AFL Teams 2016: Round 15 – Bye 3

Byes: Brisbane Lions, Fremantle, Geelong, GWS Giants, Hawthorn and North Melbourne

5:00pm Friday 01/07/2016

Sunday extended bench selections for Dees vs Crows are in! The main out is Jack Trengove (Mid) for dees, who many picked up in RDT. There are no changes to the crows lineup.

6:30pm Thursday 30/06/2016

Remaining weekend teamsheets are in! We have one debutante with a famous surname Jack Silvagni (Fwd $125,000 DT $121,300 DT) for the blues. Early flier Jason Johannisen (Def) is back for Dogs, and another def POD option Kade Kolodjashnij (Def) is in as well. Rookie priced option Tom Lee (Def) continues to yoyo in and out of the saints line up, and dogs youngster Clay Smith (Fwd/Mid $176,000 AF $233,800 DT) is in after a serious injury last year.
Not too much carnage in the out list with Josh Wagner (Knee) , Sam Gray (Omitted), Trent McKenzie (Quad), Josh Dunkley (Omitted), Jonathon Marsh (Calf)

6:30pm Wednesday 29/06/2016

Partial lockout Thursday teamsheets are in. Somewhat DT relevant Scott Lycett (Ruck/Fwd) is back from the wilderness, and for those who held Matt Dea (Def) for bombers for whatever reason, he’s back. Mitchell Brown (Def $183,000 AF $138,500 DT ) only listing because of his price and lack of Def rookies. As a Key Position defender and previous year averages of 40 personally I’d skip.

6:00pm Wednesday 29/06/2016

Thursday game Eagles vs Dons teamsheets named soon. Partial lockout this week, so make sure you have made any trades involving Eagles or Dons players before the game Thursday night, with only a brief window from ~6:30pm Thursday to see remaining round teams, and dont forget to have your VC loopholes set up.
News during the week is Michael Barlow is out for about a month with a finger injury. Its his Bye this week so if you think that is too long to hold, now is a good week to trade.

sloane
Rory Sloane ($562,000 Mid. be 89 AF $596,700 be 99) has been in amazing form with a 3 game average of 128.7, and with only 7% ownership (AF) he is quite the POD. He hasnt quite filled the shoes of the missing Dangerfield with some below standard scores this year, but the crows are flying at the moment into finals contention. Jump on if you want something a bit different in your midfield.

broad
Can anyone remember the preseason? If you do, you may remember that Nathan Broad (Def $138,000 AF $121,300 DT) was sitting on a lot of our def benches. He was a late inclusion last week and has kept his spot this week, giving us a much needed def downgrade option. As like all late season rookie inclusions, Job Security is an issue.

monty
Last week I put Nick Riewoldt on the watchlist and with a great 116 could easily again, however Im going with cheaper option Leigh Montagna (Mid/Fwd $491,000 AF be 112 $492,100 be 79) who having a crazy low 36 a couple of weeks ago has dropped to a very nice price. He has scored well with the odd off game this year, but is a great forward option at a great price.

csmith
A couple of years ago Clay Smith (Mid/Fwd $176,000 AF $233,800 DT) burst into the dogs team, this kid is a dead set gun. Only reason to be wary is he has been very unlucky with knee injuries. Watch and see how his first game back goes. Or take the punt that he bursts back again.

As a side note, good to see Jason Johannisen (Def) back into the team who was only just pipped for my watchlist this week.

silv
Debuts are rare this late in the season, and with a fair bit of hoorah (mostly because of his father) we see Jack Silvagni (Fwd $125,000 AF $121,300 DT). If heritage is anything to go by he will be a gun, however unless you really need a cheap fwd downgrade I’d wait one week to see his role.

Shags’ Watchlist

zerret
Zach Merrett (Fwd/Mid $563,000 be 111 $ 586,700 be 119) has been a revelation this year in DT. He is on my watchlist this game because if for some reason he isn’t already in your team, he looks to be one of if not the best option for the VC loophole this week, and a good replacement for Barlow to boot.

