Smith, Green, Callaghan, Ashcroft, Mackenzie, Phillips (Davey, Long)
RUCK: English, Marshall (McAndrew)
FWD: Dunks, Taranto, Rozee, Gulden, Sheez, Pou (Caminiti, Greene)
Utl: Chesser

I’m thinking drop jones and move chesser on field, then move smith down to Cogs (i keep thinkn of Hewett, is he a legit option?) then i can push Yeo up to Daics. But is it stupid having so many giants in the mid? wary of having so many from the same team stealing points from each other.

After:
DEF: Doch, Daics, Mcgrath, Constable, Ginbey, Chesser (Cowan, Wilmot)
MID: Laird, Brayshaw, Cogs, Green, Callaghan, Ashcroft, Mackenzie, Phillips (Davey, Roberts)
all others the same except for Long moved to Utl.

please help a fella out, cheers!

Advice plz

Doch, daicos, McGrath, constable, ginbey, chesser (cowan, wilmot)

Brouch, baz, jelly, serong, worpel, Callaghan, bytel, ashcroft, (hollands, Mackenzie, phillips util)

Marshall, ladhams (moyle)

Dunks, taranto, gulden, jhf, mclean, sheezel (phillipou, davey)
23k left

Undecided whether to go daicos and brouch or sicily and ldu… that would leave 56k left… thoughts,

1: Be weary of Ladhams. Hickey’s estimated return is 2-3 weeks – https://www.afl.com.au/matches/injury-list
-> Around that price range, I would probably select someone like Luke Jackson
2: Serong avg. 87.7 in 2022 with 7 100+ & many average scores with a floor of 60.
-> Some better suggestions: Tom Green, Tom Green, Tom Green, and Tom Green
3: I’ve heard others say it and I’ll reiterate: Brad Crouch isn’t rlly suitable for captaincy
4: It’s usually better if your utility is a DPP so you can move around players more easily
-> You should probably change one of your low-price midfielders to a DPP and Util
5: Bailey Smith + Bevo = recipe for disaster??? I swear WB mids are cursed (ignore)

When you support Collingwood & don’t have a single Collingwood player on your team

Fantasy is not about the team you support. I am a Collingwood supporter with precisely zero Pies in my side. If Daicos was not a tag risk, I would have him. I think the Pies are going to do great things this year, but scoring Fantasy points is not going to be one of them. A few years ago, I had a swag of them because they were Fantasy relevant. Now, they are not.

I’m a long term Port Adelaide supporter and Rozee is the first Port player I’ve had since the Rockliff and Boak era.

Well, I have two more Port players than Pies. I am stuck with JHF at F5, because he is the best of a sorry bunch at that price.

What’s the thoughts on Tom Green? Taranto gone could see him scoring big but quite worried considering his run of form at the end of last season

He set the world on fire at the start of last year, then went bust when he was given some roles. This year, GWS have lost Taranto, Hopper & Bruhn, so they will rely on Green now. He won’t get the defensive roles. so lock him in.

With Yeo & McLean out, my reshuffle leads to a choice:
1 – Sheed + Bruhn
2 – Worpel + JHF
I feel Sheed is better than Worps, but JHF is better than Bruhn.
Any thoughts?

1: Will Phillips is selected as an emergency. What should we do?
2: Todd Goldstein has been ruled out. How will that impact Trent Xerri’s scoring?
3: I had Lachie Cowan and Oliver Hollands on the bench. They were both disappointing

Daicos4Brownlow

Reply to  Zac

I think I will be offloading Phillips. He is a massive sub risk, which means he could well go down in value. Goldstein has not been ruled out; he is one of the emergencies. So, he is also at risk of being made the sub; not likely, but possible. It’s more likely to be Phillips. However, I know some will be eyeing off Xerri, but he could go off at three-quarter time. So the Norf game is important to look out for the final teams and sub announcement.

At least bot Cowan and Hollands made their BE (just). I had Hollands on-field after the Phillips not being named fiasco, so consider yourself lucky.

Looking at NM’s injury list, if he’s not qualifying for the team now, it’s unlikely he will.
Will Phillips was my M10 & I could either offload him for:
1: A midfield ~200k as my m10, DPP M/F for utility. So: Laurie or Long
2: Swap Phillipou to M10 & select a forward ~200k as my f7. So: F. Greene
Or, I could keep him, but if he doesn’t play rnd.2, I will lose a trade. So?

Jack

1. Best option would be to go ip to Bytel, but if not enough cash grab Phillipou if you don’t have him

2. Xerri will average 80+ solo, but risk of Goldy playing when North play dual rucks

3. Coach seemed happy with both players, so both should get more opportunities.

Do we take Docherty’s 110 VC score or do we risk it and go with Laird? I personally feel like taking the loop with Heath. Can’t risk it knowing the potential tag with Ash/Perryman.

I took a punt on Grundy – I have no injuries – rookies are good.

Option 1 Witts
Option 2 Darcy
Option 3 down from a premo and get English or Gawn

Cheers.

English probably has at least a 10-point buffer over Witts/Darcy, so potentially 3 if you had a premo underperform and you missed Green. Otherwise, I think Witts is more reliable than Darcy due to no second ruck, although Darcy probably has higher potential scoring though.

For my first trade I’ve gone Long to Chandler. However, for my second trade I have a few options:
1. Josh Kelly to LDU + 116k
2. Sheed to Setterfield or Callaghan + 232k (Have to take Hollands 77)
3. F Greene to Uwland (Have to take Hollands 77)
Any ideas?

Option 1: Kelly->Setterfield and Bytel->Day (using DPP) and thus getting second 2nd DEF rookie off-field and Ginbey at D6.

Option 2: Kelly->Green and either (Macrae/Bont up to Brayshaw) or (Bytel to Phillipou/Uwland (if named)) for cash grab.

Although Bytel looks like a good rookie, no word on how long he is out for.

Have Hollands E on mid bench, covering either Bytel or Kelly if I wish as well.

Nothing better to do, as nailed all my other mid-pricers and rookies.
