AFL Teams 2016: Round 10

No late changes Swans and Roos. Lockout 7:50pm.

5:15pm Friday 27/05/2016

Sunday extended benches are in. Confirmation that Thomas Cole (Def/Mid $163,000 AF $121,300 DT) will debut for Eagles. Remember Josh Dunkley (Mid. $201,000 AF $ 121,300 DT), he made the cut, is on the bubble for DT and could be a sneaky downgrade option.

6:15pm Thursday 26/05/2016

Round 10 teams are out!
Collective sigh of relief for many teams with Gary Ablett, Aaron Hall, Matthew Boyd, Daniel Wells, Michael Barlow and Matthew Suckling all ins this week! Still no sign of Rocky or Laird.
A few rookie priced outs with Connor Menadue, Jayden Short, Tim Mohr, Daniel Menzel, Daniel Currie, Darcy MacPherson, Kaiden Brand, Billy Evans, Clayton Oliver, Aaron Mullett.
MacPherson is particularly painful as mant just got him in and he has a nasty knee injury and was looking the goods. A few POD premos are out with Elliot Yeo, Andrew Gaff, David Mundy and Jack Billings.
There are a couple of new rookie choices to look at this week. Nothing at this stage of the year seems to have geat Job Security.

Shags’ Watchlist

doch
Sam Docherty (Def $507,000 AF $ 540,800 RDT) has been outputting some impressive DT stats this year with a last 3 round average of 117.3. Especially in RDT looks to have gone into the defender premium status. A good option for those who are looking to complete their backlines. His form does seem to ebb and flow with the overall form of the blues.

dunkley
This one is for the Real Dreamteamers. Blessing from the DT gods, little to none downgrade options on the bubble, and all of a sudden we have a rookie blast from the past with Josh Dunkley (Mid. $201,000 AF $ 121,300 be -53 DT). His JS is a tad shakey and you also have Jacob Hopper as an expensive option, but he could be good as a cheaper rookie option.

cole
With the handy Def/mid status Thomas Cole (Def/Mid $163,000 AF $121,300 RDT) is a solid defender rookie from Bendigo. JS is a tad shakey, but with a few outs could hold position for a few weeks and as always if they playe well will have a chance to stay.

buddy
It has been pointed out to me that Buddy Lance Franklin (Fwd $495,000 AF be 95 $520,700 be 112) has been doing something this year that he is not famous for. He has been very consistent. His lowest score is 86 and highest is 110. We all know that Buddy can go huge, its the fact he hasnt gone really low that makes him look a decent fwd option.

math
Rhys Mathieson (Mid. $169,000 AF $ 121,300 DT) did ok with 59 on debut. With rookie options drying up, the best I can say about Rhys is he looked likely best 22 start of year but only missed out due to injury.

robb
Robbie Gray (Mid/Fwd or Mid DT $497,000 AF be 120 $489,000 DT be 106) came straight into the team for Port and smashed out a 111. More an option in AF due to his forward status. Hes basically a midfielder with high ceiling sitting in your forward line. What is not to like…oh yeah he can have an off game every now and again.

steven
How juicy as a fallen premium does Jack Steven (Mid. $527,000 be 98 $532,600 be 78)look! Coming off a 138 last week, but dropped in value due to a couple of lowish scores of 58 and 83. I’d say these are outliers, so get on board!

zerret
If you haven’t already jumped on, get on board the Zach Merrett (Fwd/Mid. $562,000 be 103 $586,700 be 97) Train. He has more than proven that he is a top fwd option, scaring a few away after a low 66 a few weeks ago, he has been a main ball magnet at the bombers this year and that doesn’t look like changing.

cogs
If Stephen Coniglio (Mid. $570,000 be 85 $610,200 be 106) was at a major club, Im sure more than the crazy low 2.44% of teams would own him. He has a staggering 5 round average of 121.6. He is absolutely pigging it at the moment. Hes already pricey, but he could we be the new pig and auto captain choice the way he is playing.
