The news for today…

The Saints have made us happy today stating that Lenny Hayes, Michael Gardiner and Zac Dawson will return this week. It’s probably not good news for people with Crows players, but Clinton Jones will also return after his late withdrawal last week. I’m aiming to to read too much into the afl.com.au headline that said “Saints top up on talent, but some may rest“. Fingers crossed none of the big guns will rest!

Essendon Captain Jobe Watson is in doubt for the clash against the Bulldogs. He is named as a 50/50 chance because of an ankle injury.

For those with James Podsiadly and Josh Hunt, Plan B will need to come into effect now. They have accepted their two and one match bans respectively. Leigh Brown is challenging his ban, so stay tuned for the result of that.

Finally, Ben Cousins trained well today and looks almost certain to take his place in his final game this weekend.

Good work boys – I have scoured afl website to no avail…

Does anyone have news on Col Sylvia and ROK? I heard Col was a late withdrawal with a virus and should be right but havent heard anything on ROK.

Any inside info?

Also, i bet that Hodgey is named this week and is a late withdrawal!

  After watching OWAAT last night, I came away thinking Hodgey won’t play. It will be interesting. I was talking to Roy last night thinking that if Carlton beat Freo on Friday night, they might make their decision on whether to play Hodgey on that.

    I have hitchcock as fwd reserve for either ROK or COL. Hopefully they both come up and he stays on the pine….!!
    
    Hodgey is the one that worries me and could be the difference between winning and loosing – I see what you mean Warnie, it could be the difference of a trip to Perth or not, I have Hunt and Crameri as reserves. Obviously Hunt is now out and I dont want my GF hinging on Crameri (he’ll probably bust out an 80 odd knowing my luck).
    
    I just have this feeling Hodge will be a late withdrawal, HAWKS if he’s out, name him out ffs!

Hey guys i have two options

1) who should i trade out of shaw/hargrave/carrots my other defenders are enright,malceski,hodge and waters(goddard in the middle already). I can get any defender i want.

2) who should i trade out of Gia,Rok and brown. My other current forwards are pav,harvey,goodes and stevie j. i can get any forward i want and i am leaning towards didak/chappy.

For all this to happen i need hodge,rok and pav to play.

On top of Gumbleton, Tarrant (probably), Armstrong, Gysberts, Sheppard, Hunt and Pods, now I have Hodge and Watson to worry for! Might be down to 20 men this week!
