Would you like a Dream (Team) Job working for the official stat provider of the AFL? Champion Data are looking for a football nut who knows the Oracle stuff. If this sounds like something you’d be interested in, then read on!

What we’re after is a football nut that knows the Oracle stuff.  They must be experienced so no grads.  The work will be hard, easy, frustrating and fulfilling as we’re a small company and there’s always lots to do and many things to improve. Lastly, it’s a job where we can talk about footy and claim it’s work!

Experienced Oracle PL-SQL Developer / Data Manager
Champion Data are seeking a sports minded individual with a demonstrated technical ability working with Oracle DBs to join our growing team.
You will be degree level qualified in Information Technology and possess the following knowledge and experience profile:
  • Strong PL/SQL development, debugging, tuning and optimisation
  • Strong Oracle RBMS architecture, Oracle JDBC, Oracle supplied packages, Data Modelling and Database security models
  • Competence with UNIX shell scripting and solaris
  • Knowledge and competency in  DBA tasks
  • Knowledge and competency in DB design tasks
  • Large Oracle database experience
  • Exposure to interfacing PL/SQL with Java client software.
  • Creation of reliable and documented database PL/SQL objects
Your main priority as the Oracle PL/SQL Developer is to work in conjunction with Developers to provide the necessary database access requirements.  Additionally you will be required to maintain database tables, views and ensure data integrity.
Attention to detail is a must.
