  • DEF: Laird, Lloyd, Yeo, Simmo, Seedsman, Blakely (O’Shea, Rice)
MID: Titch, Neale, Gibbs, Merrett, Parker, Kelly, Brayshaw, Phillips (Mutch, Clarke)
    RUC: Gawn, Martin (McInerney, Cameron)
FWD: McLean, D.Smith, Heeney, Billings, Bundy, Guelfi (Rioli, ZGL)

103K in the bank. My mid is shot, looking at going O’Shea > Ridley and Kelly > Crouch or Rocky. Leaves 132k with rocky and 43k with Crouch. Then next week double downgrade and upgrade Rioli/Bundy/Guelfi to a premo mid if I get rocky. Thoughts? cheers.

  • Thoughts on Logan Austin? Would you take him over Bailey Rice?

  • Ratugolea to Angus Brayshaw
    Ratugolea to Tim Smith
    Tim Kelly to Danger???

    • Probs gotta fix up the injured player. Depending on your bench depth, you would either upgrade to Brayshaw or downgrade to Smith. but depends on your depth.

    • Probs gotta fix up the injured player. Depending on your bench depth, you would either upgrade to Brayshaw or downgrade to Smith. but depends on your depth.

  • Is Powell Pepper an option? trying to get rid of TT and Tim Kelly this week and want to bring in Rockliff for TT which only leaves me with 525k.

  • trade out crowden or pearce for rocky?

  • dom barry to rocky and 5k
jack higgins to rocky and 72k

if i go higgins to rocky, than I wouldnt have many benhc players playing but by going barry to rocky, I dont have much cash

    thoughts would be appreciated

    • I think you take the $$$ hit and get rid of Barry, as he will end up hurting your team later in the year as he’s not going to play much and plus we are about to come into 3 trade weeks and you can easily gain the cash back over the next three weeks.

  • 1. Ronke and Coffield to rocky and rice
    2. Fritsch and Coffield to rocky and T Smith
    3. Taranto and Venables to rocky and T Smith

    1. 2 or 3?

  • Barry to Rocky mate, Higgins at least has JS and you’ll have 3 trades for the next 3 weeks to fix up your cash “problems”

  • Angus Brayshaw or Jack Crisp? Mid-price / value defender madness!

  • Waterman > Rocky
    Kelly > Brayshaw

    leaves me with 97k. thoughts?

  • DEF: R.Laird P.Seedsman S.Murray M.Hibberd T.Doedee J.Ridley (N.J.Brown A.Pearce)
    MID: J.Macrae S.Coniglio N.Fyfe P.Cripps E.Phillips C.Spargo B.Banfield (A.Brayshaw P.Dow)
    RUC: M.Gawn C.Sinclair (D.Cameron O.McInerney)
    FWD: T.Mclean D.Smith M.Robinson L.Franklin M.Walters T.Taranto (Z.Giles-Langdon D.Venables)

    Currently have $177K
    Already traded T.Kelly to M.Walters
Not sure what else to do

  • Taranto – Rocky
    Kelly – Hall

    Kelly – Rocky
ZGL Or Rayner – Tim Smith

Which one? And if the second trade who goes between ZGL (15k left) or Rayner (70k left)

  • DEF: Laird, Yeo, Seedsman, Sicily, Doedee, Rice (Murray, Naughton)
MID: Macrae, Titch, Coniglio, Lyons, Zerrett, Dusty, T. Kelly, Ed Phillips (Banfield, Mutch)
    RUC: Gawn, Sam Jacobs
FWD: Mclean, Devon Smith, Heeney, Fritsch, Gowers, Spargo (D. Forgarty, Giles-Langdon)

    Remaining Salary: $94K

    R12: 7 players
    R13: 9 players
    R14: 12 players

At this stage although dusty and sam Jacobs drive me nuts each week (I’ll get rid of them at their bye), this week I’m looking to offload some more rookies. Looking to get rid of Tim Kelly in the midfield, D. Forgarty or Gowers in the forward line, and Murray or Doedee in defence. Looking to bring in Tim Smith, Tom Rockliff and possibly Angus Brayshaw. Trade suggestions and ideas involving other players are all welcome.

