Roy’s Trade Talk – Rd 14

Bye weeks are over but damn there is some carnage to deal with. Here are a few names that might help you navigate it. Be sure to discuss your ideas in the comments

The bye rounds are over but hold the celebration… There is carnage looming with confirmation of Selwood and Barlow out, mixed reports about Kelly, Nank and Rocky while my mate Zak Jones got suspended and don’t get me started on that bullshit.

Here are my top trade targets for the week:

Dom Sheed (MID/FWD, $486,000) Has embraced an increased midfield role and his scoring is reflecting that with a three round average of 112 and a break even of just 50. A great option.

Isaac Heeney (MID/FWD, $530,000) is all class and it has become obvious as to why I was throwing the ‘must have’ label a few weeks ago. He has a three game average of 105 which includes scores of 113 and 109 in his last two leading into a home game against the Bombers where he should easily cover his BE of 86.

Toby Greene (FWD, $531,000) is in season best form with an average of 108 in his last three. Unlike the above two, he doesn’t spend much time up the ground in comparison but if doesn’t effect his scoring. He is a nice price given form and the fact he has dropped $29K since the start of the year.

Nick Riewoldt (FWD, $525,000) is not for the faint of heart, but it may be the last opportunity to have the great man in your team…  even if it is unlikely to be every game over the remainder of the season. He is down $142K since the start of the year despite a respectable average of 97 and he is coming off an impressive 106 where he was receiving marks in the back pocket from kick ins… always a good sign.

Jack Newnes (DEF/MID, $518,000) was very disappointing last week but he is still a great buy at this price. He has a three round average of 112 and has three out of his next four at ES.

Jake Lloyd (DEF/MID, $509,000) is nice and cheap due to his KO in 2 a few weeks ago. If you ignore that, he has scores of 91, 122, 122 and 106 in his last four… very nice for a defender.

Seb Ross (MID, $618,000) is a dead set jet and it is mind blowing that he is owned by less that 1% of the competition. He is averaging 117 in his last five games and has dropped under 110 on just one occasion in that time. He is absolutely ripping up ES and has plenty of games there on the run home.

Adam Treloar ($617,000) is one of the bargain of the week considering he is a genuine Fantasy star. He is averaging 114 despite a rough patch where he was battling injury but he looks to be well over that with scores of 116, 117, 109 and 126 in his last four.

Well there you have it, hopefully a couple of those names get you thinking and be sure to discuss your ideas in the comments.
