AFL Teams 2017: Round 23

6:25pm Thursday 17/08/2017

Fantasy Grand Final Teams are in! There isnt too much damage, indeed it looks pretty good for teams in the Grand Final. As earlier reported Sean Darcy (Ruck $415,000) out reported, and if you have Dan Hannebery as a POD, he’s out too.
We have a few teams giving youngsters a run, so if you need a downgrade and want them to be playing (eg need an emergency) you have Harry Morrison (Def $150,000) , Patrick Lipinski (Mid/Fwd $196,000), Ben McKay (Fwd $150,000) and depending on Sunday extended bench selections Bailey Rice (Def $150,000), Jake Waterman (Mid/Def $150,000).
Gary Ablett (Mid $676,000) is back to quite likely play his last game for the Suns. Brodie Grundy (Ruck $575,000) is back from report, and those who held Nic Newman (Def/Mid $459,000), hes back in.
For those feeling nostalgic Steve Johnson (Fwd $403,000), Matthew Boyd (Def $450,000), Jobe Watson (Mid $443,000) have been named to play.
Its been a fun year! Hope to see you all bright and early in preseason DTTalk next year!

  • Every time I get my hands on
I try to make you dub, with my chips wouldn’t stack
    Than man I wouldn’t hustle
I’m legal dog – I got the same desert eagle dog
When birds fly out of my hands
And to my people dog – Ya understand
The white man can’t fuck with me
I Hoo-Bang in the streets Hoo my company
Papered up beyond mother fucker’s belief
A millionaire patrolling the city streets
See the flames burning in my eyes mother fucker?
Cause if you sleep on it you get these dreams mother fucker
I ain’t the one like I said, “I want it all”
And like my Conrads, time to wake up and ball
Call shots, have it ready – soft and rocked
Let all my neighbor hood fiends
Come to scrap all the pots
Let my little B.G.’s run the hood spots
And if it’s funked than my killers come to shut down the block

  • Do you think matthew boyd would be a good option as a p.o.d this week?

    • Not really. He hasnt played well for awhile. If I was in a Grand Final i wouldn’t.
But hes the sort of player some people are trading in for nostalgic reasons if not in any Grand Finals.

  • Trade rocky, witherden or Dollshouse?
    To a mid
I have Danger, Titch, Merrett, Fyfe, Beams, Oliver, Prestia, Rocky
I have 700k and with game matchups I’m think JPK, thoughts?

  • Who would you ditch newnes Ryan gaff or lambert

  • James Kelly from the bombers worth a shout?

  • Which two to bring in out of Kelly, Merrett, Zaharakis, Zorko, Gibbs and Fyfe?

  • Zorko’s injury? What are his chances of playing?

  • Can anyone help out please. Into 2 grand finals out of 2. One will be closer than the other so very important on trades this week.

Have 132k in bank plus 2 trades, what to do??

Doc, Adams, laird, roberton, newnes, witherden (nyhuis, White)
Titch, danger, zerrett, dusty, Duncan, treloar, beams, rocky (graham, glass)
    Martin, Gawn (2 x 150k rookies)
Macrae, menegola, yeo, Heeney, Dahl, WHE (deluca, beech)

Last week lowest scorers were Gawn and roberton and WHE has been on my radar

    Ryder and boak
    Ryder and Houli

    • its GF so I would
      Dahl to Ryder
I reckon Ryder will dominate the ruck at home and can go big.

I reckon Gawn will struggle against Grundy. Bellchambers has the possibility of going big against no recognised Ruck.
Your other possible average scores are Roberton, Rocky, Newnes. Hard to call without seeing your opponents team.
      Good luck!

      • Opposition vs me

        Ryan vs roberton
        Gibbs vs Duncan
        B crouch vs rocky
        Kreuzer vs Martin
        Franklin vs Macrae
        Steele vs Dahl
        Greenwood vs WHE

        Rest same

      • Opposition vs me

        Simpson vs roberton
        Ryan vs newnes
        Shaw vs witherden
        J Kelly vs danger
        B crouch vs treloar
        Hanners vs Duncan
        Sidey vs yeo
        R gray vs menegola
        Roughead vs Dahl

        Rest same

  • Play Ryan or scharanberg

  • What do you think:
Zaha and Pops Kelly (Is there any love for Pops)
    Or
    Wingard and Simpson??
    Cheers

    • Option 2: Wingard at home has been awesome & plays GC, Simpson awesome record v Swans. Bombers should go well but prefer option 2

  • Pfft!
Ablett back in? Yeah, right, for about an hour and a half … what a surprise lol

  • Any thoughts on which out of zorko murohy yeo or Sloane to bring in for Hanners?

  • who will score more this week dahlhaus or greenwood??

  • Houli or Laird?

  • Hi all.. Badly stuck on what to do for my last luxury trade:
Narrowed it down to Tuohy (loves playing at the cattery so 2nd guessing), Hodge (46 last week), Dahlhaus and Steven (inconsistent)
Here’s my dilemma, will Hodge want to come out and play an absolute blinder in his last game or spud it up a 2nd week in a row.
Dahlhaus has been horribly inconsistent with a last 3 round average of 74. Yuck.
Then old yo-yo Jack Steven, almost enough for my never again list but is capable of going big but seems lacks interest at times. Just not sure I can trade a guy off the back of 117.

The trades I was thinking are as follows:
    Tuohy- Houli or Hibberd
    Hodge- Houli or Hibberd
Dahlhaus- Sidey, Billings (55 against Tigers last time though) or Wingard
    Steven- Zerrett or Sidey

    Any thoughts appreciated. 😁

  • Love your thoughts guys. Either Simpson (great record v Swans) & NRoo or JJ & Wingard?

  • Is Zorko actually a chance not too play ?

  • North and lions are playing for the wooden spoon. What’s the chance a premium gets rested for No1 draft

    • No 1 Draft pick doesn’t mean crap these days, Any player selected in the top 20 with the right club/coach can become a star of the future.

      Good Luck

  • Ryan to Hibberd
    Or
    Gaff to Kelly

Currently going 2 but still unsure

  • Dahl or Nank, team?
