  • Haven’t seen much discussion about Polec. $688K AVG 108, BE 68, ceiling in 150s. How’s everyone rating him?

    • Nabbed him in most of my Draft leagues

    • As a power supporter I’m rating him a’round 10′

ha! see what I did there!

    • Averages can be deceiving sometimes.

Sure it may look great with a 108 average, but look a little closer, he has only gone over 100 twice in six games. That’s not great. That means 1 out of every 3 games you’ll love him, the other 2 weeks you’ll be cursing him.

He hasn’t been bad by any means, with a low of 87. But when you are upgrading, and paying up for a premo, you want someone who should be getting you 100+ every week, not two in the 80’s/90’s followed by a 130-150.

If he shows he can consistently pump out 100’s, then jump on, but to go after him now is just chasing a big game. Keep in mind his 150 last week came with 12 tackles, and lets be honest, Jared Polec is never getting 12 tackles again…

      • Pretty much doubled his career tackle count actually, but he is in career best form.

Playing devil’s advocate though, only 2 players have got a 100+ in every game they’ve played this year. And of the 14 players averaging more than Polec this year, only 3 have a higher lowest score.

At 1.17% ownership, deserves more attention than he’s getting I reckon.

        • Yes, it’s rare to get 100 every week, and unrealistic to expect it.

However, a 33% success rate is below par for a premium…

Just remember only a few weeks ago everyone wanted to trade out Lachie Neale and Adam Treloar because they were ‘only’ getting 90’s. Jared Polec is getting that 2 out of every 3 weeks, currently.

        • If you’re playing the long game and he’s a keeper, then his average is the only number that matters, but in league play those under par weeks could be the difference, and if that’s happening 2 out of 3 then that’s not good..

But again, if you’re doing it for total points for the rest of the year, average is the only number that matters, although I think he may have peeked myself..

  • big dick nigga

  • anyone else wank to the photo of bomber thompson riding his bike??? it just turns me on so much its so sexual

  • Mitch Duncan average this year compared to Matt Crouch and Dayne Beams
    Duncan – ?
    Crouch – ?
    Beams – ?

    • Duncan – 105
      Crouch – 107
      Beams – 106
      Bomber Thompson – 211

      • upon careful consideration, and due to bomber’s consumption of copious amounts of topshelf ‘e’ and ice i have decided to alter the averages.
        Duncan- 114
        Crouch – 112
        Beams – 107
        Bomber – 400

  • DEF: Laird, Lloyd, Ryan, Murray, Coffield, Finlyason (Doedee, Murphy)
MID: Mitchell, Fyfe, Coniglio, Merrett, Whitfield, JOM, Kelly, Holman (Banfield, Barry)
    RUCK: Martin, Gawn (McInerey, Cameron)
FWD: Billings, Heeney, Smith, Taranto, English, Guelifi (Giles-Langdon, Crowden)

    Cash: $132k

Current trades are Holman to Mutch and Coffield (Via Whitfield) to McLean. This only leaves $1k for next week and a fairly week bench with Giles-Langdon (inj), Barry and Murphy struggling with scoring potential and job security issues, thoughts?

    • reports are langdon could play this week x
murphy should be back soon he was playing well before injury

  • hey wyd

  • Taranto V JPK? Who would you prefer overall?

  • If they both miss a week, who would you rather keep, Lids or Hogan?

  • Just putting this out there, Billings to get 127 this week in a bounce back to form!

  • Holman to Ronke and Christensen to Seedsman (Banfield on field) or Parker to Macrae and Holman to Mutch (Coffield on field)

    • Christensen 75 to Seedsman 95-100 is a 20-25 upgrade

      Parker 95-100 to Macrae 115 is a 15-20 upgrade

I’d go with the Seed, feel it’s a bigger upgrade. Parker can score as well as Macrae on his day. Hopefully for your sake he fires soon

  • Blakely or seedsman?

  • Taranto going to be an all year keeper and average 90+? Don’t want to bring him in for near 600k if he’s just a flash in the pan. But think he could be the Clayton Oliver of 2018

    • its too late baby its too late

      • If he keeps going at a 95 average he’s still a good buy. How is it too late?

        • The worry is that in a full team (Kelly, Lids, Scully) his mid time and scoring drop. In this case you’ll probably have to trade. Not clear when/if that will happen, which makes him risky.

