What a round hey! The biggest concern will be finding a replacement for Rowell. Similar to Howe last week, his price is still rising so it isn’t a fair reflection of his average. That makes a straight swap borderline impossible and you will find yourself grabbing cash to ‘upgrade’ to a lesser player. Having said that, here are some players worth looking at this week.

Get them in!
Lachie Whitfield (FWD/MID, $677,000) BE 43: After a rough start to the year with form an injury issues, the Giants hard running utility has dropped $167k. He knocked up his first 100 on the weekend and has a BE of 43. The perfect target as a Rowell upgrade in the midfield and swing him forward when convenient.
David Swallow (FWD/MID, $638,000) BE 37: The newly crowned DPP has thrown his hat in the ring with forward status, especially following the loss of his teammate Rowell. His CBA’s took a big jump with the Suns rookie sensation off the ground, attending 17 and its no coincidence it coincided with a season high 94. Traditionally he has been pretty safe for a pre Corona ball 85 or so.
Nick Haynes (DEF, $668,000) BE 13: The high volume marker has been very solid this year, without being outstanding. If fact, before the weekend, he was a little below the high expectations I had for him with just one score over 80. On the weekend however he let loose, equalling his season high with 11 marks for an impressive 115.
Sam Menegola (MID, $658,000) BE 24: After an indifferent start to the year, it finally appears Menegola has hit his straps and as we know with him, his scoring will take care of itself once this happens. He is playing with plenty of freedom which often equates to a high number of marks and that has certainly been the case in the last two weeks with 16 in that time for scores of 106 and 89. If you like a unique… He is owned by 0% of the competition
Jake Aarts (FWD, $197,000) BE -9: If you need to go down from Rowell and you need it to be under $200k, Aarts is well worth a look after his impressive debut and the state of the decimated Tigers. It certainly looks like he will be given plenty of opportunities given the circumstances and impressive debut which consisted of 15 possessions, three marks and two tackles.
Must have:
Lachie Neale (MID, $930,000) BE 37: Let’s face it, there is no way we should be paying that much for a player… But seriously, he is killing it. Not only is he averaging 114 while topping triple figures every week, he is also available as loophole captain this week when the matchups aren’t overly valuable for some of our regular options.
YOU… Get the chop!
Matthew Rowell (MID, $527,000) BE 41: The young Sun has been an absolute sensation this year, playing with maturity and skill well beyond his years which has seen him rise $257k. Unfortunately, he shoulder injury didn’t look good and he will need to be traded at an awkward price. There aren’t many straight price options, so up or down will need to be the play.
