Just three Kangaroos averaged more than 78 points in 2022. Jy Simpkin and Luke Davies-Uniacke are likely to be solid premium performers, while the Aaron Hall is a buyer beware. The Traders chat through other key players such as underpriced MID/FWDs in Ben Cunnington and Tarryn Thomas.

Thanks guys. You certainly kick off the previews with a riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma. I have a strong sense of deja vu. In the lead up to 2022’s season, TT, Simpkin and Phillips were touted as big things. OK, Simpkin was not horrible, but TT had a shocker and Phillips … well? The big difference in players in the lead up to 2023 is that they have now added Darcy Tucker – who was another highly touted (but ultimately unsuccessful) prospect for 2022 but at Freo. The real gamble in 2023 is ‘will Clarkson really make them score?’ I certainly hope so, but I am far from convinced. At least TT, Tucker and Phillips are cheap, and Norf can’t get any worse, which may lead some of us to risk having one of them in our teams.

My list management team are currently talking with Goldy. He’s keen to sign up. Looks like I will start with 10 North Melbourne boys. Ziebell and Goater are on my watch list. Might have to change my team’s name from Red for China to something northish!!!!