  • So glad about now didnt go with the hype and got z merret instead of montagna and vc’ d him!!

  • JJK needs a monster second half ! Eagles playing f#@n useless!

  • Any news on how long Wagner is out for?

  • Toi soon to bring in Johannisen?

    • Can afford to have a look at him for a week and see how he settles in. Tough game this week and a high breakeven.

  • Who should I get in Gibbs/Lewis/Hunter?

  • Hanners and Phillips or Riewoldt and Silvagni?

  • Currie to Clay Smith (via Frost)
    OR
    Tucker to Broad

    $35k difference

    • Clay Smith
Tucker to Broad will give you some cash but less job security as Tucker is nearly guaranteed to play out the year where as Broad will always be on the verge of being dropped any week

      • Cheers. other trade is Blakely to Parker which leaves $48k – would’ve liked a bit more!

Tucker still on the chopping block either way

most likely Barlow to Monty next week

made a mistake not putting Hams as emg tonight, now with max 18 i’ll have to keep his score

        • let Tucker plat Melb next week then ideal time to trade as maxed out
Blakely still has cash and will benefit from Barlow out
Barlow to Monty is good trade. Monty at good value. I brought him in for KStewart as my other trade this week

  • Very happy with deciding on Gaff instead of Zerrett at last minute allowing me to keep Rich and trade Currie instead. 120points with 4minutes left, do I take his VC loophole or back in Titchel or GAJ?

  • Take Piddis 115 in Supercoach or go Ablett, Hannebery or Gawn?

  • Oh my god…this morning im in sight of top 1k overall…gonna have twenty on field this week and alls swell…tonight i have a deleted team cause they woildnt let me reverse my jono marsh trade as i had used dpp to swap walla from def to fwd bench…yes the dummy spit of all time as i would of still had 19 on field but was so pissed off i just did it!!! Oh and a suspended driver wrote my car off today beibg the reason i didnt reverse trades prior to partial lockout…what a shite day…good luck all for rest of season…i will catch you all next year…

    • Try emailing them and asking if they can restore your team. I remember deleting my team accidentally a couple years ago and they restored it

      • Umm Leeroy. He doesn’t want his team back mate ! He’s done….

        • Did you read his name? ‘Oh No What Have I Done’

          • Thanks Leeroy…have sent an email but dont blame them if they dont restore…was a stupid thing to do…what happened was nothing compared to all those whose season was ruined round 1 through no fault of their own.

          • Haha yeah I was one of those. I’m grateful for the DT boys starting the comp to win $500. That was dodgy as hell….saying it was our fault because our teams were incomplete even though there was a term in terms and conditions that teams would be auto filled. Then that term mysteriously disappeared from the website and was still found in the app terms…..anyways hope they restore your team. If it’s possible for them to do it I don’t see why they wouldn’t. It can’t hurt anyone

          • Cheers Leeroy….all sysytems go…mainly happy cause my brain fade hasnt caused a ghost ship in any leagues….

  • Mixed night for me. Ashby 34, Zaha 50, Kelly 119, Merrett 123. I have the V on Merrett. I’m satisfied with his score for the loophole so that means Rocky gets the C again ;)

  • Any way of reversing a trade in RDT ? Thought it was a partial lockout ? WTF ?

  • Who all is taking the Merrett loophole?

  • A bit annoyed I didn’t do Barlow to Merrett last night. I was too conscious of the extra cash

    Monty + 70k vs Merrett

He’s 23% owned. I wonder what % of the top 1000 teams have him, probably closer to 40%?!?!

  • So some how last night my team was reset after i have made my trades and subbed all the necessary players off the bench onto the field. Has this happened to anyone else?! Was ranked 103 overall before last week and dropped to around 500 but no doubt this has absolutely fucked me.
