After listening to your podcast, I am having real trouble seeing anything wrong with the following trades:

    Macrae & Highmore> Dangerfield & De Goey, 15k left w/0 rookies on field…

Let me know how it looks after Macca drops 160, the other 2 don’t go big and you can’t get him back in.

        yep

        Which is the better option
Neal and Dusty-> mills and dangerfield
Prior and neal -> newman and de goey

Neale is back this week and has an amazing run. Keep him

yeah i’d hold neale he should be fine. but you can move on dusty thats fine.

And this is why the traders are hopeless

Thanks for the kind comment Daniel. If you’re referring to trading Macrae, if you didn’t listen to the podcast, it was a question posed on Twitter. I for one was dead against it, but with everything we do, we explore and discuss through stuff.

DeGoey? Seriously? Have you not learnt that if you keep touching the fire you’ll get burned? I thought you guys were better than this. I mean sure, he may suddenly have turned into a reliable premo option after 8-9 years of over promising and under delivering but history tells us he’s on one of his good streaks and about to turn back into a pumpkin. So regardless of the cries of “but his role!” etc if you get him in your desperate, a fool or a desperate fool and if it pays off you’re a lucky desperate fool and nothing more. Enjoy your yo-yo scoring and missed games.

Lots traded DeGoey early in the season then straight out again then he was called Kmart Dusty. Now he’s known as DeGoat & flavour of the month again. Another bad score & he probably picks up Kmart Dusty moniker again. I’m not getting DeGoey or the real Dusty..sick of rocks ‘n diamonds players. Ppl are trading in Paddy Dow too…bloody hell

DeGoey is a risk but personally I feel he is worth it. He has a great run home. He has the role. Sure there will be a 50 or a 60 here and there but I think he can average 90 the whole way home and thats value.

After getting de goey at the start of the year im never getting him again completely agree

Feel the main point is being missed here, he’s definitely a risk and every chance to revert to ‘Kmart Dusty” form but he’s also 100k less than danger who really has a similar reputation for dishing up really poor scores. His role is good, run home is good and form is good not to mention a cheap/affordable price. Could all blow up but for that price seems worth it. Plus cash generation at this stage of the season is low, people need a more affordable option than paying full price for Zorko/Hall/Kelly etc.

DeGoey, Cripps, Heeney and Serong never ever again, don’t get sucked in people.

    • Squid

      at

Serong is a bit early to call I reckon, it’s only his 2nd season but those others should be quarantined for everyone’s good.

Which one to bring in: Newman, deGoey, Stringer or Matt Kennedy (can’t afford Dusty)?

    • Burnt

      at

Good question. Depends on what line you need upgrading. I bought Danger this week and want to upgrade both if Stocker and Highmore to a defender. Currently thinking Newman as that is all I can afford.
De Goat to seems a bit like fools gold. A suspension or injury or a 50 awaits.

Should i priortise getting someone like dangerfield or getting rookies off the field
For example Dusty and prior -> danger and a rookie
Two rookies -> de goey and another rookie

  6. K

Can’t decide between upgrading Crouch to Oliver or kinda sideways trade of Dusty to Danger (role, injury, suspension all flags for me with Danger!). Third option is actually downgrading Crouch to a Kennedy etc to upgrade a rookie to a mid-pricer..?

So who will Clarko be coaching in the near future?
And how long will it take before his replacement, Mitchell at the hawks gets the boot?

This is the way these things usually work…
