identical backline to mine in terms of structure, except I’ve gone for an alternative to Day.
Mid looks the goods, I’m weary of going all 3 sheed, worpel and callaghan but if 1 fails, ill be one step closer to winning that Hilux.
R1 2 and 3 are the same as me and the fwds arent too bad, JHF needs to average 85 to be worth it in my books but will have every opportunity. Good luck indeed.
Gday lads thoughts on my team,Feedback would be much appreciated

Your team is okay, but I have to question Day and Mclean. I think one has to be certain Day will continue to get a high percentage of CBA’s through out the season imo. I would have like to have seen McLean do better in the practice game before selecting him. Many were put off by it. He won’t be part of the main mid-field brigade going on what occurred in the practice game.
Anyone else not able to log in to Fantasy just now? ‘Unable to process, Try again later’ etc
yeah mate couldn’t log on at all
Same. Keep getting that message
Hi all
Can someone please explain to me how the extra substitution works? Once a player is subbed out is he unable to come back on? Is there a risk that some rookies may be a sub and only come on for 1 quater and lose cash? Is there any speculation on how coaches may use the rule? Thank you
The sub is named from the four emergencies about an hour before the game. Once the sub is made, the player going off is out of the game. Yes, there is a huge risk that rooks may be the sub and just come on for a quarter. That is why you need to pick rooks named on-field or on the bench in round 1, not in the emergencies. It also means a player is likely to do three-quarters of a game and go off, which is also not ideal. I know that there is speculation at the Pies that they will run with Cameron and Cox splitting the ruck duties, and then around three-quarter time call in the sub to replace one of them. Haven’t heard much from other teams, but likely to be similar to last year, although this year, they don’t have to pretend to be injured. Fresh legs to finish the game, but not good for the Fantasy scoring of the sub or the player subbed off. Obviously, injuries can change sub plans.
Any thoughts on my team would be great. thanks

Can’t fault it. As always have a back up plan ready in case some of the low price rooks don’t play
Does Pedlar have JS?
Yes. Best to keep him on your bench though. He won’t score big.
don’t think he has a good JS. One bad game or diff opposition matchups and he could be out of squad. McAdam, Rachele, Rankine and Keays before him as smaller fwds.
He is a F7/8 option
Have Laird but who do people think will be the next best player this year. (mids)
currently have Neale, am I crazy in thinking Bont and Petracca will outscore Oliver and Macrea respectively?
The problem with Neale is that he is too good. He is the number one tag target at the Lions. That is why Dunks will score so well. Nobody will tag him while Neale is around. When he is not tagged, Neale is superb, so he has a good ceiling. However, when they tag him, it’s a hard tag. I think it will be much the same as last year, with Brayshaw, Oliver and Mills making up the top four. Petracca is too inconsistent. Bont and Macca are susceptible to being Bevo’d. The best Bulldog this year will be Bazheadbutt; he was going great guns until he had his brain fart last year. I think he will learn from that and get back to pre-fart scoring. The other player who could enter the top 8 is Brodie. Steele and Zerrett will also be solid contenders.
OK Shagbaggers Team reveal (thoughts?).
Doch, Dawson, Yeo, Constable, Gibney, Chesser (Cowan, Wilmot)
Laird, Brayshaw, Macrae, Worpel, Callaghan, Ashcroft, MacKenzie, Philips (Holland, Long)
Marshall, Darcy (McAndrew)
Dunks, Tanto, Rozee, Gulden, Bruhn, Sheezel (Greene, Pedlar)
Utility: Phillipou
Biggest concern is Bruhn, but I reckon he can easily be replaced with a player like phillipou if he spuds.
Also I know having a rookie like Chesser on field is a concern, but Im hoping for an inflated score vs North.
I hope this doesn’t end up as double reply. I replied to it earlier but it didn’t go through.
It is a strong team Shags. Bruhn should be okay if he isn’t at some point required to play as as a small forward,
Hi All
Advice on the following:
Mid – Laird, Oliver, Brayshaw, Steele, Sheed, Worpel, Ashcroft, Mackenzie,
(Phillipou, Phillips & Cincotta)
Ruc – L Jackson, S Lycett & $196k
or
Mid – Laird, Oliver, Brayshaw, F Callaghan, Sheed, Worpel, Ashcroft, Mackenzie,
(Phillipou, Phillips & Cincotta)
Ruc – T English R Marshall & $290k
Thoughts
Cheers
English Marshall much better
Although the change in coach (and Whitfield back to his role) I’m thinking of picking Cumming at D2. A unique that I have confidence in, just a few question marks atm. Any thoughts
McCluggage a good unique pick?
McCluggage or Kelly?
Hey lads, would love advice on which of these structures to play (Yes option 1 may look better but less cash gen and weaker defence)
Def: Doch, Young/McGrath (D2 tbc), Yeo, Constable, Gibney, Chesser
Mid: Laird, Macrae, Kelly, Bont, Callaghan, rooks etc
(1k leftover)
or
Def: Doch, Young, McGrath, Yeo, Gibney, Chesser
Mid: Merrett, Macrae, Kelly, Sheed, Callaghan, rooks etc
(8k left and better projected score even though I have Sheed and no Laird – the stronger def helps, plus would have more cash gen with Sheed).
Which line up of mids is the best option?
1 – Brayshaw, Oliver, Macrae, Kelly, Callaghan, Ashcroft, Mackenzie, Phillips
2 – Laird, Brayshaw, Macrae, Kelly, Callaghan, Ashcroft, Mackenzie, Phillips
3 – Laird, Brayshaw, Oliver, Green, Worpel, Ashcroft, Mackenzie, Phillips
Maybe even McCluggage instead of Kelly? Please let me know your thougths!
Forgot to add option 4 – Laird, Brayshaw, Oliver, LDU, Callaghan, Ashcroft, Mackenzie, Phillips
On what you have said without knowing the rest of your team, I would choose 1 or 2 simply because there is one less mid-price player. On the other hand maybe 3 to free up cash to strengthen other lines if you feel it is required.
Any fanatics keen on a 3-5-1-3/6 draft this afternoon at 2pm AEST (12pm in the west) ? 10 teams – 20 rounds – 1 winner ☝🏼🫵🏼 League Code is LCKRJHNU, join away!!
Greene and mclean or
Gulden and callgahan
Which Greene? I will assume Toby, not Fergus. I doesn’t really matter because McLean is really not an option. Gulden and Callaghan will score more points and gain more $.
I ment tom green but thanks
Huge fan of having Tom Green; McLean – not so much. I have Green, Gulden and Dirty Harry.

