Welcome to the bye rounds, players missing left right and center and our teams looking more and more like a (Warne) dogs breakfast each time we open the fantasy team team. With mega consistent players such a Stephan Coniglio and Rory Laird adding to the list of players already on the bye, the easy round is looking much more difficult. Let’s check out all the major INs and OUTs!
INs
Leading a rather underwhelming list of INs this week is Jasper Pittard who returns this week for Port, whilst Anthony Miles and Jason Castagna return for the Tigers. For the Saints, Nicholas Coffield has been recalled, alongside Josh Battle, Luke Dunstan and fantasy flop Nathan Brown. Cam Zurhaar returns for the Roos this week, whilst journeyman Matt de Boer comes back in for the Giants. The Suns have recalled Brad Scheer and Jack Leslie, notably choosing not to recall Jarryd Lyons. Heading into the Sunday games this week, Dylan Clarke has been included in Essendons squad, Aaron Sandilands comes back in for Fremantle alongside Hayden Ballantyne, Brandon Matera and Mitch Crowden. The Crows regain skipper Taylor Walker, who returns from injury, as well as Jordan Gallucci and debutant Patrick Wilson. Collingwood have again included Sam Murray in their squad for their Monday Queens Birthday clash with the Dees; Jeremy Howe is a shock inclusion, making an earlier than expected return from injury. Joel Smith, Cam Pederson, Jayden Hunt and first gamer Harrison Petty round out this weeks list of inclusions.
OUTs
Co-captains of our OUTs list this week are Giants onballer Stephan Coniglio and Crows rebounding defender Rory Laird. In a time when we needed stability from our premiums, the exclusion of these two through injury hurts us more than ever. Joining them in this weeks ‘leadership group’ is Fremantle skipper Nat Fyfe, who’s one game suspension was upheld by the AFL tribunal this week and Dustin Martin, who is set to miss this week with a calf strain. Aaron Hall has been ruled out for the Suns clash with the Giants this week, citing a pectoral injury, whilst fantasy whipping boy Jack Billings has finally been dropped by the Saints. Sydney rookie Ryley Stoddart has been dropped as has Essendon product Jordan Ridley. Cash cow extraordinaire Tim Smith has been dropped this week by the Demons, as has Jake Lever who ruptured his ACL last week.
Teams on the bye this week are Carlton, Hawthorn, Western Bulldogs and West Coast. Make sure you’ve got these players on the bench and as many playing onto the field, in an effort to have your best 18 scores counted this week. Good luck to everyone over the coming weeks, hopefully we don’t face carnage like this again anytime soon! Kick off discussion in the forum bellow or you can reach me on twitter @JelmsDT.

Who would you trade out of T.Smith (3 be but dropped) or Spargo (3 be and playing). Both would be on the bench with Ronke too

Surprised Spargo has been spared the guillotine over Smith. But that is the fact of it, and if you were trading one out you could not be confident on the ‘when’ of Smith’s return. Keep the playing player.

True man. But its the Monday game so Spargo still could be cut. I just feel Tim Smith was injured early and he will come back after their bye. One bad game and Spargo is gone.

That’s a tough one, I’d move on Smith, all about getting as many on the park as you can at the moment, it’s hard to really know when Smith comes back in, plus Pederson has some good VFL form on his side.

Feel for you mate, that’s some absolute rotten luck, with all the outs someone was bound to get the short end of the stick!

Murray, smith, and billings
Out to
Brayshaw, rocky, ahern
Was looking at Walters instead of rocky but byes don’t help and it means missing ahern.
Thoughts?

What about Swallow? Can be a bit up and down but 7 scores over 80 and 4 of then 100+ relatively good fixtures, $574k
$85k cheaper than the hoff and likely to score similar.

I’d rather go Rocky and Ahern myself, Ahern showed a lot and rocky will play three games at home in a row over the byes. It’s placing a lot of faith in rocky after last weeks stinker, but surely he can return to his form since coming back in.

Port have said Rocky is not their go to tagger, last week was just a one off. He should get better scores going forward.

brayshaw or westhoff, not worried about the byes, also what do people think of Tim smith will he get another run or time to move him on, cheers

Brayshaw is the go to, playing a great role and well underpriced for what he’s been doing

Can’t see him being a regular in the side unfortunately.. Being omitted is a massive difference than being rested for concussion protocol.

Im trading Dusty this week, question is do I get Zorko or Brayshaw (Who I will later swap with Seedsman for a midfield upgrade). Both share the same bye.
My thoughts are Zorko because I think he will go bigger, I’m pressing for a win in my league this week. (Will also captain him)

I’d like to ditch Dusty also Don – strong possibility he won’t return till after his bye. With cogs missing, plus other carnage, tough to know what I’m gonna do.
Zorko looks to have found his consistency and we know what he is capable of. Brayshaw doesn’t have the runs on the board from previous seasons. If you’ve got the $$$ I reckon Zorko also.

I’m thinking Dusty to Gibbs or Crouch.
Same bye round, Dusty has obviously dropped considerable cash but Gibbs amd Crouch have also dropped 100k so evens out a little. Or Danger?(-150k), Gaz(-159k).
Who knows if Dusty will even play next week? There’s also a concern on his fitness. If he reaches his BE90 next time he plays, he’ll still be cheap enough to bring back in after the byes.

Also, if Neale joins Fyfe on the sideline, Crows midfield could get leather poisoning!

I need help, I have 12 outs this week on my field, Laird, Yeo, Simpson, Sicily, Titch, Macrae, Fyfe, Cog, Dusty, McClean, Rioli and Tim Smith. All of that before trades and have Ridley and Mutch on my Bench. Someone help me please