I’m seriously considering this week. One thing I’ve noticed, however, is his disposal efficiency is a little lower than I’d like (higher efficiency = more likely to stay in mids IMO). Worlds apart from Lids in this respect.

      • though he really did try to make it

  • Hey give Bomber’s team a geez thanks. Drop a rating (preferably /10 but you decide x) and I shall do the same. Pls leave suggestions on how I can improve. Live long bomber thompson
DEF: Laird, Hurley, Lloyd, Doedee, Murray, Finlayson (Naughton, Murray)
MID: Titch, Cogs, Sidey, Neale, Parker, Zerrett, Kelly, Coff (Mutch, Barry)
RUCk: Gawny, Stef (Big O, Cameron)
FWD: Heeney, McLean, Smith, Taranto, English, Guelfi (Waterman, Gowers)
    25k left

    • you’re stuffed, hawk!

    • Double Down Bomber..

Use the 25k to get in some new gear, cut it down, jack up the price and BOOM you’ve just brought in 100k..

Do that a few times and you can stack your MID 8 uber premiums!!

  • Laird, Savage, Lloyd, Murray Doedee, Finlayson (Pearce, Murphy)
Titch, Cogs, Fyfe, Martin, Neale, Cunico, Kelly, Banfield (Holman, Brayshaw)
    Gawn, Grundy (Framps, Cameron)
Heeney, Billings :(, DevSmith, English, Gelfling, Ratu (Gowers, Crowden)
    Gelf > seed
    holman > mutch

    please give me something better..

  • Zorko is a bargain , shouldn’t get a tag from the Collingwood team

  • DEF: Laird, Simmo, Lloyd, Murray, Doedee, Finlayson (O’Shea, Mirra)
MID: Titch, Gibbs, Neale, Parker, Merrett, Kelly, Coffield, Banfield (Brayshaw, Holman)
    RUC: Gawn, Stef (McInerney, Cameron)
FWD: Heeney, Dev Smith, Billings, Christensen, English, Guelfi (Giles-Langdon, Rioli)

317k in the bank. 1st trade: Holman > Mutch leaves 476k

What is the best for the second trade?
    1. O’Shea > Coniglio, 0k in the bank
    2. Mirra > Seedsman and field ZGL for Guelfi, 92k in the bank
    3. Guelfi > Gray/McLean/Taranto, 69k/115k/173k in the bank

    Cheers :)

  • Pendlebury or Coniglio?

    • I’m actually a big fan of Pendles but both are consistent and brilliant. Probably cogs

  • Need just some opinions from posters on here,

Trade Christensen or English this week?

    • Bundy, he’s just churning out the same score won’t make mch more, English could make a bit more but don’t quote me on that

  • Is anyone holding onto Petracca? Named on a Fwd pocket but surely he won’t score well if his finger nearly got ripped off less than a week ago…?

    • Never had him but if i had held him, I would be dumping him off to a similar priced player on a low break even

    • I upgraded him to Gray last week..

I’d be happy to hold a high priced player (550k+) for a week from suspension, or if they’re a late out or rested, but if they’re not named because of injury I’d be looking to replace them.. A lot of 1 week injuries become 2 as a precaution.

  • laird, savage, tomlinson, doodle, finlayson, coffield (pearce, murray)

mitchell, Danger, coniglio, curnow cripps, kelly, holman Banfield(, Barry, brayshaw)

    gawn, Jacobs (mcinerney, cameron)

Heeney, Taranto, smith, christensen, mclean, English (rioli, rayner)

Got 88k in the bank any thoughts will give me back

Could cash in 2 rookie build the war chest
Bundy and Holman to rookie and Merrett
Bundy Holman to rookie and Seedsman then swing him back next week

  • Finlayson or Coffield at D6???????

  • Is Acres a trade now? He’ll probably only be a week, but only got Waterman and Ratugolea on the bench to cover.

    • Could have worse cover, I’m holding and my cover is ZGL

      • tbh I think ZGL>Waters>Rat for scoring.
ZGL was on 33 when he was injured and was going for 75 or so.
Waterman has some ceiling but isn’t consistent.
Rat will be impacted with Zac Smith (an actual ruck) back.

    • Okay, so leaning towards getting rid of him and getting Mutch (put McLean in the forward line). That then gives me enough to go O’Connor to Zerrett (putting Seedsman in defence) and gives me cover in the back (if Coffield is playing).