Who will score better N Daicos or McGrath?
DEF: Doc, Sicily, Yeo, Constable, Ginbey, Cowan (Wilmot,Chesser)
MID: Steele, Miller, Merrett, Macrae, Callaghan, Ashcroft, Mackenzie, Phillips (Davey,Roberts)
RUC: English, Marshall (Moyle)
FWD: Dunks, Cogs, Taranto, Flanders, Sheezel, Phillipou (Greene, Pedlar)
UTL: Long
9k left
Strong team although you have a lot of $200k rooks on the bench. Just have a backup plan, you may have to drop a premo if those rooks don’t play.
Flanders is a interesting POD. He only has to average in the low 70’s to make some good cash.
DEF: Doc, Daicos, Yeo, Day, Constable, Ginbey (Wilmot,Cowan)
MID: Macrae, Jelly, LDU, Warner, Worps, Ashcroft, Mackenzie, Phillips (Cincotta,Roberts)
RUC: Marshall, Draper (Mcandrew)
FWD: Dunks, Taranto, Rozee, Gulden, JHF, Sheez (Greene, Long)
UTL: Chesser
86k left would love some suggestions
mmmmm, Draper at R2 doesn’t look good, but you’ve got a decent spread apart from that..
i’ve talked myself out of Day for now, used the $$ to upgrade elsewhere, maybe you could do this with Draper??
Day down to Chesser & put Cowan on the field, then get Draper up to ROB??
Def: docherty, Dawson, yeo, constable, cowan, ginbey (Chesser, Wilmot)

Thoughts asap before round 1!
not sure how much $$ you have in the bank, but i’d keep a watch on the teams for Jackson being named.. i’ve been eyeing of Darcy at R2, but need to see a couple games with the setup for 2 rucks before making any decision, same with Grawndy..
i like ROB for value if you can find an extra 66k..
Heywould be keen to know your thoughts?

Fwd: T.Taranto, J.Dunkley, O.Allen, E.Gulden, F.Greene, H.Sheezel (Phillipou, A.Davey)
$318K in the bank
If don’t trust Constable on field it’s pointless having him at all, the same with Baker. I can’t see Allen improving much on last year. Yes Kennedy has gone, still he is a key forward in a low ranked team. I’m not convinced Lycett will make over 100K in cash imo. Finally, be prepared in case some of the 200K rookies don’t play. Can’t fault your premiums
I can see Allen improving on last year mainly because he didn’t play last year.
I must admit I didn’t consider that…..Stingray ,just be prepared for some low scores at times.
Cheers

