NAB Cup Squads: Round 4

It’s the final round of the NAB Cup and most clubs will be looking to play fairly settled teams. Just note that 3 subs are able to be activated at half time in the NAB Cup Grand Final (and most likely other games) so checking Time on Ground numbers is very important. We’ve highlighted important DT rookies and cheapies to watch this weekend who are vying for Round 1 selection.

Shiel probably has more of a chance of being named in the GWS team, so not out yet.

Not sure if he will be back or not.

Good to see roughie back!!! But with Bailey gone he could end up in a backline key position, hard to see him going back into the ruck for the first month or so. But David hale could end up with a promising ruck/forward role.

“The Giants’ coach said he was pretty close to finalising his preferred 22 for the match against Sydney.

He suggested GWS would field its strongest available squad for the final pre-season hit-out against Richmond in Canberra on Saturday.

”The best ones we can put out there,” Sheedy said.”

Miles was always a risky option. he will score well when he plays but he will miss games. If he isn’t making the side on a regular basis now it’s only going to get worse when guys like Shiel and Treloar are fit.
Plenty of better options then Miles.

    FB: Bugg Mohr Reid
    HB: Kennedy Davis Cornes

    HF: Coniglio Cameron Smith
    FF: Wilson Falou Hampton

Mid price madness is looking more inviting everyday. So many popular rookies not going to play round 1. The ones that do might not back it up for round 2 3 4 5. The ones that do happen to play all those vital games, allot will probably be vested.
Mid price madness feels so much safer.

In saying that, i always cringe when i see people complaining or criticizing the articles that are written on here. Massive lack of appreciation and respect. But they are a minority and most of us here appreciate and realize just how much time and effort goes into this site and all the info that is published here. Whats the story with Arron Young from the power? will he get games or is he in the squad to fill up the numbers? Also is Nathan Wilson worth a look?

Not sure if he’s best 22 but could be a handy downgrade target with injuries etc. Played the second half last night, slightly built but looks assured with the cod in his hands and kicked a couple of goals.

Geeez I’m thinking of getting rid of Didak, Gaff & Christensen (who I’ve had from day dot) and bringing in in form players Masten, Dangerfield and Steele…. been burnt by Masten & Danger before but its a new season. A mate told me Danger has a bigger tank and is in his final contract year…. plenty of ‘rules’ out there for a breakout but how many people have connected the incentive of a new contract? Just food for thought….

    Anyway, thoughts on…

    OUT: Didak, Gaff & Christensen

    IN: Masten, Dangerfield and Steele

Can’t understand Sandos line up based on the current good form of Kerridge and Lynch (named as emerg). Instead Henderson and the slow S Mckernan have been given spots on the int bench. These guys havnt done a great deal in the past 2-3 seasons. Would much prefer Lynch and Kerridge to be given more gametime so we can see just how good they really are. Got Kerridge locked and would seriously consider Tommy Lynch as a viable downtrade option

    Any thoughts?

I think the emergencies can come on after 1/2 time, but not 100% sure.
