Tim Taranto (F/M, $14,200)
Saturday v Port Adelaide
After hitting 125 last week, it’s easy to see why the Fantasy community is singing the praises of Timmy T. He has been injured and out of form but last week we saw signs of the Taranto of old. This is a hard match-up though with the Power ranking as the #2 hardest to score against this year.
Jy Simpkin (MID, $13,530)
Saturday v Collingwood
Coming off scores of 101, 112 and 108, Simpkin has finally found his groove. Collingwood are a good match-up for him as well as they are giving up plenty of points in recent weeks. He’s a guy you should never touch in Fantasy, but in Draftstars he is the perfect player for a one week hit.
Callum M. Brown (FWD, $6,000)
Saturday v Port Adelaide
With 96 on debut, this guy will be hot property this week. He did need four goals to get him there, but his six tackles is what caught my eye. His price remains the same as round 16 and he will decide many Draftstars’ results this weekend. What I mean is… you can run with the crowd here or you can go against them as a player like this has the ability to score a 90+ like last weekend, or a 35.
Rory Laird (MID, $17,550)
Sunday v Hawthorn
You get what you pay for and this is the guy you pay for.
Coming off his two best scores of the year with 136 and 129, Laird meets a team he had 142 against last year. He rates as the #1 man on form averaging 130 in his last three this year and last week, GWS went nuts against them with Taranto (125), Kelly (124) and Cogs (118) all finding it rather easy!
Jamie Cripps (FWD, $11,020)
Sunday v Carlton
The evil cousin on Patrick has been in career-best form with previous scores of 91, 93 and 112. These are elite scores for his price. This is a game I strongly believe that the Eagles could win and if they are to be a chance, this guy needs to fire.
Jack Crisp (MID, $14,990)
Saturday v Kangaroos
It’s no secret that I love to chase a juicy match-up and this one is no different. What is different here is the fact I’m using an “out of form” gun as my vehicle.
Crisp hasn’t been great and is coming off scores of 83 and 69, but this match-up suits him perfectly. He scored 126 against them last year and as we know, the Kangaroos give up plenty of points.
They rank as the #2 easiest team for MIDs to score against this year, a trend that has continued over the last five weeks. They gave Geelong 5×100+ scores last week and on Saturday afternoon, I’m expecting my mate “chippy chippy chippy” to have a day out.
