Welcome back for another week of Team Sheets! Thankfully, the major bye rounds are now over, with all teams resuming with matches this week and no more missing premiums or failing to field 18 for fantasy coaches. With little to worry about this week, most coaches will be in a great position to continue removing their last couple of rookies from the field. For an unfortunate few, a curveball has been thrown up following the long-term injuries suffered by Adam Treloar and Connor Blakely. Let’s check out all the fantasy relevant INs and OUTs!
Captaining our list of INs this week is ball magnet Rory Laird, who returns from a broken hand to assist the under siege Crows. Coaches will be hoping for a 120+ effort from Laird to repay the faith to those who held him over his injury in the byes. Carlton Skipper Marc Murphy is also back in this week, after recovering from his plantar fascia issue which has plagued the most part of his 2018 season. The Eagles decimated forward line will be bolstered by the inclusions of Brendon Ah Chee and Brayden Ainsworth, who will attempt to fill the void left by Lecras, Kennedy, and Darling. In terms of fresh meat, Quinton Narkle and Brayden Sier appear to be the best options available for the week, debuting for the Cats and Pies respectively.
The player set to be missed by most coaches this week is Pies midfield gun Adam Treloar following a sickening double hamstring injury sustained in last weeks clash against the Blues. Joining him on the sidelines is Fremantle half-back flanker Connor Blakely, who damaged his meniscus during training this week. Giants key forward Jeremy Cameron is set to serve the first of his five-match suspension this week, whilst Blues will be without injury-prone ruckman, Matthew Kreuzer. Popular rookies Mason Redman and Patrick Wilson are both out this week for the Dons and Crows respectively, with the former injured for 6-8 weeks with an ankle injury and the latter omitted.
Good luck this week, hopefully, your teams are looking much more complete now after the major bye rounds following some sensible upgrade/downgrade improvements. Kick of discussion below, or you can grab me on twitter @JelmsDT.