    • I think Fogarty > Tim Smith (Going to make easy money) and T.Kelly > Rocky.

    • From what Buckley said, it doesn’t look like Murray will be back any time soon (needs a rest from senior footy). From what Pyke said, Doedee’s doing a great job in the Crows backline – his JS looks good to go for the byes at this stage.

    • Jacobs -> wits would be my trade in your position.

  • Bigger priority to get in this week, Angus Brayshaw or Tim Smith? Can only get one

  • I have a few options this week (suggestions?)
    Kelly to rockliff
    Coffield to brayshaw

    Coflfield to brayshaw
    Marin to rockliff
    (More cash left)

Rategulea to a rookie (275 and under, 2 k short of T Smith)
    Kelly to any player

    • 275 and under is if i get Mcrae which wouldn’t make sense this week, but getting tim smith isn’t smart as i have two Melbourne forwards in my team already.

    • You should be able to afford T.Smith if you get Kelly to anyone? Ratugolea > Smith and Kelly > Rocky

      • Tim smith is a great choice even if you have other melbourne fwds there, his Breakeven is -36. So he’ll go up at least another 50k if he gets around 75 i reckon. Getting rocky will leave you plenty to able to afford a rookie > Macrae in round 13.

  • DEF: Laird, Simpson, Lloyd, Howe, Doedee, Ridley (Murphy, Cumming)
MID: Macrae, Titch, Coniglio, Fyfe, Zerrett, Neale, T. Kelly, Gibbs (Banfield, Barry)
    RUC: Gawn, Nic Nat
FWD: Mclean, Devon Smith, Menegola, Fritsch, Christensen, Guelfi (Ronke, Crowden)

scored 2260 inside the top 2000 now.

    But looking at:
    OUT IN
    Banfield Phillips
    Kelly Rockliff
    Bank- 62K

  • 1. Ronke and Coffield to rocky and rice
    2. Taranto and Venables to rocky and T Smith

    1. Or 2

    • I would defs go 2, As Ronke has still money to gain and Venebles is sitting weight and Kelly will also restrict Taranto scoring ability.

  • DEF: Laird, Lloyd, Yeo, Simmo, Seedsman, Blakely (O’Shea, Rice)
MID: Titch, Neale, Gibbs, Merrett, Parker, Kelly, Brayshaw, Phillips (Mutch, Clarke)
    RUC: Gawn, Martin (McInerney, Cameron)
FWD: McLean, D.Smith, Heeney, Billings, Bundy, Guelfi (Rioli, ZGL)

    103K in the bank.
    1st trade T.Kelly > Rockliff

Which is the best for the second trade?
    1. O’Shea > Ridley, leaving 132k
    2. Rioli > Tim Smith, leaving 121k
    3. ZGL > Tim Smith, leaving 36k

  • ed curnow or jack macrae?

  • DEF: laird, yeo, lloyd, seedsman, doedee, ridley (murray, cumming)
MID: titch, cogs, treloar, neale, zerrett, rockliff, brayshaw, kelly (barry, phillips)
    RUC: gawn, naitanui (mcinerney, cameron)
FWD: billings, heeney, d.smith, taranto, christenson, guelfi (spargo, flynn)

    450k in bank

looking to bring in some premos but unsure of what to do… any advice lads

  • Hey everyone,
    Looking at two trade options:
Both Kelly (Gee) and Cunico out

    Do I get in
Walters and Rocky with 13k left using some dpp

Or Smith(Mel) and one of the above with approx 290k left?

The second option would mean the rookies fielded are down to Doedee, Plus 2 of Spargo, Guelfi, Phillips

  • Thoughts please:

Laird, Simpson, Crisp, Seedsman, Sicily, Hibberd (Pearce, Duman)

Titch, Cogs, Treloar, Neale, Dusty, Zerrett, Kelly, Phillips (Mutch, Clarke)

    Gawn, Stef (Big o, Cameron)

Smith, Heeney, Taranto, Allen, Billings, Gowers (Waterman, Lewis)

Trades waterman to Smith-Kelly to Rocky
    $53k in bank.

