Rant time. Commentators…again! I’ve got the replay of the Sydney Essendon game on in the background. Spud (how apt!) is doing special comments. The majority of his comments are related to individual error from a coach’s perspective but few ( if any) of his comments refer to those aspects of the game that can’t be perceived from the broadcaster’s narrow zoom…ie. What is each team attempting to achieve with their play with respect to their team structure? And how is that having an impact on the game? There were times in that game that none of the Sydney forwards were beyond the centre circle and I don’t think it was “commented” on once. Essendon worked hard for their goals all day while Sydney beat Essendon’s defenders one out rebounding out of defence time and time again. The broadcasters suck and Spud, you suck! Coach Tuggerong and stop telling me this shit!

looks good…I’ve got Rioli and he’s been massively disappointing, he’s just not a DTer. That said, I’m hoping that against the Crows he may just have a decent week. But that trade looks good, I’m planning on making almost the same one in a few weeks unless Rioli turns the corner (which I can’t see happening)

I just thought of something i think is really smart.

??????With higgins out will GIA be back in the midfield and ripping it up again like he did when he took boyds position?????

have 12 trades left but wil be getting on the jizz train and ROK i think. got hille and maguire but thank god i am playing bottom of the ladder this week so al should be good

heard reports that robert murphy is likely to come back this week which means HOPEFULLY he takes Gia spot in the forward line leaving him to take Higgins spot….FINGERS CROSSED!!

It looks like Melbourne are optimistic that Sylvia could play on monday….

Thoughts on Brisbane’s Travis Johnstone? Ave of 92 but with price tag of only $352G and a negative -13 BE .

Were his last two rounds of 115 and 162 (after coming back from 2 weeks off) just flukes…so a misleading average???

Im guessing Western Bulldogs are gonna play a more risky style this week given their last qtr against Pies, so Brissie might pull in some big DT scores.

If not Johnstone, what about Luke Power?

Before anyone saids it, I cannot afford Monty or any other $400G+ player.

Mate, wot about Scotty thompson from Adelaide, 378K and same average as the other 2. Think his and crows form will be much better in 2nd half of year.
Doesn’t have the really bad games like other 2, reckon he is more likely to average 100+ for 2nd half than other 2!!!

yeah was looking at Scotty as well. Jsut a bit worried that the 143 he got last round boosted his ave too much and that it was due to the Tyson Edwards emotion (only got 74 and 77 in the previous 2 rounds)…then again Adelaide appear to be on a bit of a roll, so he might squeeze out some great scores hereonin.

well next round im looking foward to having a defense of goddard , hodge, gilbert, enright, carrazzo, scotland and malsex with mids gablett, mitchel, judd, monty, dal sants and barlow. Fowards are chapman thomas, ROK, goodes, brown, pods and grant. my bench is worrying me though. do you think daniel stewart and lewis stevenson will get many games?? Thanks
