Forwards: Jonathan Brown, Jason Porplyzia, Brendan Fevola, Nathan Thompson, Matthew Pavlich, Angus Monfries, Brad Johnson.

Bank: $101k remaining.

Pimp My TeamPersonally this is a pretty good start you have here Mr. Leon. I’m really happy with your back line.  Your centres are very weak dude but I guess you can strengthen this area as the season progresses. Maybe go with a better centre and lose a Brown, Pav or Jonno, you’re a bit greedy with these gun forwards. Get rid of Justin Sherman, he did nothing last year and is doing nothing in the NAB cup (9 touches).  Also, be careful of grabbing mega forward players, Thommo and Fev, 150pts one week, 12pts the next more up and down than a yo-yo with bipolar. Rucks are ok, but both are very injury prone. I’m looking now at potential captains for you. Chad, Brownie, Pav and Brad Johnson – not too bad, you have choices here, with Chad most likely your #1 go to round 1. Well done champ, thanks for supporting our stuff and good luck! – oh and change the name of ya team!

Jimmy is the latest DT coach to have his squad ‘pimped’ by the DT Talk boys for his team, “DE! FC“.

Scott Thompson, Daniel Cross, Adam Goodes, Travis Johnstone, Nick Stevens, Bachar Houli

Jonathon Brown, Scott Lucas, Brett Deledio, Brendon Fevola, (Barry Hall/Robert Murphy/Corey Jones), Jason Proplyzia, Lachie Henderson

Pimp My TeamAlright Jimmy! Nice work… the first thing I went to were your bench players. Most of them look as though they will play a fair chunck of the year… and judging my NAB Cup form, quite a few will be nice little cash cows! It’s interesting that there are a few untried, or very inexperienced players on your ground - such as Selwood, Hampson and Henderson - but they are the risks you need to take.

I love your backline! Not a heap of big names, but some decent scorers and a nice even range of players. Martin Mattner is risky, but after his effort against the Hawks last week, his value will sky rocket! Hopefully Milburn can have a decent year for you. I’m worried he is going to start to slide with his DT output.

Stevens is an obvious choice in the midfield and you’d be stupid not to have him - when to sell might be the only question over him! I am worried about Travis Johnstone in the centre. I’m not completely sold on him for 2008. Only time will tell whether he will rekindle the DT form he has displayed in the past, but in a midfield full of stars, will he get less attention and more of the ball, or will the other dudes keep it away from him?

Interesting choice with the rucks. I have never been a fan of Koschitzke, but is reasonably priced with his forward opportunities and Hampson is the right choice, in my opinion, if you were going to pick a Carlton ruckman, albeit risky.

The All-Star, value adding forward line is the best part of DE! FC. I think that Robert Murphy is your man (however I think I will take Bazza aswell). He is a star! I’d dump Porplyzia and bring in both Hall and Murphy - more potential there for big scores… and surely Hall has to bounce back?!

Nice team my man! Loving it!

Pimp My Team: Nicho

Pimp My TeamSo you’ve wasted three days on FanPlanner stitching together a squad that, let’s be honest, is still a Jimmy Bartel or two short of scraping into your league’s top eight. Never fear, Pimp My Team is here. Send your half-baked teams to the DT Talk crew and we’ll run a blowtorch over it until it’s cooked on the inside and crispy on the outside. Hmm, DT tastiness!

First up is Nicho with his PowerLade lads.

PowerLade

Backs: Joel Bowden, Heath Shaw, Peter Burgoyne, Graham Johncock, Jesse Smith, Thomas Murphy, Lachlan Hansen

Centres: Adam Goodes, Chris Judd, Brock McLean, Jay Nash, Brent Prismall, Simon Buckley

Rucks: Brendan Lade, Troy Symmonds

Forwards: Nick Riewoldt, Jonathon Brown, Brett Deledio, Angus Monfries, Nick Gill, Sean Rusling, Jarryd Morton

Bench: Darren Pfeffier, Lachlan Henderson (BACK), Craig Bird, Beau Muston (CTR), John Meesen, Shaun Hampson (RUCK), James Sellar, Daniel O’keefe (FWD)

Bank: $276k remaining.

For having the balls to be the first DT coach thrust under the microscope, we promise to not be too brutal. However…

…what the Travis Tuck is Thomas Murphy doing in your starting 22? The same goes for Morton and Buckley. On the positive side, you’ve got a bucketload of cash left in the bank. Please, mate, spend some of it and put your rookies and $150,000k players back in their place: confined to the pine.

Once you’ve upgraded Murphy, Morton and Buckley, spend the remainder on your mid-range players. I know Jonathan Brown has big shoulders, but are they really broad enough to carry an entire dream team? Blokes like him, Riewoldt and Bowden - your out-and-out DT stars - need a little more back-up. You can obviously identify a jet; just beware of tapering off to quickly. And don’t be concerned about blowing all your dough - the boys you’ve assembled on the bench are bound to make you a handsome profit.

You’ve officially been pimped.
