On the Line with Stu – Round 9

Time to make some money again! Our mate Stu looks at the gambling markets from round 9 to find you some money.

hodgeyBack for round 9 ready to make some cash! A lot of teams form has been up and down the last month making it very tough but lets see what we can find.

As always the lines, odds and markets are bought to you by William Hill. Sign up HERE is you want to get involved.

Carlton (+72.5) over Sydney and Gold Coast (+74.5) over Hawthorn

2 Great games to start off the weekend! Just too many points you have to take them, although Hawthorn have been generally brutal down in Tassie in recent times.

Value – Josh Kennedy 30 or More Disposals – $1.70

Value – Most Marks Group A – Luke Hodge – $4.75

Hannebery is on fire and should take the hard tag from Curnow allowing Kennedy to rack up. It’s going to be wet in Launceston tomorrow and not a day for marking forwards so take out Gunston, Roughhead, Lynch and Dixon and not enough ball down back from Gibson. Expect them to try and get the ball in the returning captain’s hands to set up play.

Port Adelaide (-15.5) over Melbourne

Imagine how much money you would have on this in round 1!! I’m giving Port one last chance to find something and cover what really should be an easy line.

Value – Most Disposals – Group A – Nathan Jones – $5.25

Jones is leading the Demons in disposals this year and has gone 30 and 31 in his last 2 against Port, really like these odds.

GWS (-12.5) over Western Bulldogs

The Bulldogs are really hard to get a read on this year. After beating the Swans in Sydney they have dropped their last 3 including losses to Melbourne and St Kilda. While GWS are young, it looks like they have really hit their stride and are a top 8 team.  Have to keep going them till they burn me.

Value – Most Goals – Jeremy Cameron – $2.75

Go with the big power forward. Hogan kicked a couple on the dogs last week; Pav had 5 the week before.

Richmond (-4.5) over Essendon

Neither team has won 2 on the trot since 2010 in this match-up and history says its Essendon’s turn to win. But that’s a stupid brandonway to look at form. I think Richmond is a better team and will cover despite ‘while mum was busy’  Dustin Fletcher’s milestone game.

Value – Most Disposals Group A – Brandon Ellis – $5.25

Not the biggest name in the group but finds the footy. Cotchin is the favourite in this group but if he cops a heavy tag, has a habit of becoming invisible.

Fremantle (-21.5) over Adelaide

I doubted Fremantle last week and I will not do that again.

Value – Nathan Fyfe to have 30 or more Disposals – $1.65

Dudes a freak.

St Kilda (+9.5) over Brisbane *

Brisbane have been better the last month but I think they are getting a bit too much credit for the Port win. Like the Saints plus the points.

North Melbourne (-2.5) over Collingwood*

I know I put my balls on the line with North last week and they squished them into peanut oil but what have Collingwood done to be this close?

Geelong (+18.5) over West Coast*

This could be my heart betting more than my head, actually might keep my money for next week on this one.

Good luck punters.

Best Bets/Multi – GWS line, Richmond line, Freo line.
