Welcome back to another edition of our best Draftstars’ plays for the weekend. With another huge kitty on offer for both the Saturday and Sunday contests, we have put our Fantasy brains together to hopefully, steer you in the right directly of some cold hard cash.
DETAILS:
-
$75k kitty on Saturday and $60k for Sunday
Good luck and please, gamble responsibly.
Tim Taranto (MID, $13,850)
Saturday v Sydney
Old mate TT is an easy pick for the Saturday contests after back to back 120+ scores.
This is a tougher assignment though as he meets the Swans who are the hardest for midfielders to score against.
Zach Merrett was the first MID to score 100+ on the Swans last week but on form, Timmy Taranto is a lock at this price.
Christian Petracca (MID, $15,110)
Sunday Vs Hawthorn
Last week, Worpel tagged Brayshaw which tells me that Clayton Oliver could cop it once again.
If that is the case, Petracca will be dominate once again, just like last week when he scored a huge 136. He had 120 on the Hawks last year and ranks as the 4th most inform player in the game at the moment averaging 122 in his last three games.
Jordon Sweet (RUC, $5,000)
Saturday v Gold Coast
It’s simple. The Suns don’t have a ruck.
We talked about this last week and our mate Matt Pittonet scored a 85, which was his best effort for the year, 12pts clear of the 73 he scored in round three.
The thing is, although Sweet may not have rucking duties all to himself, at this price you might as well take the gamble on a guy paying $5k.
Tom Hawkins (FWD, $12,180)
Sunday v North Melbourne
Over the last two weeks, key forwards have had a day out against the Kangaroos. In round three we saw Josh Bruce boot 10-goals for 150pts and last week Tex Walker knocked up a nice 99.
Hawkins has been solid enough this year without being amazing. He has averaged 80 in his last three and returns home alongside Patrick Dangerfield, ready to get the Cats back on their winning ways.
He has scored 100 and 105 in his last two games against them and could be huge on Sunday.
Bailey Williams (DEF, $11,560)
Saturday v Gold Coast
Caleb Daniel is OUT and Williams is now the #1 man down back. He opened the season in fine form with 106, a score I can see coming on Saturday.
So far this year, the Suns are the 2nd easiest to score against and Williams will be stepping up to the plate in style.
Adam Treloar (MID, $13,450)
Saturday v Gold Coast
The Bulldogs have plenty of midfielders, however, they don’t have many at this price and only Macrae who is attending more centre bounces than Treloar.
Because of this, Treloar has now scored 106 and 127 in his last two games.
As a Magpie, Treloar used to love playing the Suns, a team he has scored 106, 129, 101 and 134 on in his most recent games.
He started the year slow with scores of 59 and 76 but has hit his straps now and won’t ever be this cheap again.
REMINDER: Teams for Saturday are announced tonight with Sunday games being announced on Saturday night. Be sure to check final teams before entering your team to play.
