North Melbourne AFL Fantasy Classic Prices 2020

Through 10 rounds last season the Kangaroos were averaging 394.0 Disposals per game (Rank 4), after the coaching change at Round 11 to Rhyce Shaw they averaged 362.7 Disposals for the remainder of the season.

Unless there is a significant shift in game style from Shaw the disposal numbers may be low again for the Kangaroos in 2020, they will be an intriguing watch over the pre-season.

2020 Potential Targets:

Jack Ziebell MID/FWD $666K

The change in role from a starting forward to a high usage role in the midfield provided a significant increase in scoring for Ziebell last season, he averaged 66.8pts between Rounds 1-5 & 96.5pts between Rounds 6-23.

If Rhyce Shaw commits to playing Ziebell at a high rate in the midfield then his average will likely remain high, many will fear a split Forward/Midfield role again which would likely see a decline in average.

Todd Goldstein RUCK $656K

One player likely to have low ownership at Round 1 is Goldstein, he averaged 95.6pts from his final 8 games in 2019 for a season average of 88.2pts.

Goldstein scored 100pts or more in just 18.2% of games last season, this was well down from 36.4% in 2018.

For those looking for a Round 14 Bye Ruck option Goldstein would have to be in the mix, there is upside based on his starting salary.

At age 31 to begin the 2020 season the decline may continue, but with no immediate challenge to his role the scoring opportunities will be available.

Luke Davies-Uniacke MID/FWD $395K

The numbers for LDU have been underwhelming early in his career from a fantasy perspective, his development has been very slow to date.

The starting salary for Davies-Uniacke is once again enticing enough to place him on your watch-list over summer, an increase from his 2019 season average of 14.9 Disposals in both pre-season games is a must.