  • Since when do players score better when they have lower tog? It applies to nicnat apparently. Although I do wish West coast would let nicnat play more than 65% tog next week.

    • Because he is unfit and gets his points from his athleticism/speed/power rather than pure skills. He can only manage that in short bursts and then rests to top up tank

      • Getting 100 in 65 percent game time is something not worth whinging about you bingo players. Have a look at yourselves

      • Nicnat is not unfit. He is fantastic in short bursts and is managed to extend his career, plus Lycett is highly underrated. Hes got skills son, hes a contested possession beast, brilliant tap ruckman, solid mark and has a good set shot. I bet he wants to play more tog however the coaching staff manage him, dont want to risk a long term injury.

I found a heap wrong with everything you said then I saw you are a dockers supporter..

        • Dry your eyes princess
If you think he has the tank and stamina to keep it up for 80+% of the game you are completely deluded. More time less PPM

          • If you have read into anything at west coast you would know he gets frustrated because the coaching staff have strict minutes for him on and off the ground. Even when hes dominating he has to leave the field as they are managing him for the whole season. He would be able to stay on the ground for that long but his risk of injury would go through the roof and they dont have to have him on the field he whole time because they have lycett.

Damn salty freo supporters do my f**king head in 😂…

  • Easiest 2 trades il make all year,

    Murray -> Brayshaw
    Dunkley -> Rockliff
    40k left

DEF: Laird, Lloyd, Yeo, Seedsman, Brayshaw, Mirra (Ridley, Pearce)
MID: Mitchell, Treloar, Coniglio, Crouch, Lyons, Merrett, Kelly, Phillips (Banfield, Mutch)
    RUC: Gawn, Nicnat
FWD: Mclean, DSmith, Rockliff, Billings, Christensen, Fritch (Waterman, Keefe)

Want to ditch Kelly but due to job security I will hold til his bye. Gotta double downgrade Mutch and Keefe to playing players next week. We all know theres more carnage to come. First week ive been ok with my side haha my worst DT year in 10 years of playing, 25k overall atm..

  • Walters or Matt Crouch?

    • Crouch, scared that Walters will hurt himself again

      • Matt Crouch is pretty injury prone too…

        • I’ve had Crouch twice this year, ffs. I’ve had Walters in the past too. From now on I’m just getting guys like Zaharakis and Oliver into my team. Can’t handle the roller coaster players any more

          • Yeah i got crouch in again over zorko… Going for the safer option, well so i thought.

          • I started with Sicily, then traded him out after his suspension figuring I couldn’t handle the games missed for an 80 point player, then brought him back in after his run of 100s only to get 71 & 80 again….

All up he’s averaged 78 in my team and 107 out of it..

    • Walters will continue with midfield time which will more than likely increase as Brady Grey regains fitness and Harley Bennel possibly to come in

  • 1)
    Brayshaw > Giro (if named)
T.Kelly > Laird (via Seeds DPP)

Brayshaw > Tim Smith (via Spargo DPP)
    T.Kelly > Rocky

Prefer 1 (has been brutal watching laird kill it), but leaves me with a worse bye structure

  • Def: Laird,Yeo,Lloyd,Howe,Doedee,Ridley (Keeffe/Pearce)
    Mid: Titch,Cogs,Treloar,Cripps,Z Merrett, Dusty,T Kelly,Ed Phillips (Barry/Mutch)
    Rucks: Gawn,Jacobs (Cameron/McInerney)
    Fwd: McLean,D Smith,Taranto,Heeney,Christensen,Guelfi (Crowden/Higgins)
    Bank = $80k

    What should be priority:
    1) Get rid of unused rookies ( Double Downgrade ) like Crowden,Barry, Mutch
    2) Downgrade/Upgrade eg. Crowden > T Smith & T Kelly > Rocky
    3) Any other suggestions

    • Depends if your chasing points or cash,

Like for a win in leagues i would go 2. and you can always use those unused rookies as trades when we have the three trades next week.

