*Injury list as provided by club on April 8, 2011

  • Does Phil Davis’ injury improve Brodie Smith’s job security? Considering Broughton to Smith this week for some extra dough.

    • Smith is more of a midfielder than a tall defender like Davis. Smith has done enough to stay though

  • i have no cash in the bank so…

    a) Green to Fyfe and then Irons to Curnow

    b) J Tippett to Z. Smith (loss dpp link with petrie)

  • Look at Chicken Schnitzel… interesting if he doesn’t get up… especially at Aurora Stadium – where he loves it and has a great record against the Eagles. Would have hated to trade him in last week.

    Mitchell (hamstring tightness) – test

    • he does it every time!…..ill never have mitchell again cause he is the player that is a late withdrawal the most with tightness…..either that or bursting out the gates for a 40pt first qtr then goes missing to end up on 98

    • Pretty sure someone rang in to SEN spruiking the benefits of trading in S. Mitchell… epic fail

  • No silly buggers this week Vin? or did I not look hard enough

  • Been more than handy the first couple of games. Mitchell. But what can you do family first, and if he does have a hamstring problem hopefully they dont give him another week off before his bye.

    • Of course… just someone in our cash league (worth $3000) sideways traded Montagna to Mitchell. Late withdrawal and a test for this week (not to mention the Round 6 bye). Not the greatest BUY ever. Could be a decision that could cost people the car or even cash!

      • Is this individual going to be making a comeback on DT Talk with improved behaviour in the near future?

        • We’ll discuss at the next DT TALK board meeting. Agenda item #27.

          • lol, he has commented in his ‘challenge’ league he will be back sometime soon so hopefully the board approves such a move

          • Brappin, we know how much you want him back… judging by your comments. Even ones from different accounts! ;) IP addresses are interesting things… haha! (by the way, ‘tkol’ is a term that is pushed for moderation).

Submitted on 2011/04/12 at 6:39 pm

Seems a tad dull and boring without the old tkol razzing things up- pity he carried on too much, he was quite entertaining at times!!

          • Warnie, Crocop = my house mate champ (and a tkol fan), he is allowed on here isn’t he??

          • Haha. Of course… kinda looks fishy though… ;) I believe you, but many wouldn’t… weird communication going on between you two when I do a comment search. Haha.

          • Reality is people can think what they want, I don’t see him making many comments anyway on this site (not into his DT as much as me) he thinks it’s funny that I’d be caught up in a double accounts “furore” to begin with…people use to say tkol/eepo and myself were all the same person…pity no IP address check was conducted then to set the record straight.

          • Because nobody cares. We are 30 year old blokes. Teachers at that… and do you think we want to deal with ‘kid’ stuff all day… even on our site? The answer to that is a big no!

That is just more and more the reason we don’t need people on here being knobs.

            Move along.

          • Didn’t know you taught mate. I’m a secondary teacher, I’m betting you are too.

          • Yep, Maths/PE for me. Calvin is a primary school teacher and Roy is a PE teacher. Believe it or not, Chop educates tomorrows leaders too. ;)

          • i met warnie at put put golf :p

      • This Kind Of Lousy trade is just a reminder that even the self proclaimed best dream teamers can make stupid mistakes aswell

        • A couple of weeks ago I warned him to watch out for the big fall. Didn’t listen. Generally people with the loudest voices have the lowest IQ.

      • Sometimes you just have to stick to the golden rules… don’t sideways trade premiums… Especially not Montagna! He’ll probably crack out a 150 this weekend.

  • does anyone reckon toy will be in for campbell brown this week? I know its not an injury but its an out ;)

    • a.

    • Yeah, I’d trade Green to Fyfe and then Irons to Curnow… oh wait… ah Toy. Yes I’m hoping he gets a run, but not now hopefully in a few more weeks I want him to be my downgrade target.

  • Three rounds in and my DT hasn’t been affected by injuries yet. I wonder how long that’ll last. In other news, as an Adelaide supporter, I’m disgusted for a second year running at how much bad luck we’re having with injuries. I can live without Porps but injuries to Davis, Doughty, Douglas, Vince, Sloane and McKay just make me angry. Hrmph.

    • Agreed! not sure who’s killed a black cat down there at west lakes before rnd 1 a virtually fit squad now we might see aa few more players make their debut. Sam Wright anyone?

    • well its funny (well not really) but everyone was going on about how adelaide were injury free this year and what happens… they all go down. Must be something craig does to them. Too much of a fitness nut

      • The Swans I think were first in claiming preseason management of players to avoid injuries. There may be truth to overload of preseason build up. Could also be bad luck.

  • Hopefully Ibbotson is back from injury and this leaves Broughton more freedom on the ground…giving the bloke another week to prove himself. Course they might not slot Ibb back in team straight away.

  • Just read about possible Adelaide inclusions this week. Interesting to see if Talia gets a gurnsey in a few weeks.

On a brighter note I added together the average of all my dt players for this week and it comes in at 2043 (Swan as two) with Goddard, Monty, Boyd, Higgins, Obrien, Bewick, N. Reiwoldt missing. I thought it would be like 1800. I am happy to leak 100-200 on 1st place and save my trades I reckon.

I have been unaffected by injuries so far, aside from the annoying Mzungu and Callinan pre season injuries, I really don’t think they appreciate the DPP inconvenience they put us through with them getting injured. ;-)

  • was i dreaming or did i see, somewhere, sometime that Derickx has some sort of injury??

    • Yeah earlier in the year he had one and is coming back, thought I heard commentators talking about it.
