$75k kitty on Saturday and $60k for Sunday
Reilly O’Brien (RUC, $11,340)
Saturday v Collingwood
ROB always seems to fall into these situations and this week he has found himself in another – with Brodie Grundy missing, he will take on a “ruckless” Collingwood.
Now, ROB hasn’t been great this year but he has taken the most of his opportunities.
Round 3 – Witts gets injured half-way through the game, he scores 96 thanks to a massive final term.
Round 11 – Scores 97, thanks to Nankervis going down with knee.
The thing is… he’s cheap and we’re backing him in here against a team who not only gives up points, but a team without their main #1 ruckman.
Brayden Maynard (DEF, $10,850)
Saturday v Adelaide
Righteo – this is a huge smokie and one we are willing to have a crack at off the back of Chris Mayne being rested this week.
Mayne has been on fire in the back-half for the Pies taking a massive 24 marks in the last two weeks for scores of 123 and 118, and with Mayne on the sidelines, we are hoping that Brayden Maynard is the guy who fills the role.
He has done this in the past and certainly could again against the Crows.
Cody Weightman (FWD, $7,230)
Sunday v Fremantle
Weighman is capable of 70-80, a score he has hit in his first two games.
The thing is, his score of 46 last week came in a loss, and this week the Dogs should have the Dockers covered with ease, and this is when Weightman is up and about.
At his price, we can expect 50-60, but this guy is a goal kicking freak and has the ability to bust this game right open and to push his score up towards the 80 mark.
Lachie Hunter (MID, $12,120)
Sunday v Fremantle
The role is there and the scores will start to follow.
Let’s not forget this is the guy who averaged 119 last year and meets a team he has dominated in the past with scores of 149, 98 and 122.
Hunter is heating up with scores of 93 and 102 in his last two games and in the final game of the round, he should come home like a freight train.
Patrick Cripps (MID, $13,140)
Sunday v Carlton
A few weeks ago, this guy was out of form. Then bang, bang and bang… Cripps is back!
Coming off scores of 120, 107 and 103 he has found a new gear in 2021 thanks to more tackles and a bag of goals last week.
Over his career he has averaged 100 against the Eagles and should be set for another 100+ scores against this week.
Dusty Martin (MID/FWD, $13,010)
Saturday v Essendon
Dusty in big games = TICK.
Firstly, over his career, Essendon are by far his easiest and favourite team to play. In his last seven games against them he has averaged 124, with previous scores of 126, 109 and 118.
These numbers are nuts for Dusty. The thing is, he loves the big stage and when these two teams meet, especially for the “Dreamtime” game, he turns up, especially if they are giving away medals (which I don’t think they do here, but might).
The negative with Dusty at the moment is his lack of 100+ scores in the last eight games, with only one sitting next to his name.
However, he is coming off 92… and had this match-up circled on his Bonds calendar from the start of the year.
