Round seven was a high scoring weekend with plenty of tons across the board including big Maxy as skipper for around a quarter of the competition. Some especially astute coaches also grabbed a triple figure score from Greg Clark on debut. Fresh off the final game, we’re ready to look at the weekend that was and make some rage trades. Let’s do this!
3:30 – Warnie is in the green vest this week.
7:20 – Greg Clark gets applauded for his 110 and is a must-have this week.
13:00 – Roy gives his new recruit Connor Rozee his -3, but there are plenty of reasons thrown back at him as to why it’s a harsh call.
17:25 – Calvin’s top 10 captain picks, led my Max Gawn, averaged 123 in round seven with his top five going at 131.
24:20 – While Robbie McComb scored 83, Ben Hobbs scored 30… highlighting the tough calls it is to nail you rookies each week.
28:40 – “You’re just getting on the pre-season hero” – Jayden Short is proving he’s anything but.
32:00 – Patrick Cripps is still value and should be a trade target this week, even if you traded him out!
37:55 – With a high breakeven, you can wait on Tim Taranto but he is going to be a value pick.
41:10 – Dylan Moore gets a deserved mention.
43:05 – Is Roy going early on getting rid of Will Brodie?
44:00 – Questions from social media – follow @AFLFantasy on Twitter and like the Official AFL Fantasy facebook page.
48:05 – Will Nick Daicos get a rest at some stage soon and could you trade him?
52:20 – Touk Miller v Patrick Cripps.
55:25 – Could picking Rory Laird as a point of difference be a winning move?

Best available ruck, except for Gawn, (who I can’t afford at the moment)?
Probably English should be due back this week
Tossing up between trading in touk who seems to be back or the ever consistent mills who tends to tag every now and then but his form is just fire… so tough to decide. Any pointers?
with the way sydney play they don’t really play a tagger, probably should have put warner on neale against brisbane. My point here is that i don’t think mills being that prolific will tag anymore and i think kennedy or warner will do that job instead.
Who to choose out of
Driscool vs North Mel
McComb vs Port
Who to field?
I’m going with NOD.
Do I trade a red dot to Carrol (Carl) and make maybe 20k or Rachelle down to a rookie now that his cash gen has dried up?
Also considering Macrae to Touk? Yay or nay?
I’ve got Macrae too. I’m keeping him for now as he was my second player picked after Gawn.
Getting rid of a red dot is always good.
Clark’s up $60k already.
OK Calvin you asked who is a good player to upgrade to in the Backline. How about a guy called Bailey Dale his BE is 74 and he is priced at 757
is josh kelly a good option atm. cheap by his standards, low BE
If I could I would be chasing J Crisp or Dunkley
Cripps or Jelly?
mccomb or carroll?
Combdog probably has better js
Bowey got 69, not 59!
lol I thought that too. Bowey has been a decent little scorer for me, picked up >$150k value and will be ripe for an upgrade soon. Seems to hit over his BE mostly.
I can get Gawn, if I trade N.Daicos to Carroll.
It means I will be playing two of: Clark, Carroll, or JHF.
But playing Gawn instead of S,Hayes has got to be worth it?
Gawn.. 298 points as C. Yeah, worth it.
My sentiments exactly!
do we know of any 190k defenders that are close to debuting? or do i just get de koning
Team will now be after trading xerri and ward for clark and de koning
Def: Whit, short, sicily, nod, N daicos, hewett (de koning, sinner)
Mid: green, smith, neale, bont, cripps, rowell, JHF, clark (macdonald, soligo)
Ruck: preuss, gawn (dixon)
For: Dunk, cogs, heeney, coleman, martin, brodie (Baldwin, durdin)
Now have 470k in the bank for upgrades next week and the double downgrade has enabled me to upgrade 2 out of jhf/daicos/nod/bont/green
I’m dreaming of this guy rocking up!
On my hope list
Josh Fahey (GWS $208K)
maybe Rory Thompson (Suns, $190K)
Unfortunately Will Kelly (Magpie, $191) out until after byes
Everyone was hot on Marchbank in the pre-season, any news if he will get a game?
