Keidean Coleman (DEF, $11,870)
Saturday v Gold Coast
Coleman has been in elite form averaging 90 in his last five games and 99 in his last three. The Lions love the ball in his hands and he takes plenty of easy +6’s (mark/kick). He plays the Suns on Saturday night on his home turf and should be great once again. At this price… you can’t really go wrong.
Josh Ward (MID, $9,200)
Saturday v Kangaroos
Ward got off to a hot start in his debut season but had a big flat patch soon after. Last week, he fired like he has never fired before with 34 touches, seven marks and a score of 133. Add to this… this week he only plays the Roos who give up plenty of points.
Ned Reeves (RUC, $9,040)
Saturday v Kangaroos
Far from the sexiest pick, but we all need a RUCK. Reeves has been solid though with two scores over 80 in his last three games. He had 39 hit outs last week and that was with Ben McEvoy back into the team. He’s cheap and has the role.
Jai Culley (FWD, $7,600)
Sunday v St Kilda
On debut last week, Culley scored an impressive 76 from only 12 touches. He is a tackling machine though and laid a game-high 11 tackles. He’s a hungry young lad who is a proven scorer.
Zach Merrett (MID, $15,090)
Sunday v Collingwood
Match-up don’t get any easier than this and Merrett meets Collingwood in hot form scoring 131, 128 and 127 in his last three. The Magpies are the easiest team to score against over the two months with players like Laird (163), LDU (145), Anderson (142), Touk (132) and Coniglio (129) cashing in recently against them.
Bailey Dale (DEF, $13,250)
Saturday v Melbourne
FACT: Melbourne are the No. 1 easiest team for defenders to score against and this trend has not slowed down over the last five weeks. This is because they give up the most uncontested marks per game and allow defenders to do as they please with some having their best scores for the season.
DEF v Melb, Round 18 – Houston 121 (top scorer), Byrne-Jones 99
DEF v Melb, Round 17 – Duncan 138 (top scorer), Atkins 108
DEF v Melb, Round 16 – Dawson 129, Salem 104