    • i’m trading. hasn’t been performing as much as i hoped, and most likely won’t be a top 6 forward

  • Bont and Heeney
    Treloar and Ronke

Bont will stay in the mid more as Bevo indicated so should be a good bargain now. Heeney looks to have regained his form and Sydney have a good run ahead.

Treloar’s form is excellent but there are questions about Adams back in and some injury niggles. Ronke is dangerous and could lose his spot soon.

    • I think you have argued your own preferred inclusions – and I would say you’re on the money!

  • Which trade option to do?

Billings —> Zerrett (via McLean) and Acres —> Mutch (via Crowden) with $546,000 in bank and Waterman as F6.
Acres —> Zerrett (via McLean) and O’Connor —> Mutch (via Seedsman) with $179,000 in bank and Billings as F6.

    • Acres at least won’t lose you money this week. Going pretty well if Billings is your F6. 2 sounds good, though it sounds like you have plenty of options. You should maybe double upgrade?

    • I wouldn’t be trading out 2 of your higher priced players in the 1 round.. They’re priced like that for a reason and have potential to top 100.

I’d also be moving on from O’Connor (I have to hold him at least another week unfortunately) ASAP.

      So yeah, 2nd option easy

  • acres to taranto / pendlebury / gaff / menegola / mclean

really like the look of gaff. huge pod, and feel this is his year to become an uber premium, even if playing off the wing. he is taking full advantage of the wide optus stadium, and they play there nearly every second week. lowest score of 92 so far this year, and a 3 round average of 113. if the eagles can continue in this form, gaff should push top 10 mids my year’s end. not sure of taranto and menegola’s role after their teams have full strength midfields, but taranto still shows value and menegola could still possibly become a top 6 forward. mclean or pendlebury would obviously be the safest options, but show no benefits of ceiling or value. 1k of getting treloar btw!

would love to hear your thoughts, cheers

    • Gaff will struggle in a game that is scrappy and contested, he will score well at Optus (provided he never receives a tag – perhaps Shuey most likely candidate) but I can’t see him being top 10, though he does have favourable bye.

Pendles the best and most consistent of those

      • +1

Gaff is a lot like Duncan.. Outside runner with an elite motor and kick and Weagles love it in his hands moving forward, but he doesn’t tackle much, so I don’t think he’ll ever be in that Top tier category for a MID until he does

  • 1. Billings up to Macrae
    2. Brayshaw (freo) to R Gray
    3. Brayshaw to Seedsman/top defender

    • i’m staying away for gray atm, and hoping he drops in price after his bye. billings needs to go, but i think seedsman is showing the best value atm, and id go option 3

  • Thoughts appreciated……………

    DEF: Laird,Simpson,Lloyd,Doedee,Murray,Finlayson(Naughton,Pearce)
    MID: Mitchell,Coniglio,Gibbs,Sidebottom,Danger,Parker,T.Kelly,Coffield(Banfield,Brayshaw)
    RUC: Gawn,Jacobs(McInerney,Cameron)
    FWD: Heeney,Billings,English,Fritsch,Waterman,Gowers(Guelfi,Rioli)
    $170k in the bank

Forward line is woeful and weak but trying to generate enough cash to do anything !!
    Currently looking at :
    Leaves $100k
    Leaves $249k

  • Who to field: Waterman or Langdon

    • I think toss a coin..

Waterman, with Kennedy and Darling in, is left alone more, but Cats gave up a few points to small forwards last week..

  • Best FWD rookie?

  • has guelfi been rested or ommitted?

  • best option to bring in out of Dangerfield, Duncan, Beams, Crouch?

  • DEF: Laird, Lloyd, Hibberd Doedee, Finlayson, Murray(Pearce, Naughton.
MID: Danger, Titch, Martin, cogs, Parker, Merrett T Kelly Holman(banfield Poholke)
RUC: Big Sauce, Gawn (Cameron McInerney)
FOR: Heeny, Billings, Smith, English,Higgins, Guelfi, (Rayner Henry)

Need some advice on two trades I have $217k thoughts appreciated!

  • First trade Holman > Ronke via DPP
    Thoughts on second trade either:
    1. English > Taranto (leaves $28K for next week)
    2. Christensen > Taranto/McLean (leaves $64k/$6K)

    Thanks in advance!
