Trading Gawn, role changes, round two wrap – Ep. 500

PODCAST: Somehow Roy and Calvin managed to record an episode without Warnie!

It’s episode 500 of our little old podcast and in keeping with the professionalism that we’ve run with for the last nine years, there’s no Warnie and there’s no guarantee that this is even recording… We run through the issues coming out of round two and think ahead to our trades – which could include moving on a big man. Let’s do this!

    My +3 went to Brayshaw for being my captain. Even if I was playing the worst team in my league, just feels so good.

    Steele seems to have come back to the pack, but Petracca is going great guns. (I have both)

    Why doesn’t the AFL site have the teams injury list anymore?

        Thanks, fella’s.

        It’s good to know how long players will be out.
        It can make a big difference in team set up’s.

    Gawn-> preuss
    hough(on bench)->Crippa(move jhf or ward off field)
    or
    Gibcus->Nod
    Durdin->Xerri
    liking the first option with Gawn likely to come crashing down with his breakeven

    Gawn -> English and Dixon to Preuss (then bench Hayes)

    Or get rid of Tom Stewart for Lloyd or Docherty?

    How much more cash can we expect Rowell to make? Thinking of trading him (playing Ward onfield) to get Gibcus out of D6 and strengthen my backs.

    People are targeting Gawn. Grundy no better and glossed over. Grundy has been in decline since pig status

    I’ve got Grundy and Gawn and Iam positive Gawn will still be no 1 and Grundy Iam positive he’s plodding around and not the same ruck as years gone bye

    Hey Legends. Congrats on 500 shows. Awesome stuff. Any objections to off loading Whitfield for a basement rookie, playing the break even game, and moving Milera-Wanganeen on field and off loading Hayes(Stk) given it looks like Ryder will be back and getting Brayshaw (Frem)? Means I give Maxy and Rowell another week.

    Which 2 rucks will be highest scoring at the end of the year? I’m prepared to move off Gawn but all the other options feel like stepping stones just to end up getting Gawn back in 8 weeks time. This game shi*ts me.

      I went set and forget. For me that means you stick with them and their BEs are irrelevant. Surely you have other issues to also address.

        Unless there are injuries/COVID outs, nothing too major. All my other players are either making cash so I don’t want to move, or performing as expected. Gawndy and Whitfield are the only ones not hitting the ceiling I expect, but they could also smash it out of the park this week! My trades will probably end up being some sort of rookie fix ups with those who aren’t named.