Or you could do the double downgrade this week and hit the byes with $$$$

But Id be getting rid of Barry and Crowden first.

  • Two scoops of vanilla please. Rat to Smith, Kelly to Rocky.

Laird, Seedsman, Whitfield, Goddard, Doedee, Murray (Ridley, Pearce)

Titch, Macrae, Steven, Merrett, Neale, Parker, Rocky, JOM (Phillips, Mutch)

    Gawn, Martin (McInerney, Cameron)

Maclean, Sicily, Petracca, Billings, Ronke, Guelfi (Smith, Keeffe)

  • Who goes first out of petracca z.fisher Christiensen or Fritsch up to rocky

    • Zac Fisher or Tracca IMO.
I’ve got Christensen to and he’s last 2 weeks have been good. So you wouldn’t trade him.
I’m looking at off loading him in rnd 13 for McLean if I can find the funds to do so.
Hopefully triple downgrade next week and then McLean.

  • Guys.

    What’s better.
Waterman to Smith and Kelly to Rocky
Or Waterman to Jones and Kelly to Danger?

  • DEF: Laird, Yeo, Lloyd, Whitfield, Ryan, Doedee (Rice, Murphy)
MID: Macrae, Mitchell, Fyfe, Coniglio, Merrett, Kelly, Phillips, Banfield (Coffield, Mutch)
    RUCK: Martin, Gawn (McInerney, Cameron)
FWD: McLean, Heeney, Smith, Taranto, Ronke, Guelfi (Giles-Langdon, Spargo)

    Cash: $225k

Currently have gone Taranto to Rockliff and Murphy (via DPP) to Smith. Thoughts on trades and other options

  • DEF: Laird Yeo Whitfield Sicily Coffield Ridley (Cumming AUSTIN)
MID: Mitchell Mcrae Danger Fyfe Merrett Martin Zorko Dow (Mutch Worpel)
    RUC: Martin Gawn (English Cameron)
FWD: Menagola Gray D.Smith ROCKY Rioli T.Smith (Clarke ZGL)

My trades this week are Lachie Murphy > Logan Austin & Rayner > Rockliff

I am really hoping for some rookies to be brought back in for the next couple of rounds as i had 7 DNP’s this week. The Rookies with any real cash value i have at the moment are English & Dow, i am hoping to use those 2 for downgrade/upgrades in the coming weeks..

  • IMO (and I have all bar Lambert);
    – TT (now Kelly is back)
    – Lambert (maybe for Rocky? Danger Rd 12?)
    – Parker (during his bye?)
    – Neale

  • have gone Doedee to Lloyd and tkelly to mcLean. do I go with mclean or rocky?

    • I would go McClean if you can get him. Waiting for one more game out of Rocky wont destroy you.

I’m worried they will rotate Rocky and Gray a bit between mid and forward. So you might get the odd huge score when one of them gets a lot of mid time.

That being said, they may leave Rocky in the mid because that is where he has been best last few rounds.

      Still McClean though

    • Rocky over McLean imo
The Pig is underpriced (unless he reverts to total consistent spudding which is unlikely). McLean is not.

      • Both have similar BE 70-80.

So both likely to go up around the same price this week.

        McClean last 4: 143, 101, 104, 152
        Rocky last 4: 78,43,127,106.

Not going to hurt seeing one more game out of rocky if your alternative is McClean and you got the money for it.

Just not sold on 2 midfield games being a lock for Rocky. Bare in mind the guy got dropped and scored some pretty horrific scores.

Some valid points though. Rocky may go beast mode and score 130 for the rest of the year.

PS im bringing in Rocky this week haha. But I have McClean

  • Looking to trade Coffield, to either
    1. Austin
    2. Rice.
Would like to pick the one with the best Job security. As I have a handful none playing rookies stinking up the bench, and don’t want another. What do you guys think?

  • RE: The Chosen One

I haven’t heard from The Chosen One since preseason when he graced us with his almighty knowledge of dreamteam and told everyone there teams where shithouse.