Fantasy Bois – C6YJ6MVD
We are fantasy fanatics who need a challenge!
chesser or wilmot on field?
chesser with yeo out imo
Yeo out.
The carnage begins.
Almost requires a total rebuild
Brodie > Sheed, Yeo > anyone other than Sinclair or Dawson. Who to get? Or raid the rookies to scrounge a few thou to get Sinclair or Dawson?
Not keen on sacrificing rookies, I just bumped Serong down to Sheed and went Yeo to Doch.
It really does. The choice for me is blindly going down to Bowes, or one eif several restructures which require me to swing Ginbey down back, trade out one or both of Holland’s/Phillips (really hurting my cash gen in the process) and consider bringing in mid priced FWD/, or even tweaking R2 to anything from a set and forget setup, or a 2nd string ruck.
It’s an absolute nightmare, and to top it off, this restructure will more or less rely on needing a rookie to come out of left field that none of us have considered, and I’ll only have an hour to consider it, as Holland’s is playing first up 😅
Dead set mayhem down at Muffin’s Magoos
If Bowes is named on half back or wing, I’m going Bowes
Had him locked until he was a no show for the praccies, and now I have minimal faith.
I’m trying to tell myself they wanted to hide his potential from everyone for round one, because from what I heard he looked great in the first practice match. I just don’t want to go down to Day, and don’t want to gut my team by going up to a Young or Daicos. I think Bowes can average between 80-85, maybe higher, and Yeo I was probably thinking was going to ge a 90, so it’s what I’m leaning towards unless he’s not named or on the pine. I like Worpel and Callaghan too much at m5 and m6 to change one of them to a rookie for the cash either. I like Phillips on bench. I could easily change Worps or Callaghan to Holland’s, but I think for points difference, the gap between a Bowes and a Young/Daicos isn’t going to be more than Callaghan for a rookie. That’s what I’m betting on anyways
Yikes! Time to find a new D4. Thoughts on who will take over his CBA for Weagles? Could we see Ginbey more in the middle?
Holly shit balls – I just saw that news. There goes the next 48 hours of my life 😱
Probably my fault. I took him out yesterday because I could afford Doc. LMAO.
So, make everyone else fall going into the final straight of the team selection cup.
keen for thoughts on this team, considering swapping sic and mcgrath for Young and daicos?:
Def: Doch, Sicily, Mcgrath, Const, Ginb, Cowan (chess, wilmot)
Mid: Laird Oliver, bray, worp, callaghan, 3rooks (hollands davey)
Fwd: Dunk, Taranto, Rozee, gulden, pou, sheezel (Long Greene)
How much kitty? The big name mid rooks are costly, and can’t see your rucks either.
B- Stewart Lloyd Cummins McGrath constable Ginbey (rook rook)
M- Steele Neale smith green Worpel Ashcroft Mackenzie Phillips (rook rook)
R- Marshall Darcy (rook)
F- Taranto rozee gulden Flanders sheezel phillipou (rook rook)
Thoughts please
McKenna or Chesser?
Bont and Phillipou or Gulden and Callaghan?
gulden and callaghan
Yeo out, Day in with about $100k for contingencies. Can anyone convince me otherwise?
I am not a fan of Day so I think he’s a good choice for everyone.
Yeah unfortunately that’s my initial move too – but Id already ruled him out as I fear he might break himself at any time in the midfield….but so far my tiny brain hasn’t delivered anything better
Had Day locked in at D5 for the last week.
Steele and Macrae
OR
Brayshaw and Jelly
(or i suppose steele and jelly is an option and i get 76k to fix this nightmare of a team)
DEF – doch dawson mcgrath constable ginbey wilmont (chesser, 200k rook)
MID – laird mid2 mid3 sheed callaghan ashcroft mackenzie phillips (davey, roberts)
RUC – english marshall (mcandrew)
FWD – dunks taranto rozee gulden sheezel poo (greene, sturt)
UTI – long
are we considering loophole options??
who’s the go if we are?
i have doc vc currently
who are you going with for the doughnut then??
cincotta and oliver as vc
personally would go Brayshaw and Jelly. Macrae might get put on the wing some games and steele is a very patchy player he could average 110 in the first 5 games and than average 95 to the bye games
Which option do we rate the most now that Yeo hasn’t been named…
option 1
DEF – Doc, Daicos, McGrath, Constable, Ginbey, Chesser
MID – Laird, Brayshaw, Macrae, Green, Callaghan, Ashcroft, Mackenzie, Phillips
or
option 2
DEF – Doc, McGrath, Day, Constable, Ginbey, Chesser
MID – Laird, Brayshaw, Oliver, Macrae, Callaghan, Ashcroft, Mackenzie, Phillips
I need serious help as I am in shambles after the Yeo news so any advice would be great! Thank you!
Of those 2 options I’d probably choose the first one
Callaghan or Worpel? Who do we think will score more…
Not sure – been playing this one through for weeks. My thoughts are, if you have the cash start the higher (Worp) and go down to Callaghan in round 1 or 2 if he pops and Worp doesn’t have the right role
Lloyd + Warner
Or
Bowes + LDU?
Young to Lloyd after Yeo to Bowes
RDT 944320
sicily and mcgrath or Hayden young and daicos? or any better options?
Best mid under 900k (excluding Green)
1. Josh Kelly 2.bont 3. tom Mitchell
Thoughts on:
Cowan at D6
LDU at M2
Having all 5: Dunks, Cogs, Taranto, Rozee, Gulden
Who would you take? Day or Jones?
Day all day.
Please save me from myself…. I’ve seen that TDK has been named without Pittonet, and I’m so tempted to drop Darcy down to TDK for a cash grab to fix up Yeo….
I’ve always been a big fan of TDK when he’s solo.
Preseasons done and happy with my squad, now to resist the urge to do something stupid…
Could you consider TDK?
I looked also. You just can’t do it though, surely.
Let me put it this way
Laird, Maclean, TDK
Or
Brayshaw, Pedlar, Darcy
And I don’t think I could do it, very royactionary…. but oddly tempted
Option 2 for me, depending on which Brayshaw possibly.
Option 2 is premiums, possibly even keepers, while option 1 could go backwards.
Cheers, I agree
9242J7D7
McKenna or Chesser?
Chesser
