Official AFL Injury List: Ahead of Round 5

#7 draft pick Josh Caddy is another dude who can work on his sun tan with Coad as he will miss the next 6-8 with a foot problem, he might just be a nice future down grade target. Nick Suban snapped his peg and will miss 8 weeks, opening more room for Freo youngesters. Essendon have been cruising this year and have now lost Courtenay Dempsey and Jason Winderlich who both busted their knees… will we see Michael Hipperd this week? Young Lion, Ryan Lester could be finished for the year as he had scans recently that revealed a buggered ligament in his foot.

The biggest news is that Dean Cox and Adam Goodes will also miss a week!!!

  • You wally Calvin! Nearly had a heart attack when I saw Cox and Goodes.

  • calvin funny

  • I think we will see a lot more players with Mitch Duncans condition this year- nice 1 Calvin :)

  • Ben jacobs- possible down grade target???

    • For sure- after he racks up 2 games before his price goes up, great replacement for Duigan!!!

      • Im thinking a replacement for bewick to get a good link with dpp.

        • Don’t you have Heppell? And I only used Duigan as an example as his leading the defenders cash cow race to peak first

          • True got Heppel, he is in my backline atm though, so didnt think about him as my link haha. Multi bye rounds make my team look so wierd compared to the normal line up.

    • Reckon he will play for the Port Magpies for a couple of weeks first

  • thx for the heads up, feeling lucky so far the main injury’s that plagued me so far this year have been b4 rd 1 :D

  • Great to see B.Jacobs as a test!
Haha Calvin with the “getting closer,” comment on Mzungu.

  • Myers a broken scaphoid? It might as well by typhoid. He’s soft. Didak played with ripped pecs

  • hello Calvin, new to the web site anyway im think about getting rid of Gamble (of course) and Lower and getting Jack riewoldt and Toy with some extra cash I have, whats your thoughts.

    • Sorry everyone I meant all your thoughts

      • be careful with jack riewoldt he may have gone down in price but he may stay down with the form he is in, id say keep lower and get rid of gamble

      • Don’t think j riewoldt is a good move as he will prob avg 80 which will include some really high and low scores. I would be hesitant trading lower out as I think he will play again and go up in price

      • Will Jack Volt be consistent is the question!

    • lower will play this week. suban out, lower in

      • isnt suban a defender and lower an on baller???

        • Well surely he can play in defense being named as a defender but I imagine they’ll throw Ibbo back and sub Lower

  • Josh Drummond
He is travelling along really well. He’s got another two training sessions to complete this week, and if he gets through those then he’ll play this week.

    just sayin

    • if he does come back l wonder if adcocks role will change….could have a negative impact on his scoring

      • Can’t be worse than useless broughton

      • If it wasn’ts for the fact that i already have adcock i would be very sceptical of him as Brisbanes prefered starting 6 could have a very drastic effect on all of Brisbanes backs scoring abilities especially with the impending return of maguire as well

  • Pav Dawes or Fyfe??

  • The injury curse has hit big time.

Bad start to the year, i had Connors, so last week traded in Suban. Fantastic!!!!!

Coad does his hammy. Leaving me with a bench of Lower, Pedersen and Puoplo.

Big decision this week. Pray that Krakouer plays and doesn’t lose his spot to ‘The Hard Man” Dick.

Hate to think i will have no way out of a donut since i have Goodes, Darling and Tapscott out with the stupid multi bye.

Saving grace is that i have $141 100 in the bank.

Im thinking of trading in Rob Murphy. But there are other options but will leave me no cash for a trade to get atleast a decent trade for Coad. Fingers crossed North and the Hawks do their part in what could be a very, very, very ordinary Round 5.

Whats the consensus on Broadie Smith Vs Andy Otten. Have not seen any of the Crows games this year.(Dont get me started on the Foxtel rip-off) But will see them get a 8 goal loss to the MIghty Blues!!!!!! Gibbs for the big C this week.

  • wow i had heard nothing about Lester’s injury before this, thnaks guys.

probably just trade him out for someone like Toy

  • who should i trade coad out for
    brodie smith or grimes
or should i keep him until he returns

  • Thank god Jolly isn’t on the list. He better play in their game this week

  • Jacobs has reportedly lost a fair bit of weight so it might be a while before we see him in AFL colours, but I cant wait.

  • I would like to thank everyone on this site for the information you provide. There isn’t a great deal of DT information out there, and I need a lot of help. I am American, and not really familiar with your code of football, know nothing of your players, and sometimes I have no idea what you’re even talking about

I watched a few of your footy matches online last season, and since our football is what you would call ‘rubbish’ I thought I’d give DT a try. I signed up a couple of days before the first Rnd 1 game and picked many of my players based on your collective recommendations. I’m having a great time with it so far, and appear to be relatively competitive so thanks again to all, and best of luck with your teams.

  • Lower Or B Smith

  • Guys, I need your help.

Here’s a run down of my current situation:
    Team Name: Clayton Cunce
    Ranking: 28,774
    Trades Left: 19
    Rem. Salary Cap: 143, 800
DEF: Enright, Goddard, Deledio, Shaw, Heppell, Duigan, Lower, McKernan, R.Tarrant, Coad.
MID: Swan, Gibbs, Boyd, Bartel, Curnow, Swallow, Harris, A. Krakouer, Foley
    RUC: Cox, Sandilands, Smith, McCauley
FWD: Goodes, Franklin, Rioli, N. Riewoldt, Knights, Darling, Tapscott, Petrie, Richardson, Matera

I’m traveling quite well but this Coad injury has upset the apple-cart a touch (I’m sure a lot of people are in the same situation). With my gaze firmly fixed on winning my league I’d love to hear your thoughts on this move.

Swap Foley for Liberatore (a week late I know). Then swap Coad for either Grimes (leaving me with a poultry $100) or Adcock (giving me a tad over $40k to play with).

    • Id wait until teams are announced and IF you have to trade out foley id see if mitch wallis is named and thal will make you another 90 odd k. then you could even go for gram or another higher priced player. but its up to you.