So in The Chosen One’s absence I thought I might update people on his team.
League Rank: 16/18 (note 2 teams unchanged since round 1)
Ranking: Not anywhere close to top 10,000.
Capable of fielding a whole team? No

If only he shared his brilliant trade wisdom with us all and we could have also paid 400k for Ah Chee to score 40 like he did.

    Good Luck the Chosen One

    • There are always guys like him around… being good at DT is for doing, not for saying. And it’s fleeting. One year you’re a god, the next year the same strategy dishes you up poo. It happens.

Feel for the guy, as our fortunes are pretty much identical this year. Usually I’m good for top 2000 or so, this year I’m ahead of the 100,000 ghost teams and not much else.

      • Ditto Simon..
I’ve never been great, usually always top 3%, but this year I fluffed it early, played catch up quite well, but the last couple weeks the likes of Hurn, Taranto, Sicily and Kelly playing 20 below their average (among many others) I’ve dropped back big time..

      • Yeah this is my worst season in 10 years. Think my first team was in 2006 but i didnt take it seriously until 2008. Best result was 291 and worst was 13k in that space. 25k overall now but think im set up ok for the byes and will hopefully get that rank up a bit.

        • Worst part is ive taught a mate from work everything i know on how to play the game (second year in, he was around 100k overall last season) and his rank overall is 762 😂 and his side is pretty killer. Just gotta laugh hey, FMDT.

          • Well at least you know what your’e doing, sounds like luck has been against you, I’ve just made some terrible decisions, in hindsight of course..

    • Good stuff thanks for update on that bozo – I think his name was The Chosen Won wasn’t it?

  • Shit week (1938)
Def: Laird, Lloyd, Sicily, Seeds, Doedee, Ridley (Pearce, Naughton)
Mid: Titch, Cogs, Neale, Sidebottom, Gibbs, Merrett, T. Kelly, Banfield (Rocky, Mutch)
    Ruc: Gawn, Martin (Cameron, Mclnerney)
Fwd: D Smith, Heeney, Taranto, Fritsch, Ronke, Gowers (Fog, Spargo)

    which trades:
    A. Gowers > T. Smith, Taranto > Mclean
    B. Gowers > T. Smith, T. Kelly > Zorko
    C. Gowers > T. Smith, Neale > Gaff

  • Play Ronke or t Smith F6?

  • Walters, Brayshaw or Rockliff

    • I’m thinking of doubling down and getting 2 of them in this week and forgo a rookie downgrade..

      • Me too, Alan – I’m seriously tempted to grab two premos this week instead of an upgrade/downgrade … but I know forgoing the tasty cashcow options available is a mistake that I’ll probably regret lol
It’s a reaction to a particularly shitty round this weekend. Topped off by the growing realisation that, again, bloody Billings will probably survive in my team! Just when I had it all beautifully planned out he puts out a sort of decent 89 and Taranto completely disgraces himself for the third week running. He’s gone!
Funny how three days in fantasy-world can change your fortunes and your outlook hey

        • Yeah, tough week for a couple of us, but seems like a lot of others killed it..
For me, the equation is basically Brayshaw +49k, DBJ +85k, Walters +84k or SMITH +364k

      • But if you had to take one, who would it be?? I’m going Coffield to Cogs/Pendles/Selwood, then Kelly to one of those three

  • Fooz

DEF: Laird, Lloyd, Seedsman, Murray, Doedee, Rice (Pearce, Cumming)
MID: Macrae, Titch, Conigs, Ross, Duncan, Zerrett, Kelly, Phillips (Banfield, Mutch)
    Ruck: Gawn, Nankervis (McInerny, Cameron)
FWD: McLean, Heeney, Taranto, Petracca, Fritsch, Rioli (Murphy, ZGL)
    Bank – $344K

Waiting on report of Seedsman’s injury, Taranto’s quad, and whether or not Murray comes back in (Did he play in the Magoos?), so my planned trades might be out the window.

Currently: Kelly > Rocky, and then maybe Banfield to Angus Brayshaw.
